Fantastic experience: I’ve recently completed my first six weeks at Hyfit and have absolutely loved it. I’ve never been able to stick at something for this length of time and I think it’s down to the friendly, welcoming community and patient, professional guidance of the instructors. I was really unfit when I started and didn’t think gyms were for me, but training alongside people from all walks of life and fitness levels is so inspiring and has encouraged me to really push myself. I’d never used free weights before but because I’ve been patiently helped 1:1 to build a proper technique it’s given me real confidence. I’ve lost weight, feel stronger and better in my own body. It’s a really great way to wind down after work and the class times are spaced throughout the day so I can work it round a busy week. I couldn’t recommend this fab community highly enough!
Fantastic experience: TL:DR - This place really works and massively helps with motivation and accountability. If you want REAL change and don't just want to "Go to a gym" then this is the one for me. After a long hiatus from the gym due to years of shoulder injury then surgery, a return to a gym was pretty daunting, plus as I hit 40 I was more focussed on wanting to be fit and healthy. Having researched various options I came across Hyfit, and after a brief chat on Whatsapp with Danny the gym owner I decided to sign up for their 6 week programme. See what I could achieve in six weeks if I fully committed to Danny's asks from me (The accountabillity bit) So... The Ask: Danny mandated that I do 10k steps a day, and workout minimum three times a week, with some small adjustments to my schedule such as going out walking for meetings I didn't have to be on video for example or walking at lunchtime / after work I made this work Classes have lots of options, so I've been able to easily make three a week work, and there is so much variety that I haven't done the same thing twice in six weeks, it's always fresh with a great combination of sometimes lift focused sometimes cardio/conditioning focused Nutrition Danny asked I stick to 1950 cals a day, was originally 2150 but I said I wanted a proper blowout once a week ha, I've been sticking to this pretty religiously, Danny also mandated 50% carbs which was a big surprise to me as I thought it would be higher protein, I protested that I wanted to lose weight, he asked me to trust him as we needed to fuel my workouts, I did, he was right. The Gym - The gym itself is really well equipped, never any issues with not enough equipment, it's of a high standard and there's nothing more to say. Full marks. The community - The gym is full of every kind of everyday person, people of all shapes and sizes, regardless of your current mentality I promise you will fit in here, everyone is friendly and approachable too, they have a really nice community going and do regular socials, group hikes etc for recovery. It's really nice to see outside of your normal gym. There are of course people in amazing shape that can inspire you! My point is don't feel like you can't come here because it's full of massive men or gym bunny women. Everybody can train here. The coaches - Every session is led by a coach who is friendly, and VERY helpful, got an issue with an injury? They'll help you work around it in a way that let's you carry on working, got a question about form? They'll break it down so you understand it bit by bit. Again top marks, great people and really helped my confidence despite some injury concerns. Extra: On top of normal programming they run extra programmes in cycles, for example at the moment a "GAIN" programme focused on building extra muscle through a small addition to your normal session of 30 mins before or after your workout. They run other things like shred for fat burning etc. Each of these is ran in a programmatical way that assess where you are first, then puts a structured approach in place as to how to improve. Very effective. The results: Six weeks in I've lost 6KG, my muscles feel harder, my body looks better, don't get me wrong I'm not transformed overnight, it's six weeks of honest work and it takes time, but for six weeks Danny has delivered impeccably, I've been able to have the odd small treat through the week so I feel normal, with a proper treat on the weekend. How I feel: I feel great, fitter already, though again I'm sure there is lots more to go, I have more energy, feel less lethargic and look forward to my sessions. I feel fresh. Summary - If you got this far in my detailed review then I'd urge you to get in touch with them and just give them six weeks, commit to the programme and you cannot fail. Danny and the team really know what they are doing, I'm now a permanent member.
Fantastic experience: Just completed my 6 weeks intro to the gym and it’s been excellent. I’ve been made to feel very welcome and supported in my quest to improve my fitness and undertake strength training for the first time. All the coaches are knowledgeable and very encouraging. It’s been great fun and you are made to feel part of a community. The programmes are varied and always interesting and training in a class setting is much more enjoyable and motivating than training alone. I definitely recommend the 6 week programme to kick start your health and fitness journey.
Fantastic experience: Great location and facility with a lot of gym floor space! The coaches are very knowledgable and fellow members are very welcoming. The type of training has helped improve my overall fitness as the training is transferable into my chosen sport of rugby league

Fantastic experience: Started just over 3 years ago with no experience of CrossFit at all, just going to my usual gym doing classes and was bored so i decided to have a change, I’ve loved it ever since , there’s something for everyone, the coaches are so professional and the classes are very organised. It’s very addictive as u get better with the movements over time . It’s different everyday and the people are all friendly, I wish I had started years ago when I was younger

