Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym with a great bunch of coaches and members!! Joined the 6 week bootcamp challenge and I haven't looked back. The sessions are varied and push you to your limits. The coaches are always looking to encourage and truly want your beat your best. Advice and guidance on the right nutrition is fab - this supports a long term change that focuses on being healthy. From early mornings to after work and weekend sessions there is a something for everyone.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for the 6 week course over weight and unfit , thinking I wouldn’t be able to do the classes, i was very nervous but everyone made me feel welcome , especially the trainers. After the 6 weeks I have loads more energy , I’m slimmer and look forward to excising , I would never have thought id complete the 6 weeks but I’ve now signed up for a year . I love it .

Fantastic experience: Smyth fitness is an amazing gym. I was really apprehensive about getting back into a gym. I love the fact there are no mirrors and everyone just gets stuck in, no judgement on your fitness level. The coaches, gym set up and other members are really supportive. There is a great variety of classes and the programmes really work. I dropped 5 kg of fat and increased 1 kg of muscle in my first 6 weeks. I’d definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: Such a good place to come if you want to loose weight, but don’t have the confidence or knowledge around how to. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I hated going to a normal gym as I felt so out of place, but love coming here. Definitely recommend. The coaches are all lovely and fun to be around to.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended!! I had been getting ads on facebook for months before taking the plunge. The whole idea of joining this sort of setup can seem very intimidating; You worry you are setting yourself up to be judged by a load of strangers. Smyth fitness is really nothing like that. It really is for people in their 40s and 50s (and 30s ) who are not regular gym goers, have struggled to look after themselves, but now want to do something about it, but dont know how. The coaches and the other members are very supportive and non judgemental; it is not threatening, there are no muscle bound posers. The message from Simon and his team is consistent and easily understandable. There is a strong focus on decent and healthy nutrition, and on keeping active over and above the regular boot camp sessions. There a few sessions (2-3) a day at various times, they last 45 mins from very early morning into the evening. They are the same session through the day, but each day is individual and not repeated. I have been very impressed. I have lost 12 Kg with the programme and the ongoing support over about 6 months; There is regular contact from the team, over and above the sessions, encouraging you to keep to your goals with an emphasis on accountability. If you are overweight and know you should be fitter this would be excellent for you, I would highly recommend them. UPDATE 4 Years down the line!! I wrote that 4 years ago, then covid happened, so I didn't continue. they did keep going with online and zoom session,. but that just wasn't for me, so I stopped. However, things went downhill with fitness over the past 9 months or so and I was putting weight on, so I rejoined the new upgraded version. Previously it was in school sports halls and playing fields, but now in a bespoke facility. Also the classes were single sex previously and are now mixed. The atmosphere is still as supportive as it was. No one is interested in what you look like, happy to support and help if you need it. No opportunity for posing - no mirrors in the facility! They tend to run two classes simultaneously usually one weights focussed and the other core and cardio, but you can do boxing session as well and they are installing a studio for spin bikes. The coaches are helpful and crack the whip during the cardio sessions but also keep an eye on the weight sessions to make sure you are doing exercises properly. They are conscious of injuries and will give alternative exercises if you can t do the set ones. Still a great set up. There is an ongoing focus on nutrition as well, and the coaches keep in touch either seeing you in the gym or via whatsapp to keep you on track. I am certainly happy with my weight loss in the past 8 weeks, and hopefully will keep this going. Would still recommend +++

Fantastic experience: I have always avoided gyms as I felt they would be intimidating. Since taking the plunge and joining Smyth Fitness I have changed my opinion. The coaches are very supportive and encouraging. The other members are also extremely friendly and welcoming. I actually look forward to going each week.

