No matter the adventure, challenge or goal, fully fit or injured, it will always bring you back to the FARM; to find direction, rebuild, and prepare for the next challenge ahead. The FARM offers a truly unique training experience led by an experienced team of industry professionals.

Functional Fitness is something that is rooted within all of us, going back to our earliest ancestors. We were designed with the ability to walk, run, jump, lift, push, pull, bend, twist, turn, climb and lunge. This is how we have been able to evolve over the last millennia, adapting to our environment and what we needed to do to survive

Whether a seasoned competitor or someone who trains and competes for fun, we've worked with a wide variety of athletes, designing and implementing programs proven to deliver the results their hard work and effort deserved.

The way in which you manage your training and recovery time is key. Our tailor made programs are designed to manage both, targeting weaknesses, developing strengths, whilst prioritising adequate recovery methods. This is what will ensure you are able to compete to the best of your ability when needed.     

We will all, at some point in our lifetime, pick up an injury or be limited in movement due to postural imbalances, obtained through exercise, work or simply just carrying out everyday activities.

Accidents happen and some will leave us struggling to move, in great pain and discomfort, with no clue how to best move forwards. Even when recovered you may still find movement is inhibited.

Our training methodologies are built upon a foundation deeply rooted within rehabilitation and therapy, with a key focus on correcting movement disorders through building stronger, well rounded movement that mimics that of everyday life. Together through a well designed and correctly implemented rehabilitation program we can work towards achieving pain free movement.

Movement is an ability we are blessed with and a skill we are continually learning. It is enhanced or limited by good/poor Strength, Power, Balance, Co-ordination, Range of Motion and Mobility. Your training gives you the opportunity to learn how to execute movement and control it, strengthening it and making it more powerful.

By improving the overall function of your body, boosting its energy levels through sound nutritional and recovery practices, and developing its physical/ mental capabilities, it'll ensure you maximise your body's potential and live a stronger, more fulfilled life.

Fantastic experience: The team at FARM have been amazingly supportive and helpful, both when I was recovering from an injury and also from an operation. They are always willing to advise and give encouragement. There is a lovely atmosphere in the gym.

Fantastic experience: I go here to exercise with my kids. I was looking for somewhere for family fitness. I wanted my kids to get in a routine of exercise but didn't want to just taxi them around without getting my exercise in too. We need to look after ourselves too! FARM is brilliant!! My kids are learning how to use all the equipment (which is all really good) and learn to look after themselves, plus I get reminders and new learning too. We all have fun as a family and feel great afterwards. It's so good to be mixing with other people who are doing the same thing. And it's indoor/outdoor mix which I absoultely love because I don't like being trapped inside and love moving in the fresh air surrounding by our beautiful Cornwall. If you want somewhere to get moving and get stronger with your kids with such a great vibe, support and expert help, this is it. 6 stars.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely outstanding experience. I tore my calf muscle on a backpacking trip and required personal training, to regain full functionality in my lower leg. I signed up with Keith Jacka, choosing him based on his experience with injured athletes. Keith got me back on my feet, building my confidence, helping me understand how the injury occurred, and giving me a training protocol to strengthen my muscles and improve my fitness, to avoid a repeat injury in the future. I also did several high intensity core sessions with Tanya. I can't recommend The Farm's facility and it's staff highly enough, not only for those based in the area, but its well set up if your travelling down for the holidays and want to do drop in sessions. Five star!

Fantastic experience: Treated myself to the postpartum package as a treat to mark 6 months after giving birth. Tanya has been great and really weaned me in gently and pushed me more as our sessions got more intense. Really enjoy going to the gym at the weekends, its a great help for my physical and mental wellbeing.

