Mike Wong is a personal trainer (PT) based from his home gym in Weston-super-Mare.

Many of my clients come to me seeking greater comfort and confidence in their appearance, especially when wearing swimwear. My approach combines improved nutrition with a personalised, structured training program, leading to noticeable changes in both body and mind within just weeks.
The gym spans 900 square feet and is exclusively dedicated to one client at a time (or pairs). It features air conditioning, central heating, a wide range of specialised equipment (including back-friendly options), and a spacious outdoor garden.
I prioritise building trust and camaraderie with my clients, ensuring that our sessions are both enjoyable and effective. I understand the importance of hard work in achieving results!

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Mike for many years now. His style of coaching is great. His knowledge is excellent. He is always pushing himself to learn new techniques and he incorporates these in to my programmes as we change. Its great to get 1 to 1 training with no wait for any equipment really maximising the hour session.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my husband decided it was time to get healthy and fit and really struggled with motivation, we were both fairly clueless when it came to exercise and diet. We joined Mike’s online programme, and it was honestly the best decision we ever made! Mike is so dedicated to his profession and is so helpful and knowledgeable that we immediately felt like we could achieve anything! He is so supportive and motivational. He will plan workouts and nutritional advice according to your needs and regularly checks in on you and can adapt anything to make it work. We have really made life changes and have learnt so much. In 2 months we lost a combined weight of 3 stone! We are carrying on the lessons learnt and as Mike says ‘the sky is the limit’ you can achieve whatever you want to achieve, whether weight loss or general fitness. I really enjoyed the workouts and the videos Mike creates are really easy to follow! If you want to make changes then Mike is the man!
Fantastic experience: At the start of 2022 I had decided that it was time to take the plunge and and really focus on my fitness goals. In 2021 I took up running regularly which was great in terms of weight loss however I still wasn’t happy when looking in the mirror. It was obvious that I needed some guidance. Through a mutual friend I discovered Mike and swiftly got in touch with him. We had a video chat in which we discussed what I wanted/needed and Mike then provided me with a personal plan. The workouts are made very clear through the apps that are used with Mike personally demonstrating how to do each exercise. Mike also advised me on how many calories I can have each day and gives great advice on what foods to eat and most importantly avoid. After a few months of being with Mike - I had lost approximately 22lbs and at the same time gained a noticeable amount of muscle. I have never felt better in myself mentally and physically and I would never go back to the old ways. Mike has taught me that with consistency and discipline anything can be achieved no matter how big,small or old you are. In my opinion Mike’s knowledge and passion for helping people is unmatched and I could not recommend him enough to anyone.
Fantastic experience: When Mike said he had a slot for me at 7am I did think I won’t keep this up! I’m retired and don’t need to be anywhere at 7am and yet nearly 6 months in and I haven’t missed a session (unless I’ve been away). Mike’s commitment to each person he trains and his attention to detail on your training programme devised just for you makes it rewarding both in achievement each session and the difference to your body and overall fitness.

Fantastic experience: Mike, is a great guy and helped me a lot. He developed a perfect plan for me, which I still actively use. He’s a really genuine guy, down to earth and always puts his clients at the forefront of his agenda. He’s also always on hand to assist any matters, whether it’s a spur of motivation needed or guidance on something, he always provides support. The facilities are also amazing, in which it being a private gym really does help you push boundaries and try new things to gain confidence. Fantastic experience: I really needed some help as I was worried about my health and weight getting out of control.I seen Mike on Instagram and was drawn to his no nonsense approach and knowledge of his job. I immediately liked him when we spoke online,he's very easy to talk to and none judgemental. Online with Mike worked for me as I'm a Mum of 3 and don't have a huge amount of time for myself. Mike helped me lose 25 pounds in 10 weeks! something that I've never done before.I trusted him and spoke to him openly and knew he would always get back to me if I needed him. He's changed my mindset completely knowing that I am capable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is struggling. Thanks Mike!
Fantastic experience: A session with mike fits in perfectly with a busy life. Once a session is booked your committed to going, you arrive and don’t have to do any thinking for yourself you can switch of and with mikes encouragement, train hard. With out waiting for equipment to be free!! I found it was way to easy using the excuse of being to busy before .
Fantastic experience: Started training with Mike to improve my running. He is great at supporting my training objectives. He is very outcome focused and I have been able to see continual improvement each week. Mikes sessions are relaxed, fun and motivating , I'm so glad I started.
Fantastic experience: Training with Mike to strengthen my legs and core for improved distance running. Much better than going to a big commercial gym. Mike pushes you without you realising it!! One of the things I hate about commercial gyms is you're on your own so you can really waste time if you're not focused. Mike keeps you focused so the hour with him is never wasted.

Fantastic experience: As Mike was building the gym, posting his progress photo's of where he was going with it, and the passion he has for what he does, it was truly inspiring and made me really excited to train with him as soon as possible. I have really enjoyed both phases of training I have done with Mike, and have seen tangible results and have made long term changes to the way I exercise and my lifestyle in general. He is a really supportive knowledgeable PT and the gym itself is amazing, both in appearance and the quality of the equipment there. Mike shows a genuine interest in your progress and can make a real difference, even if you have been training a while and seeing limited results (like me!)
Fantastic experience: I’ve just finished my 10th session with Mike and have loved it! I’ve never really enjoyed the gym mostly because I never felt confident enough in knowing what I was doing was right despite having personal training before, but Mike has completely changed this for me. He takes time to go through each exercise, what the benefits are and makes sure your form is spot on every time; he tells you when you’re doing good and if there are things you need to change for the next set! I’ve learnt a hell of a lot so thank you! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a PT (and his gym is amazing!!)
Fantastic experience: I started training with Mike when I was in the worst shape of my life. I've always been an active person playing many different types of sports. But as you get older your body doesn't tend to stay the same shape as it was. I was starting to put on weight and lose any muscle I had built up over time. I came to Mike with my goals which was to build muscle and to try and get to a stage where I would be happy to look in the mirror. Mike listened and took in everything that I had asked and set me up with a plan to acheive my goals. After one session with Mike he got me straight away. He knew that I needed pushing , knew I wanted learn and knew how to get the best out of me. I trained with Mike 3 days a week for 3 months and it was the best decision ive made. My body shape has changed dramatically and I'm feeling in the best shape of my life. Not only that he has given me the confidence to go and train on my own in a gym where there are 'those people ' who look like they know everything. For anyone in two minds about whether or not to get some personal training with Mike there's only one answer ......YES!!!! Get yourself booked in with him and his fantastic gym , you won't look back and you won't regret it !!!