Wonderful coaches who provide lots of support and encouragement. If this isn’t enough, I’m not sure I’ve met such a group of friendly, kind and generous gym-goers. Fantastic experience: A gym with no mirror's and no ego. Just like-minded individuals wanting to improve mobility, strength, and movement with added pinache of weight loss. Its taken me a while to find you , but you've been worth the wait. Love having a mix of coaching styles and female coaches that get a menopausal woman ( yes, I said the 'm' word) I am challenged, encouraged , held accountable . I am meeting lovely, kind people who push me on . Each session is vibrant and fresh. The music creates the right vibes and atmosphere. Each week sees improvement. Come on, you know you want to join, it's magic .
Fantastic experience: I joined Symths fitness for the 6 week bootcamp and absolutely loved it. I was reluctant to join, but was made to feel so comfortable with Si and then the coaches are amazing. I attend the 5.45am sessions and Timmy is an asset to the team, he is fun and pushes when needed (and when you really don't want to be pushed) I had lost 2.7kg in fat, I feel great and I have joined for 3 months and I have got a friend who has joined to. You get to know the other regulars and becomes a really great addition to your day. The bootcamp offers you 6 weeks of training, 3 scans, a coach and help to track your nutrition. It's the push I really needed. I highly recommend joining. If I can do it anyone can.

Fantastic experience: As a sedentary worker and sufferer from Fibromyalgia I have struggled with my weight for years, but I lost 10lbs on the 6wk bootcamp (despite being unable to hit the step quota ever) and gained muscle and lost fat. The scans are in-depth, the staff knowledgeable (and available whenever you need them), the various classes change activities daily and on 6-weekly cycles to prevent you getting bored and everyone there is on their own weight-loss journey and so helpful and supportive of each other. I loved the boot-camp so much I joined! I have dropped a dress-size all over (almost two now) and a total of 12.5lbs in 9wks. I would recommend it to anyone serious about losing weight, gaining strength and muscle tone as well as improving your stamina.
Fantastic experience: I joined the boot camp at the beginning of June and I've never looked back, it's possibly the best thing I've done (life style wise) i should have done it years ago. I've managed to reach all of my early targets and now I'm starting on my long term targets and I'm sure with the help of the wonderful and very helpful coaching staff and the more experienced and friendly members I'll get there.

Fantastic experience: It's been a month since I join Smyth Fitness, still very motivated because of the friendly professional coaches, caring and encouraging nutrition coaches, a group of people with same goal to work out, interesting sections and flexible timeslot. English is not my first language but all coaches and team members are very helpful and patient to teach and talk to me, much appreciated After this month work out, I found myself with more passion on my daily life, me and my husband most of the time will work out together, we both think that the time we spend on Smyth Fitness will be one of our memorable stage in our life. Fantastic experience: I came to the gym a year ago and loved it. Stupidly I went elsewhere thinking I could save some money. Well I’ve come back and am so glad! It’s so supportive, everyone is really friendly and the trainers are so knowledgeable, push you and are really supportive. I’ve never once felt silly or out of place and I have at other gyms. I have noticed real progress after being back a short time and am absolutely loving it. There is lots of variety with classes too and they do a great job of creating a community feel, with fun challenges and things every month. Fantastic experience: I joined their 6 week program to kick start my fitness and lose a few kg. I have found their no-nonsense, very practical advice to be of great help to get me on track and to make achievable long-term goals become a reality. I really enjoy the classes they provide as you can have as much help from the coaches as you want. The ability level in classes is very wide-ranging and welcoming. The gym itself is a little further from my house than would be ideal, but that hasn't stopped me from signing up for 3 more months following the 6 week starter. Overall, I highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Smyth fitness is just what I needed. Tried multiple times to loose weight and nothing seamed to help, I have been going for 8 weeks now and have lost nearly 2 stone. The guidance and coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. Regular classes that fit into a busy life style with family and shifts. Have signed up for the whole year and looking forward to getting fitter and stronger. