We are extremely proud of Target Fitness’ history of supporting those who dislike the busy and often impersonal approach of big gyms. Our mission is to provide a truly unique space and environment, achieving amazing exercise results with a really personal approach.
Hi, I’m Nathan. I’ve been based in Cheddar as a mobile Personal Trainer for 14 years. During my career, I’ve helped in excess of 400 people with general fitness, strength training and Boxercise.
I am delighted to be able to offer clients a unique training space in which they can work to achieve their health and fitness goals, making the most of what the new facility can offer whilst retaining the magic that has served the mobile training service so well over the years.
Training with him has been a journey of self-discovery and has instilled in me a love for health and fitness which I am keen to pass on to others. I am looking forward to helping other people discover the joy and self-confidence that health and fitness can bring.
With a background in sports coaching and a love for health and fitness, personal training was the perfect career choice for me. I love to see clients make improvements in strength and general fitness and, most of all, I love to see their body confidence grow.

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently taken up a training program offered by Nathan. Firstly, I find the gym really welcoming, the gym & the equipment is maintained to a real high standard. The training sessions are really well thought out and make you feel like you’re progressing with every workout. The trainers are attentive and pay attention to each individual working out and offer guidance and coaching in a really positive and supportive way. Great place to work out and a fantastic sense of camaraderie.
Fantastic experience: After a very thorough induction, I had my first session today. It was challenging & the atmosphere was so great. I surprised myself with how much I actually enjoyed it! This is a very special place with lovely people. I can't wait for what's to come...
Fantastic experience: I joined Target Fitness in January when it first opened. It has become a fantastic friendly place to work out! Nathan, Sophie, Alex and Lewis have been absolutely fantastic trainers. Their expert experience has proven invaluable particularly when I’ve had an injury, in providing alternatives to suit me!! I love it!! I’m currently recovering from a knee op but can’t wait to be back very soon!!!

Fantastic experience: Target Fitness is the most fantastic gym. Nathan,Sophie & Alex are all brilliant and so encouraging to everyone. I have met lots of new people which has been fantastic. We are all very different with our levels of fitness but it doesn’t matter at all. Everyone encourages each other & as well as getting fit,feeling healthy & toned it’s also lots of fun with loads of laughs. I really love it & am looking forward to all the new sessions & different routines we will be doing in the future.
Fantastic experience: The best gym I have ever had membership at. A great value membership as I love it so much I very rarely miss a class - all the instructors and other members make this such a friendly & welcoming gym. The program changes regularly to keep it mixed up, recording progress keeps you motivated and trying to achieve more. I've gained a lot from joining here, friends, healthier outlook on food and strength. Totally recommend you get in contact with Nathan and the team.
Fantastic experience: I joined Target Fitness in January 2018 as a complete newbie to strength and resistance training. Previously, I was a complete 'cardio queen' yet only succeeding in keeping my weight down and never gaining the muscle tone and definition I so desperately wanted. However, after 9 months at target Fitness I couldn't be happier with the results! I absolutely love the workouts, which are frequently changed yet always challenging and fun. I was a bit worried about group training and worried I wouldn't know what to do but I now really love the atmosphere. Everyone is so supportive, but nobody more so than the instructors. They are all so helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. There is a real focus on correct technique and I love that they challenge me to push myself more than I would do if I were working out on my own. In just 9 months I am squatting with 5 times the weight I started with and I can deadlift more than my own bodyweight. I feel stronger physically but for me, there has been just as much mental impact. I genuinely feel like I have a more positive outlook and I've finally sorted out my pretty terrible relationship with food. I'm heavier than previously I may have been happy with but I've grown muscle which I can actually see and I am much happier with my appearance too. I LOVE Target Fitness and feel like I've stumbled across THE best gym in all of the South West! Thank you so much Nathan, Sophie, Lewis and Alex. It's been amazing and long may it continue!
Fantastic experience: I really enjoy every session the results have been great my body shape has changed and I feel much stronger. The coaches are amazing knowledgeable supportive and encouraging. It’s lovely working out with the other members we encourage each other and have a laugh along the way. I am so happy that I joined
