Kratos Gym: Opinions
Fantastic experience: I joined the gym last month, great gym awesome enviroment and provides eveything you need and more to get the job done. Whether you are an old skool or new skool fella this facility is perfect for everyone.
Fantastic experience: Great gym - lots of equipment even when injured you can get a solid workout in - it’s a gym you miss when you go away ❤️
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym
Fantastic experience: In almost 20 years of training in bodybuilding gyms, I've only once found a gym that hits all the right points in the same way Kratos does. It's on par with the best gym I've ever trained in (which was Built Differently in Harringey). Here's why: 1. Equipment selection is excellent. They clearly understand what makes a good machine and are prepared to invest in finding the right kit. They have a solid range across the gym (rather than 15 chest presses and one leg extension) and it all works as it should. There are no machines in this gym that don't serve a purpose. 2. They maintain the machines properly. So many bodybuilding gyms fail to do this. Cables are adjusted correctly with the right amount of tension, bearings are greased, upholstery is in good condition. Having knackered equipment doesn't make a gym 'hardcore'. Having well maintained, well chosen equipment that enables you to train hard does, and that's what they have here. 3. Atmosphere. They have thought about seemingly small things like the colour scheme and lighting in the gym. They play decent music at the right volume so you don't need headphones. 4. Members. There are some really high quality, pro level physiques in this gym but really the testament to the quality of the gym is more the fact that everyone training from weekend warriors to pros is on a level above other gyms I've trained in. You only get that if you get all the other stuff right. What could they do to improve? Minor things - replace the incline press with a more robust one - Life Fitness signature series are the best imo. Get some more bumper plates or even a few calibrated ones. Get a couple of Texas Power Bars or Rogue Ohio bars. When there's more space available, a couple of extra racks wouldn't go amiss.
Positive experience: Great kit. Needs better signage
Fantastic experience: Best gym in St Ives by a long way. Can’t fault the place from the equipment choice to the cleanliness. A great gym for everyone - whether you are just starting out in the gym or an experienced bodybuilder.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym, the area had been crying out for a gym with bespoke equipment, they have incredible staff/owners, who are approachable and engaging, all for a great price guaranteeing value for money.
Fantastic experience: Unbelievable bodybuilding gym with some of the best kit I’ve ever used. Absolute must visit for any serious lifter.
Fantastic experience: Quality gym, great vibe and all of the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. If you are serious about your training then this is the gym for you. Cardio room, lots of weights - free weights and machines as well as a posing room if you need to practice that too. I don't live around here anymore but whenever I'm down I'll be going here as in my opinion it's the best gym in the area.