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience: I was stuck unhealthy and heavy, wanting to exercise but struggling to find the motivation and direction to start! I was recommended Smyth fitness by a family friend and in June I finally went along! I am seeing real results and physically feeling lots better. Fantastic experience: Completed my 6 week boot camp 2 weeks ago & I knew I definitely wanted to join and continue the classes as I could tell my body was changing, it’s been hard work but fun as well, nothing worth having is easy! I have enjoyed all the classes & all the staff are really friendly & couldn’t be more helpful & supportive. They are always there if you need anything as well on WhatsApp for a quick message.The nutritional support is crucial & this really helps keep me on track. No one @ Smyth fitness makes you feel out of place staff of members your all in the same boat. You can still enjoy that treat then get back on track the next day, no cravings no cutting out things you love to eat you can still have them occasionally!! Looking forward to my results in the next 6 months
Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth Fitness 9 weeks ago and it's one of the best things I've ever done.From the initial phone call with Simon right through to attending sessions the coaches are brilliant. They want you to get the best out of attending the sessions and they help you all the way. No mirrors, no feeling out of your depth just a group of like minded folk training together. Fantastic experience: I'm 57 years old an was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer and have had surgery and been left with a permanent stoma, then had 8 months of chemotherapy, which left me very very weak in my muscles, I wasn't able to push myself of the floor .Time to do something about this. SMYTHS GYM were advertising for ladies my age,why not. Wow I joined the 6 weeks Bootcamp and started in strength and conditioning sessions, with the fabulous coach's and friendly members 3 times a week at 6.35am, ive finally got some muscles, I cant thank SMYTHS FOR BELIEVING i could do it ,and if I can anyone can.ive never been to a gym or lifted weights but now as a full time member here i am
Fantastic experience: I was sceptical before i joined this Gym. Being 62 years old, too fat, and easily out of breath, but was pursuaded to attend and give the 6 week boot camp a go. You get a nutrition app that helps you very easily track your calories and protein, and I made sure that i stuck to the 3 sessions per week. Well after 6 weeks, I have have increased my body count, my visceral fat has gone down from 23 to 21, Ive lost 3.4 kg's of body fat and put on 1.7 kgs of muscle mass. BUT I've also lost 3 inches on my waist, which I am really pleased about. I just need to keep going now, so i've signed up for another 3 months. You won't recognise me soon! A massive thankyou to all of the staff and other users of the gym, who are so helpful and non judgemental.
Fantastic experience: I started with their 6 week boot camp and got great results. Excellent guidance from the knowledgeable coaches covers nutrition and other things outside of the gym which makes all the difference. Needless to say, I signed up as a full member after the 6 week trial!
Fantastic experience: Love this place! I started on a 6 week boot camp didn’t think I could do it. The staff are brilliant coach Pheebs and Charlotte are awesome. I am now a member and still can’t do some things but they help you adapt to do it another way. Best decision I ever made I’ve lost weight and dropped a dress size!
Fantastic experience: I wish I had joined years ago! The instructors are really great and always happy to help. They make sure your form is right so you get effective workouts! Everyone here is really friendly and supportive. Classes are challenging but also fun! (Never thought I would say a workout was FUN! ). We joined as a family on the 6 week program and now have stayed on as members, I think that is a testament to how fab this place is.
Fantastic experience: I joined the 6 week starter programme in April along with my wife and son. I have not been to a gym for many years and was not sure how the bootcamp style would work for me. My apprehension was misplaced and Si and his team of trainers have made me less self-conscious about fitness. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Other members are happy to chat and guide you too. I have lost weight, trimmed down and I am fitter now than I have been for years. Along with the nutritional guidance and support, it has been a life changing experience. I have now joined for the next 6 months and I expect to be continuing my fitness journey for many years to come.
