Fantastic experience: I’ve been regularly strength training for the past 11 years but had taken a short break from training until I started with Body Mentors a year ago. I would really recommend them. The team are incredibly professional and friendly and clearly know their stuff. My strength has increased (hitting new targets and personal bests!) and my technique has massively improved. The team’s positivity and enthusiasm for training their clients is clear. Every session is good, hard graft and really enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I are both in our mid 50s and have been training with Body Mentors for the last 9 months or so. We were looking to focus on strength work to complement the cardio exercise that we get from cycling, and the Body Mentors approach suits this perfectly. We started as complete beginners with the barbell, but under the guidance of Will and Mylo quickly settled into alternate coached and uncoached sessions. We love the focus on the small number of key exercises, all with the bar. The coaching from the team is fantastic: their enthusiastic, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable approach inspires confidence, is highly motivating and has enabled us to make significant progress, with hopefully more to come. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had been a member of Hilden Park gym for many years before venturing to the intimidating end of the floor where the barbells live. Attracted by the positive and noticeable changes in the members training with Body Mentors, I took the plunge and have now been training with Will for six months. In that time my strength has increased significantly (I never would have believed chin ups were within my capability). I have also seen other benefits I did not expect. My self confidence has grown as I have succeeded in achieving my goals and my character is developing in terms of my ability to persevere. Will’s perfect combination of challenge, encouragement and fun has made this possible. Being a weight lifting competitor himself as well as trainer, he can spot the slightest adjustment in technique that needs to be made to take you to the next level. I am excited to see how far I can go.

Fantastic experience: I have been strength training with Will for 5 months now and would highly recommend him. He is professional and knowledgeable and knows how to get the best out of you to get results. I have noticed huge improvements in energy levels, sleep and mood as well as a reduction in body fat and increased strength - not easy to do as a mid-life woman! Will always makes the sessions enjoyable and is great at putting you at ease. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Body Mentors know their stuff! I’ve had knee pain and problems with sciatica for several years now, (brought on by running) and was having trouble even walking and getting out of a chair when I first went to see Jon. He identified tendonitis as one issue and I started training under his supervision. Within weeks my knees had improved dramatically, though not completely. An MRI revealed that I also have ‘multiple deep cartilage defects’ with a recommendation of surgical intervention, something I’m a little young for and certainly not keen on. However, through persistent training with Jon, we are able to manage my knees to a point where they rarely bother me these days. The sciatica I can get rid of fairly promptly through ‘flossing’, another exercise Jon has taught me – pretty miraculous. That’s why I went originally, but as a happy side effect it also turns out I’m really quite strong now, and can lift the weights to prove it – all good for body tone and weight loss. Transformational stuff.

Fantastic experience: I started with Body Mentors in September 2019, seeking guidance on managing a niggling, long-term groin strain, which was a factor in my loss of motivation in the gym. Impressed by the professionalism shown by Jonathan during an initial consultation, I booked a block of treatments. Resulting reduction in the niggle, lead me to introduce Jon to another one: shoulder impingement. Buoyed by Jon’s advice on training designed to avoid aggravating my conditions, back in the gym, I was fired up again, and lifting weights with confidence. During the therapy sessions we talked about training, Jon interested in what I wanted to achieve. As someone who has been into fitness training since my teens, I thought I knew it all. That is until Jon pointed out some of my bad habits. Assuring me it’s never too late to put things right, he suggested a schedule for the winter with the goal of increasing strength. I’m lurving that schedule, which includes dead lifts. Jon let it drop that dead lifts are Will’s favourite. So, now I’m with Will as well as Jon. Will is fine tuning exercises in my current program. If, six months ago, you would not have stood a chance of persuading me I still had a lot to learn. How wrong I was. Thanks to Body Mentors, I’m entering the second half of my 76th year with enthusiasm for training fully restored; measurable improvements in fitness; improved posture; an ambitious set of goals to pursue with confidence; and a support team like I’ve never had before. Fantastic experience: I am in my fifties and I had an old shoulder injury that flared up that made my arm weak, and it was difficult to sleep. Jon assessed my injury and provided me with step by step exercises that were manageable in my busy life. It was great to see my progression, my strength improving, the pain disappearing and now I am back weight lifting. I would 100% recommend visiting Jon if you have an injury/pain. I am very grateful for his professional advice and support.
Fantastic experience: Jon’s been great in improving my lifting technique and form which has some immediate benefit to my gym progress. Currently doing a strength plan he set which and my strength increase has been massive. He’s got explanations and tips for improving form and is very insightful in identifying causes for possible aches and pains. If you’re looking for something to push you to another level, coaching sessions with Jon are the way to go. On top of that the gym is well equipped and you can go to the driving range after a session! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I am 69 years old and have been using Body Mentors for over a year now and have been extremely happy with my progress. I wanted to get strength back into my knee that had been operated on and also my shoulder that was causing reduced movement. The training I get is both professional and detailed. I have a specific program that I follow and , with the encouragement and attention to detail from my trainer I have seen constant improvement in my core strength. This has given me increased movement in my shoulder and knee. I find that the training also benefits my focus and wellbeing. Fantastic experience: I've been training with Jonathan at Body Mentors for less than a year, and the progress I have made with his help and extensive knowledge is stunning. I'm a 74 yr old granny with two knee replacements and osteoarthritis. With Jonathan's encouragement, can do approach, and immaculate attention to technique, (not to mention his patience!) I'm lifting weights that I never dreamt possible! A new pb is such a joy and I know from the "high fives" it's shared by him too! I can honestly say that training with Body Mentors has changed how I feel about what can be accomplished no matter what stage of life you're at. I'm so glad I found them! Bring on the next goal!!

