Fantastic experience: I rarely review anything on here, but this place deserves it. WOW. It is a little bit on the smaller side, but it is jam packed with top tier equipment. And a Great atmosphere. I called in to get a daypass (10£) and got in touch with the owner directly. If i lived here THIS is where i would train. Great old school style bodybuilding gym!

Fantastic experience: Visited for 2 days & the owner was fantastically helpful in organising day passes. The gym, while relatively small, was perfect for me to continue my intense style of training. I enjoyed the facilities thoroughly and wouldn’t look elsewhere if returning in the future. The gym was also very clean & well looked after by the owner and members equally. Free parking & location is a major bonus. For anyone who trains seriously: Top quality barbells Top quality racks / comp style bench Great machines (all muscle groups fully covered) Cable machines are very high quality

Fantastic experience: Great gym, awesome people. There you can find a wide range of equipment for powerlifting, body building and weight lifting.

Fantastic experience: I worked out here for the month I stayed in Edinburgh. It's still the gym I compare all others to in terms of quality for the price you pay almost a year later. It may not have the fancy amenities like the big chain gyms but if your goal is to lift weights, this place is hard to beat anywhere in the world.

Fantastic experience: Really great gym, good quality equipment, with everything you need for an effective workout. They even had a sissy squat machine and a glute ham raise which is something you'd never find in a commercial gym.

Fantastic experience: If you are serious about strength training this is the place to train in Edinburgh! The equipment is spotless and there is also the possibility to train outdoor if the Scottish weather allows ;-) We felt very welcome and Martin, the owner, was very friendly.

Fantastic experience: We were on vacation for 10 days and were so lucky to choose this as our place to train. Everyone, including the owner Martin, is super friendly. The gym has everything you need to get a solid workout. In fact, training was the best way to start our day. It’s a no nonsense, get it done, awesome gym. When we come back, we are definitely training at this gym.

Fantastic experience: I came to Edinburgh for the Fringe, but I occasional like to keep fit and maintain a healthy shape. Plus, lifting weights helps with the diaphragm. Great gym and it was 2 minutes away from where I was staying! The staff are all very pleasant, even though I'm a grumpy dick most of the time. You can put your own music on and there's everything you need: From 1kg-50kg dumbbells; cables; bars; racks; Olympic station; belts; resistance straps; cardio machines. PLUS! I joined with no fee or obligatory contract, which is fantastic! I could pay, train and then leave without no hassle. One thing was missing, sadly, that was the English flag. Every other flag under the sun on display, but that one. ;) Keep up the good work guys. Highly recommend.

They are always adding new equipment and upgrading to provide the best exsperience. The new addition of gym rings is a lot of fun and great for testing core skills ;) thanks guys

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym as it was near me, and now it's the only gym I train in. The equipment is excellent and unlike what you find in any other gym, and they have managed to squeeze in everything you need to reach your fitness goals. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am not new to exercise but very new to the gym environment and was a little bit apprehensive about going to the Body Building Gym. I needn't have been. The team at the Bodybuilding gym couldn't have been more welcoming. They took the time to listen to what I wanted to get from attending the gym and wrote me a specific program that took into account my needs, goals and the time I had available to dedicate to strength training. It was definitely a collaborative process. It's clear that the team know what they are talking about with their knowledge only rivaled by their passion for sharing it. They explained everything to me in a jargon free way, patiently and demonstrated the correct techniques making sure I had understood everything before moving on. Was very impressed and cannot wait to see the results as I work hard with continued encouragement and support from Sharon, Martin and the rest of the team.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant and knowledgeable staff, really friendly and make you feel comfortable straight away! Really catered for what I was wanting to achieve and never felt intimidated at all! Banter was a great bonus lol, defo be back and recommend to anyone at any level of fitness

Time was taken on showing me proper techniques whilst using equipment, im generally left to do my own thing so felt id properly worked out for 1st time in ages