Fantastic experience: Completed my 6 week boot camp in June just before going on holiday and there was no doubt in my mind I was going to sign up after! Working full time with a 3yr old, trying to get to other gym classes has been such a struggle but at Smyths there are classes at all times of the day so it’s so easy to find a time to fit one in! The classes are also really varied so you don’t get bored, I have been going for over 10weeks now and still look forward to going. I’ve also found all the other members to be absolutely lovely, nobody lets you walk into a class and feel out of place - The best thing in my opinion though are the coaches, they are friendly and fun, and they don't let you just coast, they make sure you’re doing things correctly, always push you to go that little bit further than you think you can and will put a heavier weight in your hand if they know you can manage it! I feel stronger, fitter and like I’m slowly getting my core strength back after losing it completely so I’d recommend to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I was a member of Smyth Fitness before the pandemic started and for various reasons couldn’t continue my fitness journey. Once i had made the decision to take up exercising again, i didn’t need to look elsewhere, i knew where i’d feel most comfortable and be looked after and achieve the results I wanted. Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth Boot Camp in March this year and completed the 6 week program after being in a 'normal' gym before this and haven't looked back! The 6 week programme is dedicated to you giving you a training,calorie ,protein and step count to get the results THIS REALLY WORKS!!! During my 6 week challenge I lost 4% body fat by following the training plan! You receive weekly support from your coach and regular encouraging emails from Simon! The training, coaching and support from the trainers is second to none ⭐ What I ❤️, is the fact there's set class times, early morning sessions that you can manage before work to get my workout done. Everyday is different and the mixture of strength, cardio and boxing is always challenging, which is exactly what you want from a session. Fantastic experience: I completed the 6 week boot camp and can honestly say I wish I'd taken the plunge sooner. The coaches are amazing and so very supportive. The atmosphere in the sessions is like a big family and eveyone encourages and supports everyone. Fantastic experience: After retirement 3 years ago I settled into a bit of a rut, and needed to break the cycle. Joining Smyth fitness has helped me achieve this. I started on the 6 week plan in April and have now continued with a full membership. The classes are full of likeminded people who support and encourage along with the fantastic coaches who ensure exercise is done correctly and safely. My main reason for joining was to lose weight, but it is so much more than that. Along with the nutritional advice and the importance of protein, I feel fitter, stronger and definitely more motivated on a daily basis.
Fantastic experience: I joined for a 6 week bootcamp - the Trainers and Si Smyth himself are friendly, professional and create a really buzzy, supportive and positive environment. If you are an overweight unfit person, looking to get motivated to take care of yourself and get science- based advice on nutrition, this really is a great place. Loads of women, a great mix of Coach-led sessions, mixed ages and abilities and NO MIRRORS! , Strongly recommended .

Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth fitness in April as part of the 6 week challenge. All the coaches there are very supportive and encourage you every step of the way. Coach Pheebs was in touch every day of the six weeks checking in making sure everything ok. I’ve noticed a big difference in my shape and also lost 5kg. Enjoying it so much I decided to sign up as a member. Now got coach Timmy. Timmy is an excellent coach. Pushing and encouraging me to get the best out of my sessions. If you’re thinking of joining a gym I would fully recommend Smyth fitness. Very friendly and great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: I joined Smythe ladies on the six weeks starter programme and is one of the best decisions I’ve made! All the coaches are incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and help to push you outside of your comfort zone. Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth Fitness in April on the 6 week boot camp. I was met with friendly staff whose support was invaluable. Not only were the coaches great during fitness sessions, you were also supported with nutrition. The emphasis is always on enjoying life and balancing your food choices around your routine. For once you did not have to feel guilty or miss out, but make adjustments to balance fitness and nutrition. The classes are great and everyone is really friendly and helpful. I didn’t know anyone before I joined but was welcomed warmly by others. The contact you get from coach Si is regular and inspiring, very down to earth and honest, he is really passionate about his business and his staff and members. I decided to join up following the 6 weeks as I really am feeling the benefit of Smyth Fitness.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE THE GYM! These are words that I never thought would come out of my mouth being a 57 year old, post menopausal, very overweight woman who didn't like exercise at all. I was desperate to lose weight and contemplating going back to a slimming club for the 5th time when adverts for Smyth Fitness kept cropping up on FB. I tried hard to ignore them as I had tried to join up for a.n. other gym but had been turned down on insurance grounds due to a medical condition. I left a comment to this effect and the next thing I know I am contacted by Si who talked me through why his gym would suit me. I was sceptical but after a tour of the gym and realising that Si had a sensible solution to all my "can'ts and doubts" I signed up. That was nearly 3 months ago. Its changed my life. I soon realised that disability/age/obesity are not the blocks to exercising I thought they were. I may have to do things in a different way but with the help and support of coaches who know what they are talking about I am flourishing. You get one to one nutritional and fitness advice and guidance and no question is a daft one. I have lost weight, firmed up and lost inches. After the 6 week session was done I signed up for a year. The gym is a place to workout and we take it seriously but we are a friendly bunch of normal people - all shapes. sizes, abilities and ages. We work hard and push ourselves to do better but it doesn't feel like hard work. It has changed my mind and body and I am no longer making excuses why I cant do stuff - Its brilliant, join up - I promise you you wont regret it.
