Negative experience: Gave written cancellation notice on 2nd August for an end date of 31st August, yet the gym insisted on charging me until 30th September on a technicality. Shows zero flexibility, poor customer service, and focus only on short-term money over long-term member satisfaction. Would never return and would not recommend.

Positive experience: I joined here a few weeks ago and it's a nice enough gym. Small space but has what you need pretty much. It's not the most welcoming place to go. The classes are at poor times so dont join based pon de reviews.

Fantastic experience: I used the infrared sauna and it was a great experience. I liked being in there by myself and enjoyed the shower afterwards that is next to the sauna.

While it might be on the smaller side, I'd much rather it be cramped because it's packed with equipment than spacious and lacking. This gym truly packs a punch with its impressive array of kit. You'll find unique machines here that are hard to come across elsewhere in Croydon, such as the glute trainer, plate-loaded shoulder press, and the belt squat machine. These specialised pieces of equipment really set Regen apart from other local gyms. The gym has undergone several changes since changing ownership, with mixed results. However, what stands out is their willingness to listen to member feedback and adapt accordingly. It's refreshing to see a gym that values its members' opinions and acts on them. Having been a member of four different gyms in Croydon, I can confidently say that Regen offers a great balance for both average and advanced gym-goers. Unlike some budget gyms where you're forced to go in the early morning to avoid crowds, Regen maintains a more manageable atmosphere throughout the day. One of the gym's strongest points is its staff. The team is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive experience. A major plus is the sister gym in Streatham, which I've been using recently as I'm in the area a few times a week. This added flexibility is incredibly helpful and enhances the overall value of the membership. If you're looking for a well-equipped gym with a good atmosphere, responsive management, and the bonus of a sister location, give Regen a try. The flexibility to use both the Croydon and Streatham locations is a game-changer for those who move between these areas. Just waiting on the ever-mentioned hack squat machine! Hopefully it arrives soon!

There are also different classes happening throughout the day, adding variety to the routine. The café offers a great selection of protein shakes and snacks, and the sauna is perfect for unwinding. Overall, it’s a fantastic gym that ticks all the boxes.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, been going since January 2024 consistently and have put on a lot of size due to their amazing facilities. It’s an inclusive environment with people and staff always giving advice and trying to better eachother. Imo regen Croydon is the best and most underrated gym in the borough.

Negative experience: Used to enjoy this gym but constant changes and lack of space due to it makes it uncomfortable. Plus they started charging £5 if you don’t show for class even when you call them and give them good reason why you couldn’t attend. It is actually only gym that charges for no show for already over packed class. Studio is too small even for 8 people and yet they try to squeeze 9+ I would recommend for £50 per month to join better and less ripping off money gym. Sad how the gym in croydon changed. Started good and now it gone south. Also watching PT eating soup and porridge while training their clients is also another level of unprofessional behaviour. And another big minus point- no changing rooms only two bathrooms that are not as clean. UPDATE ANSWER: THERE FOR SURE ARE NO CHANGING ROOMS IN REGEN CROYDON

The staff are lovely, the gym equipment is always clean and in the right places. The general gym atmosphere is great & the music playlists are always the best! :)

Negative experience: Avoid this gym at all costs, at first this gym seemed great my partner joined and was very excited at the fresh new look of gymming in Croydon. He went in and signed up for 30 days with an option to cancel at the end if it wasn’t for him. After a couple of days he decided it wasn’t a right fit and tried to cancel on the app (which you can’t) he went in to cancel on day 12, he was told he couldn’t and had to send an email so he did on day 14. He got a response to say he was going to be billed for another month as he didn’t give enough notice. This gym has caused unnecessary stress and anxiety, it has also violated consumer duty and the regulated terms of the contract which say you can cancel within 14 days. The gym is often empty and it seems they scam people out of money to scrape by.

Negative experience: This gym is getting increasingly worse, to the point where I am considering cancelling my membership. When it first became Regen, everything about it was appealing. It was clean and had decent equipment for the price; staff were friendly; it had a cafe; and was never too busy. But a lack of care or effort has seen this decline. The towel service is unreliable, the cafe has shut or rarely runs, and worst of all, the gym is manky and the showers have fallen into disrepair often taking weeks for even small issues to be fixed. There are still good things - Verity is lovely and the staff are friendly - but if the owners stop giving a damn about maintenance, customers will stop coming.

Fantastic experience: 5 star gym in East Croydon. Amazing equipment and never too busy to train/exercise. It never feels cramped and the members are friendly. The trainers and staff are very helpful and easy to talk to and get along with. The changing rooms/toilet/showers are always clean and never struggle to use them. The music is good and not too loud, which does happen in some gyms. If you're looking for a good gym with new equipment, friendly people. This is the place.

Fantastic experience: What a gym! I have been coming here for a while now and every time I’m greeted with friendly faces and people that really care. I was put off from coming into any gym around 5 years ago due to a past experience of what felt intimidating and judgemental but this place is the complete opposite. There are people of all shapes and sizes with one goal- to feel fitter. Couldn’t recommend a better gym for someone just starting out with low confidence or someone that’s not doing it “for the gram”!

I've never had a moment that I felt I had to wait to use any equipment even on their peak hours where the gym still feels less busy than other gyms around. It is also always clean and the bathrooms and showers are fantastic! The studio is the best part for me as I'm a dancer and I love practising my routines all the time after a good workout! TOP QUALITY! Makes me wanna go every day and gives me motivation!

The equipment is all new and has everything you would need even a belt squat and a hip thrust machine. The gym is never too busy so you never have to wait for using machines. The PTs are always happy to help with advice and pointers and the gym community has a great social aspect.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. The price was initially one of my few points that I was a bit worried about but BOY is it worth it. Compared to the nasty rude and overall low vibe of other gyms in the area such as the gym group, this place feels like heaven. Absolutely everything from the equipment to the community to the cleanliness makes this place so amazing to be a member at. I usually don’t leave reviews but others need to know how awesome this place is. Genuinely. It’s a hidden gym tucked away in Croydon. The place has become a sort of second home to me. All staff are genuinely so nice and make you feel welcome in all regards, Sammy especially is such a vibe to talk to and is one of the few people that goes above and beyond for me every time. The staff don’t feel like staff but rather like friends that you go see every day. And the other members are soooo helpful. 10/10 lovely place.

The facilities are great (infrared sauna with Netflix, anyone?), the equipment is fab & makes your workout so comfortable, for example, the hip trust machine (it gives you and your gluteus that wow effect...you gotta try it!). Also, I like the variety of classes, such as Pilates, HITT, yoga, core blast, mobility and many more. All of the above makes Regen Croydon so welcoming for everyone from beginners/intermediate to advanced and elite athletes.

Fantastic experience: Regen gym in is the best gym I’ve ever been to in Croydon, because they have all kinds of different gym equipment and machines to choose from. The staff are very friendly, very helpful and always honouring anyone who walks into the gym. They have excellent shower rooms where you can lock yourself in and with their sauna. You can make it you very own private sauna for 1 hour as long as you book on their app which is amazing and you can control the temperature all you like and it was the best sauna I’ve ever used and it comes with a shower room too. On their app, you can also book yoga and fitness class all you like and their coaches are brilliant to train with as they make sure you’re in good form. Everyone I would highly recommend that you start you memberships with Regen gym as it’s £45 a month.

If you’re like me and work remotely then the in-house cafe near the front, provides the perfect spot for you to unwind, catch up on work and answer your Teams meetings… Did I mention there’s free WiFi, complimentary towels and much more!