Fantastic experience: I started going to crossfit after a long break from exercise. It's totally different to any other type of exercise I'd done before. It beats any typical exercise class hands down. Despite it being fairly weights based it's not a remotely intimidating gym. There's a really friendly atmosphere and great supportive coaching. I thoroughly recommend it. 3
Fantastic experience: I love training at CrossFit Saddleworth! A very friendly and welcoming place to train with a great community, excellent equipment and high quality coaching who are all really supportive and knowledgeable and will tailor workouts for each individual - making it suitable for all abilities. You are always challenged to push yourself as there is always something new to learn or improve on. I would recommend CrossFit Saddleworth to anyone who wants to improve their fitness and try something new!
Negative experience: What a shambles. Was really looking forward to competing in your CrossFit comp. But to be cancelled with such short notice is really poor. What made it worse was receiving no form of communication. No email, no phone call, just nothing. Luckily one of my team messaged your gym to see what was going on. He then a received a copy and paste apology with the wrong name at the end. So so poor

Fantastic experience: CrossFit Saddleworth is a great place to train, with great varied programming. A very welcoming gym where I have not only become the fittest, strongest and most mobile I have ever been but also had great fun and met some amazing people along the way. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Having already posted a review I though I should update it, I’m a 56 year old man with the only ambition of keeping old mans legs and the aging process at bay. After a year of attending classs 2/3 times a week I had been making small steps in progress pleasing me no end, but over the past few weeks I have made a quantum leap in strength, fitness and technique and the high at the end of each sessions is an unbelievable sense of achievement. Shocking a man of my age Is now starting to compete with people in general half my age, so if you think your best days are behind you let me assure you they are not it’s just the beginning of a new journey, come and join us you won’t regret it.
Fantastic experience: I had been thinking about Crossfit for a while before I actually walked into Saddleworth Crossfit for the first time. For me the Crossfit Lite sessions were the perfect way to get used the workouts and the fact that I could take my little boy and exercise with a fabulous bunch of people was an added bonus. Now I am a fully fledged member and have really seen a massive change in my fitness and strength. The atmosphere at Crossfit Saddleworth is great everyone is so encouraging and supportive. I also love that through the coaching I am learning new skills every session which makes it so much more interesting than a regular gym.
Fantastic experience: Started CrossFit for the first time about 14 months ago and really didn’t know what to expect. From the off the coaches and teammates welcome you into the group regardless of ability. I can’t emphasise enough that PERCEIVED ABILITY DOES NOT HOLD YOU BACK! All workouts can be scaled to your ability with the aim of helping you progress. I feel my strength, conditioning and fitness has come on massively following this path and whereas at the gym I’d walk out without having really ‘worked’. At Lock32, not once have I walked away without feeling like I’ve put some graft in and that is addictive! Great box, great facilities and highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: I love this gym, it is so refreshing to find a gym where the coaches care and aren’t just there because they are paid to be. The other members are friendly and everyone cheers each other on. All the workouts are varied and all movement can be broken down to any level of fitness or strength.

