Motion CrossFit^® GU1 - Guildford

Fantastic experience: Excellent crossfit gym. Every class has two coaches, giving lots of high quality coaching to the class participants. I've only been here a week and the classes are varied, challenging and a great buzz.

Fantastic experience: Very grateful to Motion for helping me to rebuild my strength and confidence after having a baby. The effort put into the coaching and programming is top class. Facilities are excellent and everyone is super friendly so despite feeling daunted at first, I really enjoy going. I've had more coaching input here than anywhere else I've trained and I particularly appreciate their patience as someone who isn't always confident with the movements. There's always scaled versions that mean anyone and everyone can feel the benefit. Feeling stronger and healthier as I head into my 40s. Hard recommend!

Fantastic experience: The best CrossFit gym in Surrey if not the UK, great coaching and excellent programming mixed with quality equipment and lots of space. I cannot recommend it enough for newbies or experienced CrossFitters. Definitely give this box a try if you are thinking of giving CrossFit a go!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at Motion for less than a year but i’ve been doing crossfit for over 10 years and I can honestly say they have some of the best programming and coaching i’ve experienced over the years. It was also lovely to see the respect they encourage everyone to have for fellow members, the equipment and overall gym space. They always start and end on time, and demonstrate superior knowledge when it comes to warming up for specific movements and strategic thinking when approaching a workout. Loved my time there and will return for the odd drop in when we’re in the area

Coaches are also great at adapting workouts appropriately to injuries. Everyone is so friendly and approachable I couldn’t recommend them enough. I’ve made new friends and couldn’t be happier. Keep doing what you’re doing Motion Team!

Fantastic experience: I started a few months back now and I love it. The coaches are super knowledgeable and the other members are all super friendly and supportive. You can tell they care about the culture here and it shows. People are lovely to talk to, good laugh, and it's a big reason I enjoy going. The workouts are tough, and I've a ways to go to condition myself to them, but the coaches do a great job of scaling workouts to your ability, whilst pushing you to improve. I tried CrossFit at another gym a few years ago and didn't really gel with the community there. So I honestly went into Motion feeling sceptical, but I ended up feeling comfortable super quick, and it's really improved my health. I'm excited to see where I'm at a year from now. If you're interested in Crossfit, or on the fence about it like I was, I really encourage you to give this gym a try. If you're an experienced Crossfitter, hats off to you, you'll love it here too.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise GU1 Motion enough. I joined when they opened and have now been with them a year and it is the best decision I could have made. The programming and coaching is just exceptional. The coaches are attentive and welcoming every single time I step into the gym. Another big aspect is the amazing community. I have made lifelong friendships and really encourage everyone considering it to join. From total beginner to advance there is a space for you here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve trained at a few gyms in the area, and nothing beats Motion. The facilities are amazing, clean and well maintained, with plenty of space. The coaching is next level, with a highly skilled team, who make sure they dedicate team to all members for their improvement. Excellent programming too, with clear structures of cycles, focussing on strength, skills and technical lifts. Lastly, it’s the community that really make an impact too. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and there’s usually lots of extra activities to get involved with. For anyone looking to start CrossFit or just looking for a new gym, I couldn’t recommend it more!

Fantastic experience: The best gym ever! So big, new, with great equipment and facilities. I am new to crossfit, but it has never been an issue as coaches are very attentive and help with technique tips to improve and various options. I really like the fact that there are 2 coaches at every crossfit session. So, it is always plenty attention from their side to every single person. I really enjoy it and highly recommend to become a member of Motion CrossFit GU1.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic CrossFit box! The coaches are extremely welcoming and the atmosphere is really friendly and inclusive. Ideal if you’re uneasy about visiting a new gym. The facilities are great and there’s plenty of space. There’s lots of free on and off-street parking too. Genuinely highly recommend Motion Guildford to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I am new to Motion, but I'm absolutely loving it! The gym itself is brand new and has great kit and facilities. The coaches are all brilliant and make you feel at ease when learning new techniques whilst giving you a great workout. The other members have been so welcoming and really motivate me when training. Parking has never been an issue, they have allocated spaces and you can park on the road also. A really great CrossFit gym.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic operation. All brand new high end equipment. Tremendous group of friendly members. Brilliant programming where you can see how you build progress week on week with clear progression paths across multiple focuses running in parallel. Excellent coaching setup and quality ensuring there’s always enough coaches and structure to the classes for everyone to be coached. Particularly impressed with the care and focus they’ve given my partner to facilitate her to train effectively and safely through the later stages of pregnancy (35 weeks and counting!). Highly recommended for all levels of ability!

Fantastic experience: Motion Crossfit Guildford is awesome! It's a large space, high quality brand new kit, always got space for parking... and the coaches are all awesome. They make you feel right at home and make a real effort to ensure they get round everyone during a class. It's not intimidating like a lot of Crossfit gyms can be, all abilities are welcome and treated the same - but the approach is super professional and more like that of a well oiled London gym rather than a surrey based one. Recommend x 1000.

Fantastic experience: Motion GU1 is amazing! I had never done Crossfit before so was a bit apprehensive, but the coaches are really friendly and made me feel at ease. I can't live without it now. If like me you have some aches and niggles, they are happy to make adjustments to suit. A five star review doesn't do these guys justice. They are awesome!
