Fantastic experience: Fantastic, friendly gym. My kids and I all have 1-2-1 sessions. I have felt such a difference in my fitness levels. Both kids (who are not naturally sporty) love coming and I have seen improvements in their ability and confidence so quickly. I started the classes recently. The guys are all really cool and inclusive, and there are plenty of women to pair up with too. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Harriet is a kickass coach - professional, experienced, friendly and really attentive; in depth demonstrations in our 1:1s and always welcome questions. Find me a female coach that can do what she does, I'll wait! I occasionally join Kamil's thai boxing classes on Wednesday where he strips everything down to the basics and explains the techniques in detail - absolutely love it!! SFA sometimes hold 'free' ladies self defence classes where you get to meet MMA coach Mark, who shows you how to get out of difficult positions, especially when on the ground. It's an eye-opener for sure!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been doing 121s here regularly for 4 years now and I can honestly say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I get a very good workout every week without fail with Harriet! The gym is clean and all the staff are very friendly!

Fantastic experience: I've been training at SFA for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I regularly go to the Thai boxing and MMA classes and also 1 to 1 private sessions- I love it all and that love can only come from the passion and skills the coaches bring to the gym. Whatever level you are, all are welcome and everyone is catered for- either by the support of the coaches or our fellow team mates- it's one big happy family! Over the years Harriet has put a lot of time and effort making the gym what it is today. Besides the fantastic training the place has had a fresh new revamp and the shop has grown and now has everything stocked for what you need to support your training.

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best martial arts gym I’ve ever been to hands down. I do the k1/Muay Thai classes and most of them are an hour and a half which gives us all time to absorb the lesson properly and get a good workout. I find there’s such a good balance of technique, building fitness and sparring with everyone. Really good amount of girls in all the classes too and a real mix of sizes and weights. For a gym that is always packed every class, it always smells nice! Like tiger balm! The shop is always fully stocked too. Harriet has worked wonders with the gym, they had a complete update less than a year ago and looks like new. Also should add that SFA do free ladies self defence workshops every few weeks for the community and throw great Xmas parties!!! Literally can’t fault this gym.

Fantastic experience: Been going on and off for years. Previously Semtex, different management, same coaches but not as well managed/operated. Can't go wrong with either discipline, beginners and advanced members in all. The coaches are very good, one of the best I've come across from so many I've been to in London. Unlike others, it's structured and explained clearly and patiently with teachers taking their time going around to make sure each pair have understood and using correct techniques etc. Pricing not bad either.

Negative experience: Messaged asking for one to one lessons, was given the number of an instructor. Messaged him. Three days later still no reply. I messaged the owner again and she pushed him to reply finally. He apologised and said he was very busy with all the one to one lessons and when would i like to come along? I told him.... many days later.... still silence. I guess they're making so much money that they don't need anymore. Good for them. I'll take my business to someone that actually wants it.