Fantastic experience: Keep meaning to write a review of the brilliant Crossfit Diggle (Lock 32) and tonight's session has made it easy to rate this facility a fantastic five stars! As an aging slow and steady runner I felt I needed to improve my upper body strength but found gyms boring and easy to avoid as I really need a focus and someone to offer instruction and guidence with my technique. Crossfit offers all of that and more. I have done so many things completely out of my comfort zone but all in a really good way. Dan together with Lauren and Emma provide amazing support and encouragement. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and I would highly recommend Crossfit as a way of improving all levels of fitness within the amazing Lock 32 facility.
Fantastic experience: Danny runs a great Box . I’ve been to others on my travels and none quiet have the “ team “ atmosphere it has here in saddleworth . Cracking classes that has a great range of abilities in each one I’ve been too .
Fantastic experience: I was pretty bored of a normal gym routine and had reached a point where I wasn’t seeing any results, I enjoyed the normal gym, but wanted something a little “more". I had heard about Cross fit so gave it a whirl. It is awesome. It doesn't matter what level you are at as you can scale the workouts to suit your ability. The great thing about Crossfit is that you do really push yourself to achieve something. This can be to just to get the results that you like and feel fitter…. Or to the point that you go cross eyed and nearly fall over. Either is fine. I was a bit apprehensive about the Cross fit reputation of high fives etc, but this is not done in a douchey way, it is just simply team mates, who have since starting become actual mates, celebrating, after sharing a common goal, working together to get to it… or sometimes to get through it and reach the end of a workout. The whole set up at Crossfit Saddleworth is great, it’s a friendly set up, focused on training but with a great mix of enjoyment, socialising and sometimes the occasional outdoor workout in beautiful setting of Saddleworth. No matter how unsure about exercise you feel, Dan and the team will make you feel at ease you will learn sooooo many things from a simple warm up stretch, gymnastics movements, through to throwing weights around, in ways that you wouldn’t have thought you could ever do. There’s not many things in life that make you feel better, feel healthier and also make you look better….. But I reckon Crossfit Saddleworth is certainly one. Jump in, go for it. Every bit of you will hurt at some point, but you’ll bloody love it.
Fantastic experience: I started attending Crossfit Saddleworth 7 months ago after having my baby. I wanted to try something different to the usual cardio based exercise and am so glad that I did. The gym is an excellent place to train. The coaching staff are very knowledgable and encouraging, and the sessions are so varied that it never gets repetitive or boring. I have gotten so much stronger and have achieved my main goal of shedding the baby weight. I highly recommend it!
Fantastic experience: I started coming to CrossFit Saddleworth 9 months ago and went to the daytime lite classes where I can take my toddler if I need to. I had many injuries and used to enjoy running until the pain stopped me. I now am virtually injury free and running isn't painful anymore and I feel stronger and fitter than ever. The classes are always different so it's impossible to get bored plus due to the variety of the exercises in each class, there is little repetitive strain injury on the body which I think has helped fix the injuries and make everything stronger. You really feel like you've worked hard afterwards and who doesn't like that?
Fantastic experience: I joined Lock32 about 18months ago and have learnt a lot in my time. My technique and form has improved ten fold and I’ve never had the same work out twice. You won’t get a better setting for a gym either. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I started at Crossfit Saddleworth in September 2017, having flatlined on progress (and became increasingly bored!) at a normal commercial gym. I'd considered starting it for months before, but never thought I would be fit enough (having seen way too many clips of the Fittest on Earth documentary!). I eventually bit the bullet and tried the first session. I found the gym, members and coaches very welcoming and friendly. I quickly realised that it did not matter if you were super fit, or a complete novice, every workout was able to be scaled. That said, it certainly didn't mean it was easy - but there was definitely rapid progress and you'd never feel like you hadn't had a good workout by the end. I now try and attend 4-5 times per week, have seen a huge improvement in my fitness levels and stamina, alongside actually wanting to go and work out! If you're thinking of giving it a go, you won't regret it.
Fantastic experience: A great gym nestled in the lovely saddleworth countryside. The coaches are friendly and supportive as are all the members. As a runner, the great thing about Crossfit is that you combine cardio with strength training and mobility. Couldnt ask for a better maintained gym with a great team mentality. WODs are easily scaled to my ability and classes work around my work and family schedule. Love it - get involved!
Fantastic experience: I started training at the CrossFit Lite sessions when my baby was 6 weeks old. These daytime pay-as-you-go sessions are perfect for parents as you can take the kids with you. My baby was happy to watch me train and hang with the other babies. Now I’ve returned to work after mat leave so I’ve joined the gym as a member and started to attend the full classes. I never ever thought I’d train at a gym but this place is addictive! Really friendly with varied workouts that allow you to learn new skills and get strong. Give it a go!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Crossfit Saddleworth for 9 months now. I was a bit apprehensive about joining at first as my fitness level was no where near the levels I saw on videos I had watched online. That didn’t matter, Dan modified exercises to enable me to grow in strength and fitness. The facilities are fantastic and surround by beautiful outdoor scenery. Perfect for the WOD when the weather warms up. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and there to help with anything. There is a real team/family feel regardless to your fitness level, we all push through together. I couldn’t recommend Crossfit Saddleworth enough.

Fantastic experience: I started at Lock 32 two years ago and it’s completely changed my outlook on training. You don’t have to spend hours in the gym to get the results you want. In one crossfit session you will work harder than you would in a weeks worth of gym sessions. It’s awesome. You will do things you think you never could, this is down to the amazing coaches that guide you through each step. Plus you are training in the beautiful countryside - what’s not to love!

Fantastic experience: Crossfit Saddleworth is a fantastic place to work out and push your body to the limits. Great facilities, great coaches and more importantly great team mates who help you through the pain barrier!! I have only been coming here for 9 months but wish i had started a long time ago because Crossfit is like no other form of exercise i have done before.....its brutal, but great fun!!! The detailed work outs and coaching cater for all levels and abilities and it is very much an inclusive gym. #teammates

Fantastic experience: Being new to CrossFit when I first visited the box I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But at Lock32 I was delighted to find a brand new facility, full range of equipment and expert coaching tailored to any experience or ability level. With his background in personal training and education in sport science, Danny is able to not only get the most of people with his effective coaching techniques, but also offer guidance and advice on all areas of health and fitness, such as diet and nutrition. There are a great set of members at Crossfit Saddleworth, team training and regular social events that create a real community feel. Great work Danny and team.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loving training at Crossfit Saddleworth. Great community spirit, excellent equipment and top quality coaching that is focused on making sure everyone, whatever experience or current fitness level, gets the maximum out of every session. I love the fact I didn't need to be super fit to jump in to the workouts, but with the focus of the coaching and everyone at the club being so supportive, I feel like I'm making progress already after just a couple of weeks. Best of all, there are NO egos, you just get stuck in and have a laugh. I'd recommend Crossfit Saddleworth to anyone interested in improving their fitness and general well being.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic venue for Crossfit. Large unit with plenty of equipment to satisfy everyones needs. Whether that be a session of Crossfit or open gym. Great group of people and coaches that attend. The Crossfit sessions are always hard, but these can be adjusted to suit everyones abilities. I have been there from the start and if I could attend everyday I would. Would highly recommend to friends and family.
Fantastic experience: Great venue with easy access and plenty of parking, great and varied workouts with detailed instruction on how to get the best out of yourself and the sessions. A great team atmosphere with all members willing you to succeed, if you’re thinking about it don’t just do it you will be hooked and love it.
