Fantastic experience: I have been doing BJJ since 2020 and when I moved to the UK in 2022 I came across Neon Martial Arts and have not looked back. Trevor, Ahileas and the team are highly knowledgeable in all fields or wrestling, BJJ and Judo making them a well-rounded BJJ gym for anyone who is either looking to get into the sport or who has progressed into the higher rankings. They are now venturing into the competition side and with a few successful events under their belt, they are growing from strength to strength. Highly recommended if you are looking to mesh with a great bunch of individuals whilst receiving unparalleled jits experience.

Fantastic experience: Been training at neon for a while now and honestly very happy I changed to this gym, trevor and the rest of the coaches are very knowledgeable and it has a very friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Having trained with Trevor in previous years prior to Neon, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and after 6 weeks of returning to BJJ, I can say that the Neon team do a fantastic job. I'm yet to try any other classes they offer but I do plan on it soon. Friendly and inviting atmosphere, and great price. I'm really enjoying the beginner BJJ classes as I can be a slow learner so learning the fundamentals are essential for me. Highly recommend giving it a go!

Fantastic experience: I've been training at neon about a year now and feel like I am only scratching the surface of Jiu Jitsu. The coaches have an amazing depth of knowledge and share multiple accolades including European and World Championships but are also so friendly and happy to give advice to all levels. On top of everything else, and for anyone trying to drop some weight in the new year, I've lost a stone while training at neon by following some of the coaches advice and staying consistent with training.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area and spent quite some time looking for a good Jiu Jitsu gym after training for about 5 years elsewhere. It's always daunting to find and join a new gym. Trevor, the team and people are extremely friendly, accommodating and the level is really good. So happy to have found a new home! Hugely recommended if you are looking to start or resume your martial arts journey.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing 3-day Jiu-jitsu session at Neon Martial Arts. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the instructors were excellent! I had fantastic sparring/rolls with everyone, and I learned a lot from them. I highly recommend this academy if you're in the Southampton area or passing by this city.

Fantastic experience: In my 50's I wanted to find somewhere to learn something new. I've now been learning to wrestle since September. The coaches are great and informative. The support from them and the others joining the class has been great. I have been carrying extra weight for a while, which we all seem to do in our 50's, however having looked at my diet and coming to the classes, I have lost 7kg in 6 weeks. I feel and look better, have more energy and cannot thank the team for their patience and support. If you are thinking about starting any martial art, these are the team to join. Great facility, loads of free parking I travel 15 miles to come here and cannot wait each week to get on the mats.

Fantastic experience: The instructors are highly experienced, the classes are well structured and the atmosphere is great. Everyone is really friendly and it's a great place to meet new people. The facilities are top notch and the equipment is always clean and in good condition. I've been going for a few months now and I can definitely see an improvement in my overall fitness and technique. Fantastic experience: My son is nearly 12. He has been attending kids brazilian ju-jits class since the start of these semester. He is gaining the confidence and enjoye his time at the class but also learning useful skills which will benefit him in normal life. The class is run in professional manner by proper coach and kids are having fun too.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff who are focussed on children having a good time as well as learning. Trevor B. is also helping our son with his silver Duke of Edinburgh sporting activity by providing a framework and assessment. The flexible membership arrangement is very helpful when it's not possible for attendance every week. Great group of people.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to the BJJ Monday classes for a month now. I've felt really welcome and learned a lot so far. Great group of guys, Trev the teacher is very knowledgeable and a nice bloke. The dojo facilities are also really good too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get involved in martial arts!

Fantastic experience: I joined Neon martial arts with 0 background in martial arts or any physical contact sports. I had an interest in wanting to be more comfortable in myself and abilities to feel safer and confident in physical and/or verbal aggressive situations, such as nights out. I decided to pull the trigger and join Neon after some research into the gyms in the local area and found this to be the best option. Things that stood out to me were the beginners course that integrated the usage of the weights & cardio gym as well as the sauna, in addition to the ability to see the “normal” classes which you go into if you decide to carry on after the beginners course. Another was the vast history/background of all the coaches ranging from winning multiple competitions overseas and locally as well as their years of knowledge which is so clearly explained to you, even the finer details which I believe would be overseen at other places. Some are even retired professional fighters who had a very successful career! I’ve been here for a year now, and I love it. I train about 4 days a week, with various martial arts such as K1 kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Olympic wrestling being my personal preferred sports to train. The team, and especially the people here are truly incredible, it’s such a huge family/great community here and we often have meet-ups outside of training for social gatherings, BBQ’s, meet-ups, watching UFC, the list is endless. I owe a lot to the guys at Neon as it has helped me be more confident within myself and has helped me make more friends. Maybe one day we will see you come and train with us, it will not be regretted! Cannot recommend these guys enough and how professional & supportive they are!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this gym whether you are a skilled bjj athlete, a beginner, or parent looking for a skills for life for your little one. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym it taught by a coach (Trevor Birmingham) who brings unique, tried, tested and medaled, knowledge from international competitions. He is the real thing. The gym has a friendly group of martial artists across many skill levels, that will make you feel welcome. There is also a amazing wrestling class for kids (starting from 4 yrs!), taught by Ahilleas, a champion with a lifetime of wrestling, that my son loves and looks forward too.

Fantastic experience: An amazing professional place to learn with globally respected instructors who want to help you be the best you can be. Everyone is friendly and helpful and all the classes push you to be better in your way. My only regret is that I did not start sooner!
