Fantastic experience: In my second year I had a great opportunity to have my first MSK related placement at Swan. During my placement, the team and my peers encouraged me to build my confidence and challenged my knowledge on applying my skills into practice. I believe this placement enabled me to grow as a future physio and I enjoyed the freedom we had to get stuck in and have a go, whilst respecting the scope of our practice. I also had the privilege to take on a role as ABP during my last two years as a student. This supervised experience and opportunity enhanced my skills and I believe further developed my confidence and independence with assessment/ treatment planning. I was also able to engage in wider CPD courses asa result. For example, I attended the Western Medical Acupuncture course provided by Jon Hobbs. His training and guidance really helped to solidify my anatomy and I was able to add an additional skill in my toolbox! I had so much fun working alongside my peers and staff and the environment at Swan was very welcoming and supportive, geared towards our learning and growth as a healthcare practitioner.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service and attention to detail all round. I see Natalie in general, but had an online review initially with Carys. The team also encourage their university physiotherapy students to develop their skills and train them to a fantastic level. Natalie is second to none and I can recommend her highly. She has also helped our daughter through a very traumatic time when she fractured her spine. We would book through Swan Physio should we ever need physio support. They also work with the consultants to ensure the best possible approach to treatment. Can't rate them all highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Grace got to the root of my issues quickly. The quality of treatment was first class; she took time to diagnose what was causing pain and discomfort and used massage, ultrasound and acupuncture to treat the causes. I felt so much better as a result.

Fantastic experience: Swan Physio is a really good practice. I couldn't recommend Swan to anyone highly enough who needs help they are really worth going to for treatment. The practice is a teaching practice linked with Keele University. The whole team made me welcome right from my first visit. The hole team is very thorough and caring. Nothing is out of the question for the patients treatment and care. Including getting second opinion for medical treatment if required. As Swan is a teaching clinic it's really impressive how even the top management works together with the students total team work. I'd like to thank Carys , Natalie, Reuben, Deborah and and staff for all of the care and treatment that they are doing for me in my situation it is really appreciated you don't know how much. It’s interesting to engage with the students and to listen to the interaction between them and the qualified practitioner. Natalie Darlington definitely has healing hands.

Nat and Tom accessed my leg and realise my injury instantly, only had a few sessions of acupuncture and massage but already feeling the difference! After 22 years of back aches and physio sessions elsewhere, Carys' team diagnosed the problem in one session and sorted it out after three sessions, giving me exercises to do at home too. No hesitation whatsoever to recommend them. Their session rates are value for money because there is so much more treatment that goes into the session than other places I've been to. Don't bother to call anywhere else ....

Fantastic experience: I have been having a rotten time with a knee injury since Christmas, (8 months ago). During this period I was passed between various NHS institutions and GPs who misdiagnosed and offered little comfort in providing a solution or way ahead with my treatment. I was recommended to see Swan Physio by a family member.Ten minutes into the initial assessment Natalie (Physiotherapist) already knew exactly what the problem was by the way I was walking. This was promptly verified by Carys (Proprietor) and a pathway to recovery was identified. This was such a huge relief and my quality of life has improved greatly. The staff are friendly, professional and incredibly experienced. They have been there throughout the whole process to answer questions, direct and guide. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Carys & her Swans for some time and I’ve never looked back. 6 Years ago, I dislocated my knee in a particularly spectacular way, and caused so much ligament damage that long term, I could barely jog anywhere, struggling with big staircases and hills. Given that at the time I was in my mid-20s, this was pretty bad. After undergoing a very uninspiring NHS Physio programme, I honestly thought that that was just the way that it would be, and accepted my hobbley fate, until I met Carys, and headed along to her clinic for an assessment. I was astounded by the amount of care and attention to detail that the Swans showed me, and following a detailed assessment, I was placed on a series of supervised exercise classes at their beautiful clinic in Keele village. Fast forward 2 and a half years, and, after building a training and rehabilitation regime around Swan’s exercises, I’ve just finished my first Tough Mudder race - comprising of a 13 mile run, and 25-odd obstacles, most of which seem to have been designed purely to knacker squiffy knees. I finished it without the slightest of complaints from the knee that I thought I could never run on again.

Most businesses that you meet may make your life easier, or help you with a specific problem, but it’s very, very rare that you can say that you’ve met someone who’s business has genuinely changed your life. In this instance, saying that would feel like an understatement. If somebody has an injury, they need to go to Swan.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say a big thankyou to the team at Swan Physio in particular I would like to say thank you to Cat the Pilates teacher. When I broke my hip, I was left with some hip and back pain. Until I met Carys I had resigned myself to suffering with pains in my back and hips and being a bit wonky. Then 18 months ago after attending several sessions with Cary’s and having a bio mechanical assessment I was feeling much better and my walking had greatly improved. Carys then suggested Pilates classes to improve my posture and core strength. After having a 1 to 1 assessment with Cat who is a clinical Pilates instructor, I started classes and I have attended most weeks since. The individual attention given by Cat in Pilates classes means that everyone in the class works at their own level. I have improved in strength and ability rapidly and now understand what stretches and movements I can do at home to relieve my back pain and improve my posture. I would not hesitate to recommend Cary’s and her team to my friends and associates.

Fantastic experience: I experienced a severe back problem several months ago and contacted Carys for her professional opinion on the cause and options to help me recover as soon as possible as I was immobile at the time and in severe pain. Carys assisted me over the phone initially with my health issue and helped me to become mobile. I then arranged an appointment at Swan Physio to continue my recovery over the next four months. During each of my visits, I was welcomed and looked after by her entire team. All the staff were friendly and empathetic to my situation and they all helped contribute to my recovery. I was given plenty of options on how to enhance my recovery in addition to the clinic visits which have all helped immensely. I would not hesitate in recommending Swan Physio for any physiotherapy needs to anyone needing this sort of assistance. I can confidently say that Carys and her team will go above and beyond to help anyone with their health issues.
