Ironworks Gym

Fantastic experience: Great hardcore gym with a good selection of machines and freeweights. Revisted the gym for a couple of workouts whilst staying at my sisters as I wanted to show my son what a 'proper' gym was like. Still the best gym in Wisbech, still hardcore with a great selection of equipment and plenty of free weights........and there was not a mobile phone in sight!

Fantastic experience: Joined Ironworks a few weeks back and got to say what a fantastic gym. My wife was nervous about leaving her old gym but the very welcoming staff and members from the first day of training there put her at ease straight away. Good assortment of quality equipment ideal for all types of training styles and workout routines. Highly recommend this gym from all levels beginners or serious bodybuilders.

Fantastic experience: Started going to Iron works about 3 years ago, first gym I'd been in for years. Very welcoming staff, always happy to give you a spot. Great regular members who also offer support. Recently got some new equipment and machines. Great atmosphere, perfect for new starters and pro's.

Fantastic experience: I might not be the most consistent gym goer but whenever I go to Ironworks I always get a warm welcome from Martin and the team which means a lot especially if you feel embarrassed for not being there in ages. It simply feels like home when I go there, I love that there is no judgement, you „get the work done” as best as you can and you get the support if needed. Martin is so helpful and a great mentor to everyone. Music is great, the atmosphere is awesome, constantly new equipment. I’ve tried all the gyms in the area and I simply can’t recommend Ironworks enough.

Fantastic experience: I went to Ironworks a couple of times before I got my new job in Cambridge, the atmosphere was amazing and I was about to start PT sessions but my job is so demanding and takes most of my time. A lot of the time I get home when the gym is already closed or I'm away during their whole opening hours and on my day off I have a world of things to do so I've had to start working out at home. I'm hoping to get my routine figured out so I can spend a couple hours on my day off as I do miss the gym although I only went a couple times. I considered starting a 24hr gym in Cambridge after work but the atmosphere at other gyms just isn't there. As a larger girl I didn't feel as welcome anywhere but ironworks. Wish I had more free hours in the day during opening times!

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful place to work out, everybody is helpful & kind, staff and members alike. I was nervous starting here but I have found it such a lovely place to work out. The new opening hours are FANTASTIC, it means I can get a workout in before work (and I don't have to rely on the disappointing corporate gym in town anymore ) If you're thinking about trying Ironworks out and you're feeling anxious, please try it. Best decision I've made this year!

Reasons why I’d recommend Ironworks over a commercial gym: • Far better kit (Nautilus, Hammer Strength, Forza, Technogym, Life Fitness, Panatta and Primal Strength). The gym is full of equipment that you won’t find in your standard places, to name a few: Hack Squat, Lat Pull Over, Aqua Bag, Single Leg Extension, Very Heavy Dumbbells, Atlas Stones, Tyres and Sunbeds. • More than just a PIN number, great hard working environment where everyone is welcome. Member success stories are shown off on the walls and the gym also holds its own competitions. • Not your standard House/ Pop music, great variety and fairly sure you can make requests. • Shutters open up at the side and rear of gym to make the gym open when it’s hot. • Endless options for supplements and equipment at the front desk, even freshly made protein sakes for after a session. • Ironworks Gym clothing available to train in.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Caters for bodybuilding, powerlifting and strongman. Great atmosphere. Have competed at Ironworks Strongest Man held at this gym last March. Everything was organised and was a good day overall. Anyone based in the Cambridgeshire area should definitely check this out.

Real focus on strength equipment of every kind, Martin the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and so far the rest of the members have seemed welcoming. Very reasonable pricing helps too!