Fantastic experience: The FARM is very inclusive no matter what your fitness ability. The setting is a beautiful rural location just outside of Helston with a vast array of equipment. Keith, Tanya and the team are very knowledgeable, welcoming and patient as I often need things explaining to me a few times! I have been attending the group training sessions for a few months now and absolutely love it, sessions are always different and you can work at your own pace and ability without any pressure which is important for me. Fantastic experience: In January 2019, I was involved in a head-on collision which left me with multiple injuries. I fractured the talus bone in both of my ankles, as well and fracturing my thumb. The fractures to my ankles were a result of me pushing down hard on the brake and clutch at the point of impact. I was air-lifted to Treliske Hospital where I underwent open reduction and internal fixation surgery on my right ankle. I was completely bedridden and was told not to put any weight on my right ankle for 6-8 weeks. My rehab was a slow process to begin with. There were a number of daily exercises which I undertook to increase the range of movement in both ankles and slowly but surely was able to walk a few steps. My rehab was further complicated due to that fact that I suffer from cerebral palsy (CP). I have tried not to let CP effect my life and have worked hard in the past to overcome my physical disabilities. Towards the end of May 2019 I was referred to Keith by the Neurological Physiotherapy Practice in Helston. I wasn’t too sure what to expect at first and was a bit nervous about overdoing it physically and causing further damage to my ankles. Keith was amazing from the word go. One of the first things he did was give me the confidence to put a considerable amount of weight through my ankles. We then progressed from there. Keith is amazing at explaining his ideas and implementing them to get the desired results. With me, we put a great deal of focus on increasing the extension of my hips. Due to my CP and the way a walk, I was putting a lot of unnecessary pressure through my ankles. Keith and I worked on a variety of movements to create further hip extension to enable me to walk in a more upright manner. Each week we worked together to improve the strength of my legs and my core until I was achieving things I would never have dreamed of. Keith’s personal training knowledge is second to none and this was really put to the test with my CP. I often found certain movements very tricky to undertake due to poor balance or instability of joints. Keith was always able to come up with a workaround, slightly changing the movement or exercise in order to achieve the desired outcome. The progress we made was staggering. Not only did I really enjoy my training but I was feeling physically fit and the pain in my ankles was much reduced. In January 2020, I went to meet the surgeon who undertook the work on my ankle to see how he thought I was progressing. He was amazed at the extent on my recovery and attributed a lot of it to the work Keith and I had put in. Almost 2 years on from the accident I have stopped my 1 to 1 sessions with Keith. However, Keith has given me the confidence and ability to attend the Fitness Wild group sessions. These sessions are essential to maintaining my physical fitness and strength of my ankles. I can not recommend Keith enough. If you are suffering from an injury and are unsure whether training at the F.A.R.M is the right choice for you, then I urge you to start training there you will not be disappointed at the results.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending here for over two years now and am amazed to say that I actually enjoy working out now and the benefits of weightlifting - as a 50 year old woman - cannot be overestimated. Fantastic experience: I asked Keith to help me after having an ACL reconstruction and meniscus tear operation. When I first arrived at the farm 4 months post operation my knee felt weak and unable to do what I would normally. Keith set me exercises slowly building up the weight and reps and after only a couple of months I felt so much stronger and more confident. Now, 18 months post operation I am back playing football and rowing regularly without any pain, discomfort and stronger than before.

Fantastic experience: Always had a great experience from 1st visit back in 2019, have been doing weekly sessions with our Gig Club and sessions are varied and designed so we’re always progressing, everyone is looked after whatever level you are starting from, and Keith provides great instruction and encouragement. Fantastic experience: Keith is excellent at figuring out and explaining simply why/how the body recovers after injury. He then addresses the issues to make sure all muscles are used correctly. I had recurring nerve pain in one leg and thought I’d have it for life after trying numerous other forms of treatment. Fantastic experience: Not your average gym - fantastic semi-outdoor space, can be bracing in cold weather but that's a plus! Newly re-located into a bigger barn with new equipment. Really knowledgeable (and thoroughly nice) instructors offering encouragement rather than badgering. I have been working with the lovely Tanya on a one to one basis for 18 months and thanks to her I have come such a long way in improving my overall strength and in particular what was an ailing back. Even now I surprise myself in achieving new goals. Never overcrowded and I like the one-to-one training but I may just join one of the group workouts as well this year. Very reasonably priced with an option to buy a local veg box too!

Fantastic experience: I decided at the start of this year to sort my life out and get fit and eat healthier. I saw The Farm when I googled fitness and was impressed by the website and decided to have a chat with Keith. Long and short of it is that I booked in for some PT sessions which included nutritional advice. The sessions were great and went at a pace that stretched me but that wasn’t too scary. It taught me the basics and since then I have graduated to the group sessions and love it. The Farm feels more like a community of encouraging and likeminded people. It is really relaxed and super friendly. I have lost weight and dropped a dress size and my eating has been transformed- give it a go - you’ll love being part of the community.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend The Farm. Keith and Tanya are fantastic at what they do and their knowledge has been impressive and inspiring. I have been attending The Farm for over 5 years now. I started attending when I was recommended by a sports therapist as I was having issues when running. I started with Keith doing some personal training sessions which left me feeling confident enough to do the classes. A short time after I started, I had to have key hole surgery on my left hip. I was lucky enough to be able to train at The Farm till the day of the surgery and was back doing PT’s with Keith to rehab my hip a month later. I am now back running having just completed my first every half marathon this summer as well as doing a 6k open water swim a month later. I feel stronger than I ever have before and absolutely love my sessions up at the farm.

