Emp1re Gym

Fantastic experience: Thought it might be worth revisiting two years and 5 stone loss later. With the help and tools of Emp1re, the trainers and fellow members, I've now done a 10k mud run and am working towards my first Hyrox doubles competition in December. The gym side is so well equipped and Rhys constantly invests your membership back into the gym and I still haven't found a bootcamp repetitive. The recently added Hyrox classes are absolutely brutal and really push you to ensure you get yourself properly trained up. If you're thinking about it - it's really for anyone. October 2022 - I joined 6-8 weeks ago and I'm completely hooked. As a very unfit person I was a bit daunted 'is this only for fit people' but I decided to be brave and I'm so glad I did as I have never met so many welcoming and supportive people in terms of both the trainers and the members. Rhys is so knowledgeable and manages to push each individual member to their personal limit so all abilities can do the same session with no issues at all. Looking forward to see how hard it gets as I get fitter... Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Emp1re goes above and beyond to make sure this gym is the best gym in the West Midlands! The equipment and vibe caters for both serious gym goers and beginners, with a full range hand-selected equipment, so every training style is suited to. I would especially recommend this gym to strongmen/women and powerlifters of all abilities. The gym is spotless and all hours are staffed which contributes to a welcoming and friendly environment! Although the membership price is lower than some other specialist gyms in the area, emp1re do a great job of reinvesting our money into equipment that is requested by members, allowing the gym to get better and better.

Fantastic experience: If you’re starting out or you’re an advanced lifter this is an outstanding place to train, everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. You can really see where your membership money goes as the equipment is always being upgraded. If you’re looking for a safe space because you’re starting out, it’s perfect because everyone is so inviting, if you’re an experienced lifter it’s great with some incredible kit, there is something for everyone. Bootcamps & HYROX classes these guys have you covered! This is much more than just a Gym it’s a community, it’s very special. If you haven’t already, just go try it!

Fantastic experience: With no hint of hyperbole this is my favourite place to be. It’s a really special gym, curated by the owner Rhys to be the best possible in all areas, like tailored/sourced equipment, excellent vibe, attention to cleanliness. If you want to achieve anything in developing cardio fitness, stamina, powerlifting or working towards a healthy body/mind you are set up to do so here. If you think you’re not a gym person, also the place to show you that you definitely can be.

Fantastic experience: Great independent gym with something for everyone. From tabata classes to strongman from hyrox to powerlifting, you can do it here and be part of a community that supports you every step of the way while you do. And they have the best gym dog!

Fantastic experience: I literally cannot exist without sporting activities. I am a foreign national, but I decided to spend two years in England for academic purposes. The first thing I did when I arrived here was to look for a gym where I could train in comfort and enjoy not only the results but also the process of training in the gym. However, when I found Empire Gym, it gave me much more than I could have expected. It is not an ordinary, and I am not afraid to say ‘atmosphere-less’ place like many gyms that have turned into endless franchises to attract capital, this place is literally one of a kind, and in my rich experience of training in various gyms, I have not met such a place. From the first class you feel that everyone around you is always happy to help you, there is an atmosphere of friendship and a truly sincere attitude towards people. The owner of the gym, as well as the whole wonderful team, not just perform their functions as staff, but put all their energy and effort not only to make you feel comfortable to be here, but also that for the fastest period of time you would know all the charms of the training process. There are no machines that stand in the corner and get dusty, the owner always tries to find something that will be in demand among the people who train here, and he has always been very good at it. It is very pleasant to see that for such a short period of classes (2 years), the gym has improved in all possible directions: its area has increased, a lot of different machines have been added that help to perform absolutely any task, as well as wonderful group classes, which I unfortunately did not manage to visit. It is worth mentioning the people who train here. These are the people who really come to the gym to fulfil their training plans, without unnecessary noise, without constantly busy for hours training machines, and most importantly, everyone around you is always happy to help. In conclusion, I can confidently say that I have not found a better place for training, and it is unlikely that I will ever be able to! Fantastic experience: Rhys was extremely welcome when I joined the bootcamp. Each session is different and Rhys is really helpful with any alternative exercises should you have any injuries. Couldn't recommend it enough to anyone looking to get back into shape after lockdown.

Fantastic experience: I have never liked gyms, I have always been too self conscious to go in let alone work out but the atmosphere at Emp1re is different. You are made to feel welcome and you are supported through your training. I have never been to another gym where so many different ages, shapes, sizes and abilities are catered for and encouraged.... not just by the staff but the other members too. It's become a place that instead of feeling uncomfortable when I go, I now feel uncomfortable when I don't. My body has changed, my fitness level has changed, my mental health has improved and to top it off there is the amazing gym dog, Arlo. Genuinely try it! I have introduced many friends to Emp1re and non have regretted it. The team here have definitely created something special and I'm so glad they did.

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say becoming part of Empire has changed my life. Rhys and the team are engaging and make me want to do better. Ive met some great people who have become good friends. When I first started going to Empire I had no idea what I was doing in the gym but I found if I was stuck there’s always someone to help out and show me the right way. Ive never felt anxious or embarrassed to be there and work out. Rhys is always getting new equipment and makes sure the machines he has are looked after so well. The place is always spotless too. Prior to joining Empire I had been to another bootcamp but got very disengaged as the sessions were so repetitive and I felt like I was never really challenged. Rhys has never missed an opportunity to push me and never lets me get away with slacking. The bootcamp session are always tailored to you as an individual so you’re given weights targets for your strength and any injuries are always taken into account and exercises modified. I can honestly say I’ve never done the same bootcamp twice and I’ve been going for 2 years now. We are all treated as an Empire family and are very proud of the new place to work out (it looks great). I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Empire1. You are truly the best !!!

Fantastic experience: One of if not the best gym I've been to. Plenty of benches at an amazing standard and constant work being done to keep the gym at the top standard. Very nice.

Fantastic experience: I'm pretty new here at Emp1re Gym and I have to say I'm really comfortable already. People are friendly, the kits is fab and the facilities are great. Gyms can be intimidating but it's really not like that here, really glad I moved to Emp1re. Plus there's Arlo, the real owner, who is as cute as hell and gives the best welcome there is.

Fantastic experience: I joined bootcamp in January after a very overindulgent and immobile Covid lockdown & Christmas and it’s the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. Rhys, Nath and all of the members are fantastic; so knowledgeable, supportive, friendly and fun. There is no judgement, which I found so refreshing compared to other gyms. The members range in ages and fitness levels, everyone is catered for and are there for a good time and a great workout. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: What can I say other than you NEED to come and join Empire! I've lost 5 and half stone so far and I'm toning as I go. I'm fitter than I've ever been and the support I've been shown by Rhys and all the other members is incredible. I've tried other bootcamps in the past but nothing compares to this! Come and get fit, strong and finish each session with bucket loads of SWEAT! I am healthier mentally as well as physically and I owe it all to Rhys and the whole Empire crew! Love you guys!