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Will at Body Mentors since June, and have been so pleased with the progress and results in a short space of time. I worked with another PT for several years pre-Covid, but my progress quickly plateaued. I had issues with my form and had been convinced it was down to mobility issues. Will has quickly helped me to drastically improve both my form and lifts. I have a far better understanding of the movements, and areas I can improve. I've doubled my squats, and increased in deadlifts and bench press. Away from the gym I play basketball and am already noticing the benefits of improved strength on the court – and feeling far less injury prone too. Big fan of the Body Mentors approach, and I'm looking forward to see what they can help me achieve in the months to come. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Jon highly enough! I came to him 15 months ago with a joint issue that had been troubling me for a while and was impacting my training. Jon's diagnosis was extremely thorough and comprehensive; he treated me over a couple of sessions, supported with rehab exercises that I did myself. This really helped my long standing issue but - being a keen runner and cyclist - I have had plenty more niggles to bring to Jon, all of which he has treated in a way that not only gave physcial relief but gave me the confidence to continue pursuing my sports in a managed way. What struck me most about Jon from day 1 was his positive attitude and his ability to meet me where I was at without judgement. I probably do overtrain, don't take enough rest and am into far too many different sports (!), but Jon just works with that and enables me to continue doing what I enjoy whilst encouraging me to achieve all my goals. Soon after we met, we moved from sports injury to PT and this is where Jon has really changed things for me - I have been building strength in the gym in a way I never thought possible; he is so encouraging and supportive and our sessions are always fun and rewarding. Training with Jon has given me so much confidence in my ability and in my body. I couldn't be happier that I found him!

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Jon once a month for a few years now doing a combination of strength training and soft tissue work. This is as a prevention against injury from my posture due to my job. Without Jon’s help, I’m sure my ability to work long shifts, but also a long career would be cut short. I can’t recommend Jon’s expertise highly enough, thank you for all your help, I look forward to our sessions every month.

Fantastic experience: I suffered a neck spasm six months ago, causing severe pain and lack of movement in the neck making it impossible to drive. The NHS and an Osteopath failed to find a way to give me relief. After three treatments from Jon and an exercise programme the pain reduced by 90% and mobility returned. Thank you .

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Will's for a couple of years now. Compared to other personal trainers I have previously worked with this is a very long time! Will brings a lot to the table that keeps me going back. Probably the most impressive traits and skills he brings to the table are: - Focuses on clients short and long term goals (diet and training) and continually reviews progress - Incourages long term sustainable change rather than a quick fix approach - Learns to understand your limits and push these boundaries - Rotates workouts to keep it interesting and stimulate growth - Excellent technical knowledge. Will actively provides advice to correct posture , this mimimises the chance of injury while developing the clients skills to progressively make muscle gains. I would strongly recommend Will to anyone looking to make sustainable body and healthy changes. I have also recently recruited Jon's help with a shoulder injury sustained practicing martial arts. Fantastic experience: Jon has been treating several issues I have suffered due to an active lifestyle.
