Fantastic experience: Good place for kids, best place in london for all kinds of kids and adults to learn taekwondo.

Fantastic experience: My son attends the club and has benefitted from his practice in so many ways: boosted confidence, discipline, focus, physical fitness and stamina. And most importantly, he can defend himself and has proven himself in sparring bouts where he can react with control to being challenged. Also the sense of belonging to a club and having new friends and the motivation to continue his practice to earn his black belt. He also has ADHD, and TKD helps to burn off excess energy and help him focus. TKD isn’t only about self-defence, it’s also about personal development and learning control of your body, emotions and mind. Couldn’t recommend this friendly club more; with Master Sammy’s expert leadership, it will make a difference that we as parents can’t achieve.

Fantastic experience: I was quite skeptical at first for my 6 year old daughter but the first day she join in she really enjoyed her first session that’s why she continue attending the session twice a week and she definitely developed her self confidence and learning new skills through taekwondo. Fantastic experience: My 7 year old son has been attending for a month now. I find the class is very disciplined which you need in Taekwondo. The children enjoy the varied classes which include a mixture of fitness, patterns, using pads and learning the key moves. Master Sammy you can see is a confident and skilled coach. Master Sam is great with the kids, he also starts slowly with the different techniques and builds from there. Master Sammy has great communication with the parents and show the kids work on a closed group.

Fantastic experience: My son has been attending Karoon Taekwondo since Sept 2021. He really enjoys the training and sparing, which is well taught and disciplined. Children/adults are expected to train hard and focus - exactly what is needed in a combat sport. Gradings occur at intervals based on a child’s development. Master Sammy runs the club and ensures a strong level of commitment, and emphasises technique and understanding.

Master r Sammy recognised my child's coordination problem which surprised me because my son have a bit of problem but coordinating his body movements. Fantastic experience: Master Sam is very in tune with the students , he saw how sensitive my youngest is and he has been working in building his confidence while developing his taekwondo skills. My son progressed fast into his yellow belt and his confidence is visible. I love the respect and manners he instils in the students while teaching them how to be partners and friends who are caring towards eachother. Plus it is really affordable and a safe environment for my boys .

Fantastic experience: My son has been training with Karoon for over 7 years and he is now almost to black belt. It has been great to see how his confidence and strength has developed over these years. It has been a worthwhile experience for him.

Fantastic experience: My 3 sons have been atending Taekwondo lessons for over 6 years with Sammy he is an excellent coach and my boys have learned so much in this time. I would recommend to anyone with active boys, the Finsbury Leisure Centre is also very local to us its great to have stuff like this in the area for young children to teenagers and adults. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I work in sobell leisure centre as a ice skating assistant and a kids activity instructor. They have tought me a few lessons now as i used to do thai kwon do when i was younger and my i wanted to get them to teach my child but wanted to test it first to make sure she will like it and this is the best martial arts group i have come accrossed in terms of teaching disicipline and the teacher has a 6th dan degree which i havnt come accross anyone higher in north london. They are really good with all ages and it feels more like a family comunity than a class. I definately reccomened for anyone who wants to start a martial arts or get there children into it. Full contact self defense for adults if you just want to learn how to not get attacked or mugged living in london. For all ages and stages as i said earlier. Its a fun class and i have learned so much since i have started. I plan on finishing the class until i have reached black belt and the teacher is due credit for this

Fantastic experience: All four of us attend this club as a family. Our children are aged 6 and 9. Our son is especially shy and lacks confidence, it's amazing to see the difference in our son already. Master Sammy is a great role model for children. He is firm but not overly so which means the club is friendly. Discipline and respect are taught through out in a kind manner. The children are encouraged to be themselves, to work hard and to challenge themselves. In terms of us, good accessible classes where the students also help you to get better. You don't need any experience to begin and you will be looked after so you don't need to feel silly. Would highly recommend this club. Islington needs more of this especially for children as it encourages good health and a good outlook for themselves. Also great to see such positive adult role models.