Fantastic experience: I’m in my sixth year now and cannot recommend the FARM highly enough. Keith and Tanya’s knowledge is exceptional and the location is fantastic! Before I joined I had never even thought about lifting weights so had no confidence and zero knowledge. Keith was fantastic and ensured that I always knew the correct form and would take the time to fully explain every move. After a few sessions I decided to invest in some 1-2-1 sessions to put the fundamentals in place and enable me to target undeveloped and weaker areas for a strong and functional frame. I did this alongside attending the group sessions. Now my strength training is my main priority as the benefits far out way ‘just running’. Whether it’s PT, group sessions or re-hab you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I've really enjoyed both one to one sessions and group classes with Keith and Tanya. The one to one sessions helped me build confidence and understanding given my lack of previous gym experience. Having this grounding allows me to get more out of the group classes that I regularly attend. At the group classes, they have built a friendly and collegiate atmosphere, in a great rural setting which feels unique and enjoyable. Each week is different yet I feel I can develop and progress over time. I would highly recommend the FARM for anyone looking to build their fitness and strength with like minded, friendly people and expert guidance.

Fantastic experience: As a complete beginner I found the team at Farm Performance really welcoming from day one. Their balanced approach to fitness (mobility,strength & conditioning) in the group classes has been really beneficial for me and there’s a great team spirit with it With the new gym open the equipment on offer is brilliant and the space is purpose built for the job. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend The Farm enough! Keith and Tanya are both very knowledgeable, helpful and amazing at confidence boosting. Since I started training here I’m feeling fitter, stronger and healthier than I have been in years! Whether it’s a PT session or group they keep it new and tailored to your needs! You can never ask enough questions and always get an excellent answer, I had no confidence when I started and even now nothing is too much trouble for them and I’m learning new things everyday! Fantastic experience: I have just finished a block of PT sessions with Keith and it has been brilliant. I haven't used a gym or any equipment other than dumbells and a kettle bell before with follow along home workouts. I was pretty nervous about going into a gym- intimidating places I thought.. but The FARM is great - with the barn sides open it is the best of both worlds- inside outside and lots of outside space to pull the rower out and watch the sun set or take the weights outdoors. Keith's patient, knowledgable, friendly manner has helped me learn so much- proper technique for moves I thought I knew, new moves, using the machines for the first time, sharing lots of information about body mechanics and how it all works which I love and the knee pain that I have had when driving for months has pretty much gone which is awesome. I have since attended several classes and they are also great with either Keith or Tanya always ready to support/ advise/ tweak technique as needed. I am super glad that I took the plunge and would recommend it highly.

Fantastic experience: I started with some PT with Tanya in the middle of last winter as I wasn't feeling particularly confident and I've always felt intimidated by gym equipment and what to do with it. Tanya was really gentle with me and put me at ease from our first session. She also specialises in women's health which was also useful for me. After finishing the PT, I have continued with the group classes including a beginners block of classes with Keith. The classes have been excellent, I am continually learning and understanding more about technique while always being encouraged to work at my own pace. I've also met some lovely fellow gym-goers, it's a really friendly community. Plus, even on the cold and wet days, you can't beat the fresh air and the views! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to get back into fitness after a long spell on the sidelines due to an injured. Keith has been great at giving me the confidence to get back to it and I'm really enjoying being back in the gym. The class that I've been attending on a Wednesday evening has also been great. Being giving the exercises and the guidance from Keith on how to properly perform them has been ideal, as I've always struggled when being left to my own devices. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This is an honest review of my experience at the Farm. My reasonings for even looking for a personal trainer was from a wake up call from the doctors. I had zero interest in gyms or any exercise really apart from cycling every now and again but could really start to feel my age with constant lower back pain and being constantly exhausted. The last thing I ever wanted to do after work was more work for no pay. One of my biggest fears was a mirrored gym with perfect bodies floating around and an instructor barking commands which is why I did my research and chose this place. I booked my 1st slot online and paid in advance for an 8 session package as I knew this would be the only way I would go to it without making excuses to myself. The session was perfect, started very slow with basic introductions to the machines and a mild workout. I was sore the next day but not to the point that I was hating life and struggled to work. The couple of sessions that followed were also about getting everything right with precision and attention to detail. Keith also did a bit of physio on one of the sessions for a niggling piriformis problem which made a huge difference and showed me how to fix it myself which was great. As the weeks went on the workouts and weights increased and I could start to see a change. Not once did I feel out of place or that I was being watched or judged by anyone. The people that I met there are also of the same attitude and it’s just a nice pleasant chilled atmosphere to be in. I’ve never had a personal trainer before but the setup worked quite well. I noticed a slight overlap between clients but this is well managed and doesn’t effect or reduce your session, in fact I think it helps as having someone next to you for the whole hour whist your doing basic warm up exercises would be a bit odd. Even at the end of the hour there is no rush to leave and you could be left with a set of instructions to do more if you like. Never felt like I was being pushed out the door or slotted in. One of the other reasons for choosing this place was because of the varied exercises and being partly outdoors. Even on my last session I used new equipment and the whole program was varied so you never get bored. To sum up the Farm was a 1st class setup run by a sound team with your interest at heart. Fantastic experience: I can’t speak more highly of Keith and Tanya and the superb set up they offer. Tanya’s expertise was an integral part of my postnatal return to working physically. Her experienced and thorough approach and nuanced understanding of working with the body and mind (and juggling all the other aspects of life) at that vulnerable time was game changing. Having the open air and indoor set up works great. A friendly atmosphere, a welcome alternative to the typical gym set up, refreshingly different. So glad I discovered this team.