Fantastic experience: I'd been making excuses for years about not exercising and pretending my diet wasn't really that bad. I've been in many a gym over the years but I've always got disheartened. Nobody to encourage you or a friendly smile or hello. I just didn't enjoy it. Nobody likes to do something they don't enjoy. Smyth Fitness is totally different. It has a friendly atmosphere. Everyone speaks to you, they dont stare like you have 2 heads. Everyone is so friendly. I signed up for the 6 week bootcamp. The coaches are great, and very encouraging. You have to monitor your calories on an App count your steps and attend 3 times a week. A body scan is taken at the start middle and end of your 6 weeks so you can see the changes. I feel stronger have more energy and I've lost weight. Sign up. You won't regret joining the Smyth FitFam.

After 6 weeks I am so much fitter, lost a stone and a half and seeing improvement week on week. I can't recommend enough. You will be pushed to get fitter but in a friendly way by all the great coaches. At the same time though you work at an improvement level that suits you, that you can accomplish. If your thinking about joining don't think, do it. You won't regret it. Finally age is not a barrier. Talk it through with Simon, he won't do you wrong
Fantastic experience: I started 6-week boot camp back in Febuary, The staff are great and really encouraging. Since the 6-week boot camp I have become a member. I found that classes enjoyable with a good mix. The coaches will happily help push you (Within your limits). Since doing this I have lost weight and losing it steady plus becoming stronger. Couldn't recommend smyths enough :)
Fantastic experience: I joined the 6 week boot camp feeling really nervous. I didn’t need to be because everyone is super friendly. The classes are great fun and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels intimidated going to a gym. The coaches are there to help and encourage you every step of the way.
Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth Fitness at the beginning of February 2024 as I needed to get in shape after many years of little exercise and too much corporate entertaining/being entertained and nights away from home eating and drinking in Hotels. Both my kids are gym bunnies but go to the more conventional type of gym, full of mirrors and posers! The difference with Smyth is that the sessions are in small groups with a personal trainer allocated to you. It really is quite a unique experience as far as gyms go. Everybody is really friendly, both instructors and customers. If you go to the same sessions several times each week you start to get to know people who then become friends. I have lost 1.5 stones in the time I have been attending and achieved this is by going three times a week to the sessions, walking 10,000 steps per day (Approximately 1.25 hours but easier when you have a dog to walk anyway) and following their nutrition plan which is tailored to you specifically. I definitely recommend joining as I feel so much better getting regular exercise as my day job now involves sitting at a desk pretty much all day. After doing the initial 6 weeks course, I signed up as a full member to keep enjoying the benefits. Thoroughly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Started on the 6 week challenge as a way of getting back into some form of exercise and structure, immediately signed up for the next 12 months, this place is great from the staff / coaches who are always willing to help and give positive, constructive advice on the exercises and dietary requirements to all the other members who are all there for the same purpose, no big time charlies just good honest people wanting the same thing with lots of encouragement and banter along the way.
