Fantastic experience: Been a bodybuilding gym goer for about 8 years and made the switch to the Monarch a month ago. So happy I did, the type of training is so much fun and encompasses strength, agility, cardio and more. The coaches are all amazing and so helpful, especially being new and the movements being complex. The community vibe is brilliant. Training session have all abilities in it, so you feel comfortable from the off. I don't think I’ll ever go back to training in a ‘normal’ gym again.

Fantastic experience: What a community. What a family. What a CrossFit Gym. During the latter part of last year, I lost a huge part of my life and was turned upside down for a while. My circle was smaller but the people within it did an amazing job at keeping me positive throughout it all. Moving into 2024 and I made a decision to start CrossFit (as I’ve taken an interest through observing the competitions) and choose Monarch as the place to learn and train. Well, first what hit me was the warmth from every single member, so much positivity, made me feel extremely welcome and increased my confidence in all aspects. So many friendly faces, cheering you on at all times. I’ve tried a traditional gym many times and backed out due to feeling alienated but this is not the case here! The coaches are incredible. I think I’ve trained under them all now and they all really care about your progress and notice the little things you improve on (sometimes without you noticing) Never is there a day at Monarch where you walk in and not hit with a wall of friendly hellos and smiles from them all. A genuine team of dedicated and committed coaches. Hats off to you all. And CrossFit. For me, I had never done anything like it before, I am not the most strongest or most flexible person, and that was a concern for me, however the moves and the scaling on everything you can do really allows anyone at any skill level to take part and improve every time you go. It’s really quite addictive once you get used to the programs each week. I highly recommend CrossFit and always at the Monarch. 10/10 across the board. Such an amazing place to be a part of. Fantastic experience: Really great first impression. Did my first ever CrossFit session this evening, and felt welcomed by the coach and group from the get go! Throughout the session Ryan, the coach, was on hand to offer guidance on each exercise which was very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I started my crossfit journey at 10 months postpartum and was really worried about it, after hearing it can be quite intimidating, but I couldn't have picked a better gym! In my very first class at CrossFit Monarch, the other members were so welcoming and warm, it immediately made me feel at ease. The coaches are also amazing! All of them are so kind, super knowledgeable, patient and great at explaining each exercise + demonstrating the skills and techniques for that movement. I've been able to do things ive never done like a handstand press-up, or quickly build back up to lifting weights that I used to lift pre-pregnancy! What I love about this gym is that the coaches pay attention to each of the members during class and give feedback to improve your form, and are available to answer any questions you have. There are scalable options for every workout and each class is a lovely mix of age groups and athletic ability. Personally, I find it empowering to see such strength among members and it gives me a goal to work towards. After attending a few regular classes, you start to get to know people who attend the same classes as you and it starts to feel like training with your friends. Its such a nice community with members cheering other members on, supprting them, going out for planned social gatherings, grabbing coffee/drinks after class etc. I can happily say i've made some new friends since moving to this town and joining this gym. I really love coming here and would highly recommend it to anyone whos considering starting, to join CrossFit Monarch :)

Fantastic experience: Simply love this place! Important part of my daily routine that I can't live without! Friendly, helpful coaches and lovely members. Every day is different. Workouts are challenging but fun. Have met some friends for life. Im lost without my daily fix of Monarch

Workouts are completely scalable so you don't have to be a super athlete to begin, but you may just end up there! Come along - you can try a session for free - and see for yourself.

Fantastic experience: Short review: This CrossFit gym completely deserves it's 5* rating. If you're unsure they offer a free 1st class just give it a go. Long review: when I 1st went I was the best part of 17st at 5ft'10 so an unfit obese guy. Never really been a gym guy I get really self-conscious in a gym environment or other fitness classes. it's still intimidating when you 1st walk in but once you've been once or twice you realise everyone is super friendly not just the staff but genuinely everyone. There's a nice community, you are likely to make some friends if you go and everyone just wants you to do well. I've not been to other CrossFit gyms myself but I have spoken to friends and family that have and some have said some negative things but I've not seen that at Monarch. One thing I have noticed when checking the area for CrossFit gyms is that Monarch seems to have more classes that are regularly running later and earlier than other gyms. I don't really have any negative points. It is expensive however it's month on month so you're not tied into a contract. The support you get from staff and the results you WILL get by far make it worth it. It's the best you're going to get without a 1 on 1 personal trainer. Classes are always different and I've yet to have one I've been clock watching wanting to be finished already. All the exercises have scaled down movements so if you have life long issues or are particularly out of shape you'll not have an issue participating.

Fantastic experience: I did a few FST class. Brilliant welcoming coaches, always different, tough, diverse guided workouts, good vibes. Mental stress level is greatly improved with good sleep…. Thoroughly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: EDIT: It's been a year and a half and I'm still attending 4-6 times a week and loving it. The Being worried about joining a CrossFit gym I e-mailed ahead before they opened and received assurances from the coaches that it was going to be less competitive and more inclusive. Having gone there for six weeks now I can confirm that the atmosphere is fantastic. You feel really encouraged and supported to do your best but not pressured to push yourself too hard or compete against others. All of the coaches are friendly and informative and ready to help you through movements if you're having trouble in any particular area. I adore this place and hope to see it thrive for a long time as it's worth every penny from me.

Fantastic experience: Sign up! You won’t regret it! Best gym with a great atmosphere. You won’t find kinder and more supportive coaches anywhere else. I felt really lost in terms of my fitness regime and I was lacking any motivation. I am now fully addicted and can’t wait for the next session. I thoroughly recommend!

The programming is great and always challenging, and I am definitely seeing fast improvements in my skill level because of it. The community they have created here even after only being open for 4 months is incredible. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and supportive. I can't recommend The Monarchy enough to anyone looking to get fit, strong, and healthy.

Fantastic experience: CrossFit Monarch is simply amazing. I went along wanting a structured workout with a lot of variety and what I found was not just that but also an amazing community and brilliant coaches. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the work outs are demanding but scaled in a way that a newbie and an elite can work side by side and both be pushed to their limit while sharing the experience. I would recommend CrossFit Monarch to everyone!!!

Fantastic experience: The only gym I'll ever go to. Monarch is a new but already established and thriving CrossFit gym with its own unique and welcoming atmosphere. The coaches are encouraging and professional and walking in off the street, you are greeted by a warm and friendly gym. What Ry, Verity and the team have created in just a few months should make Chippenham very proud. Free parking available and membership deals which are flexible if needed. Maximum numbers in each class with knowledgeable coaches in a good proportion to actually coach and train you. Genuinely proud to be a member of this gym.

Fantastic experience: The best CrossFit facility around! Although they have only just opened, the atmosphere in Monarch is incredible. Everyone is super welcoming and the coaching standard is second to none. Ry, Ryan and Verity have done a superb job of creating a functional and stylish place that can cater for all abilities and have both classes and open gym running at the same time!!! Highly recommend checking Monarch out if you’re a complete newbie or have plenty of CrossFit experience!

Fantastic experience: Joined CrossFit Monarch when it first opened in November 22 after doing CrossFit for 2 years and it’s been the best thing! I was around 12 weeks pregnant when I joined and the coaches, and members, have all been so supportive throughout my pregnancy; scaling movements where necessary, letting me take things at a pace that’s comfortable for me and just being all round amazing! I would highly recommend this gym to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Love the gym. The coaches are fantastic, every day there is a different workout and the people and community are super supportive. It's a very inclusive environment, there are plenty of scaling options to meet you at your level and help you progress. Lots of socials and fitness events too!