Fantastic experience: These guys are fantastic at what they do, and they do much more than provide a platform for excellent, holistic physical training. The service they offer is tailored to you with care embedded in everything they do. I have past experience with plenty of trainers - Keith and Tanya smash them all out of the park! The fundamental approach toward all levels of training has got me moving my body in a much better way. It is life-changing. We wouldn't want to train anywhere else. The new Farm HQ training space is close to complete - it is going to transform things further, which is very exciting. Farm is also a community. With group events arranged, training-followed-by-brunch meets, running trips... This year we were living in our van testing out areas of Cornwall that we may wish to make a more permanent move to. We are in the process of purchasing a property in Helston, I can honestly say that becoming a part of the Farm community has played it's part in that move. Thanks guys, Lew & Siri x

Fantastic experience: Keith and the team at Farm are amazing. The knowledge and expertise passed on in helping me recover from injury and build aspects of my strength and fitness has helped me tremendously. The ethos, the atmosphere and the cafe and thought given are beyond what you get elsewhere. I can’t recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Keith at FARM was recommended by my physio after a major accident. Keith has improved my health, strength and confidence with his knowledge, planning and enthusiasm. Its great to recover outside in such a friendly atmosphere too.

Fantastic experience: Training at The Farm is refreshingly different. Very well equipped with very knowledgeable and supportive trainers. All of the classes and sessions are outdoors which is what makes this unique! Beautiful countryside, fresh air and a very welcoming bunch of clients many of whom have gone for years. I’ve been training for two specific events and Keith and Tanya have taken me to another level. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Great for drop in fun if you are down on holiday.

Fantastic experience: Moved down to the area last year and started going to FARM pretty much straight away. Keith and Tanya so friendly and met a really great bunch there. Always varied workouts and feel fitter than ever - ran my first marathon with no issues! Would definitely recommend. Great in the summer working outside and equally in the battering rain in the winter!!

Fantastic experience: Went to Keith with a real frustrating injury (gilmores groin) he put me at ease and put me on a physio plan and before I knew it I was back playing football stronger than I was before! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Keith has been instrumental in getting me back into exercising and lifting weights after suffering with back pain for many years! Thanks to his sound knowledge of back rehabilitation and strength training, I have gained bucket loads of confidence, mobility and strength. I have been to several NHS and private physios in the past who are all about getting you in, relieving some pain and getting you out of the door without a long-term solution to your problems. Keiths approach on the otherhand is to pass on all of the knowledge he has about your injuries and how to build in a long term training solution - he regularly uses a whiteboard to draw out and explain the theory behind the exercises and plans! Starting small and simple, Keith has really got me thinking about and practising the correct lifting and moving techniques. I now have a clear idea of how to move forwards without injuring myself again! The sessions are extremely varied, fun and focussed - Keith gives you his full attention and has regularly gone above and beyond my expectations!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been part of the Fitness Wild family for about 2.5years. I do the early morning workshops at Helston Rugby club twice a week and one evening at the farm. I’ve also been a part of the healthy eating programmes Keith and Tanya have run. I can honestly say that the training and support are fantastic. I can see real results, the sessions are well planned and explained. All fitness and dietary questions are answered and there’s fantastic group support in all the sessions. Everyone helps each other. I can’t recommend Fitness Wild enough. What ever stage your at, beginner to advanced you’ll be catered for and welcomed. Come and join us (we also have great socials too!)