Fantastic experience: Have just recently completed a six week bootcamp took the plunge to became a full member Feel so much better both mentally and physically and so far have lost a stone in weight.. Great friendly vibe and everyone willing to give tips and advice... Give it a go you've nothing to loose (except weight and money for a new wardrobe)

Fantastic experience: Joining Smyth Fitness for the 6 week boot camp is the BEST thing I have done! I was nervous to get back into exercise but desperate to start losing weight and they made it a joyful process (yes, I do mean joyful!). The support has been in abundance not only from all the coaches (who are incredible by the way) but from all the members too; it really is an amazing community! The coaches help you to set goals and stick to them, they work out how many classes you need to do to achieve your targets, explain all the different exercises and even what nutrition you need to consume. Joining Smyth Fitness is not about signing up to a new diet - You can't help but catch the bug for it, its a NEW LIFESTYLE. If you are at all nervous or worried about getting into or back into fitness this is the place to go! I have managed to drop just over a stone in 6 weeks and I've now signed up for the year as I don't want to stop being part of the amazing community.

Fantastic experience: 3 weeks in and I can see a massive difference! Gyms are not in my vocabulary, but this is not like any normal gym, it’s like going to see your mates, but ending with a sweaty face! Such a mixture of classes to cover everything you need with the coaches at your finger tips for guidance and they also love to see how much you can push yourself (feels so good) If you’re thinking of joining, don’t think just do it! Fantastic experience: Christmas 2023 I was weighing it at my heaviest ever of 106.4kg (16st 7lb) and needed to do something about it. Although I was active on the Peloton, it wasn’t enough. I didn’t like my appearance and was eating and drinking too much. In between Christmas and the New Year I contacted Smyth Fitness Men and spoke with owner Simon Smyth. After a couple of phone calls and talks about my aims and objectives I signed up to his six week challenge starting Jan 3rd 2024. I was an allocated a personal nutrition coach, Phoebe, who, based on my aims and objectives, she set out my food intake and nutritional targets. Using a simple food tracking app, I was able to monitor calories in vs calories being burned. There was also the requirement to train a minimum of 3 times a week at SMYTH Fitness HQ in Loughborough, as well as hitting 10k steps a day or 70k a week. During the 6 weeks, you are given 3 body scans (W1, W3 and W6) that measure not only your gravitational pull on earth(!) but also more important factors that I’d never considered before, such as visceral fat around your organs, skeletal and muscle mass. Seeing the visceral fat level at 16 on my inital scan, was a further wake up call to me. I hit the six week challenge with determination, dedication and was focused, incorporating Dry Jan into this. I tracked food daily, attended 4-5 training sessions a week and completed my 10k steps daily. I made a great new circle of friend with the 0545 crew! Yes, that’s 05:45 in the morning! I get up and get it done. By 0645 I’m back home having burned off around 550 plus calories and am getting ready for work before most folks morning alarm has gone off. SMYTHS concept works. Simon has created a none judgemental setting where there is no gym hype or mirrors, and you will be welcomed by everyone there. The coaching staff are on the top of their game and along with fellow members they offer support and guidance, making you (me) accountable. Six weeks on (17th Feb 2024) whilst there is still work for me to do with regard to achieving my ideal weight, and an increased muscle mass, I’m heading in the right direction and am now a signed up member. I feel fitter and stronger and my results show this. Not only a reduction in my weight of nearly 9kg in 6 weeks, but a decrease in visceral fat (Level 16 to Level 11) A reduction in body fat of 9%, an increased muscle mass of 2.42kg and an InBody score rating from 67 to 82 (80 being classed as good body composition) At no point on the six week challenge did it feel like I was on a diet. Yes I was tracking food, and ideally 80% of your food ideally needs to be whole single ingredient food, but I never went hungry or felt I was on a strict diet. In fact some days it felt counter intuitive and was eating more than previously! It’s simply calories in versus calories out! With this you can bank some calories, creating a deficit so you can still have treats and rewards at the weekend, such as that pizza takeaway and some beers! Moving forward as a paid member, I still get allocated a personal coach who will continue to guide me through my new targets which we have set. Training with other members who are now friends continues to make me accountable and also the sessions enjoyable. I once heard a quotation that for me sums up SMYTH Fitness and its members: “Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.” I cannot recommend SMYTH Fitness enough! Fantastic experience: I signed up with Smyth fitness at the end of October, despite a holiday and Christmas I have still lost over a stone, my fitness levels are the best they have been in years, my mental health and confidence are also feeling really good. I would highly recommend this place, it’s not just a gym!!
Fantastic experience: I honestly can not put into words how good this program is, I hate going to the gym until now. No judgment everyone helps. The nutrition program is easy to understand and it make sense. Si and the team of coaches are amazing. Give this a go if you don’t start seeing results I will eat your hat.
Fantastic experience: My wife has been trying to get me to go to bootcamp for years. I finally realised that I couldn't keep on with my unhealthy lifestyle. I joined in December and think it's excellent. I lost 1.5 stone and feel way better. I go a 5pm and it stops me going to the fridge for a beer . The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the equipment is very good. I like the variation of the exercises... just when you think you've found all your muscles, you find some you didn't know you had :-) It's definitely a more friendly environment than a gym. I've just done my 6 weeks and have signed for 12 months. And I still enjoy a beer at the weekend ;-) 10/10
Fantastic experience: I have been wanted to get my husband to do exercise all our married life but….nothing have been success he like swimming and like cycling But soon he had enough when Smyth Fitness come up A few of our friends and close family join these fitness. And finally get my husband to try and he agree to do exercise and finally he agree,, I am so proud of him. He done so so well we both training together♂️sometime.. he did said I can’t be bothered to go, but when he been he said that was good Felt better for it Exercise is important in our life is so easy to not do anything, but as we get older that is not good for your health , hopefully both of us gain good health get fitter and healthier Thank you for all coaches you guys all amazing, so encouraging and supportive. Fantastic experience: I am 62yrs young and I have never been to a gym in my life. I felt tired and podgy, and drinking too much. I joined Smyth fitness boot camp. In 6 weeks I lost 10kg, cut down the alcohol and much more active,,,just ask my wife,,,nudge nudge wink . The coaches and support are fab.
Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth's six week bootcamp in November and never looked back. It is a great way to get fit, loose weight, get healthy and make friends. At Smyth's you get a combination of varied excercise sessions, simple, yet effective nutritional advice, and support from a trainer. Nutritional guidance is based on a few basic principles, such as getting enough protein and tracking calories, and is remarkably effective when it comes to fat loss (there is a body scan machine that allows this to be tracked). The excercise sessions are great. Some focus on strength and involve free weights, but others like Tabata and HIIT are more about a mixture of cardio and strength. They are tough, but very rewarding... The trainers in the gym are really nice and supportive, and are always on hand to provide advice and make sure you are doing the excercises correctly. The support from a personal trainer also ensures that there is accountability, so it is more difficult to give up, or lapse. The gym has no mirrors, and there are no egos on display. Just fellow normal people getting fit. And I like the fact that a lot of sessions are done in pairs or groups of three, so there is a lot of peer support and encouragment. In October, before I started, I felt unfit, middle age was catching up with me, my back was hurting, and I just did not feel very good. Two and a half months later, my back is stronger, I feel much healthier and happier. I recomment Smyth's for people who like me suffer from lower back pain. Making your back stronger really helps, so although it may seem counterintuitive, you need more, not less excercise...
Fantastic experience: Smyth Fitness is a fantastic gym, I can't recommend it enough. The facilities, the trainers, the training sessions are second to none! The team put a lot of effort in to making your goals become reality. This is no ordinary soleless, ego filled gymnasium, when you join Smyth Fitness you join a family of like minded people who want the same goal, to get fitter, lose weight and not feel uncomfortable in doing it.
Fantastic experience: Signed up for the 6 week programme in October because I was struggling to shift weight after turning 50 and it was creeping up. By Christmas I had dropped a dress size, felt more toned and fitter than I have in years. My husband joined too and loves it - the team of coaches are brilliant, the classes are always different and motivating and, best of all, it works! Fantastic experience: I joined the 6-week boot camp at beginning of November 23 and have lost a stone in weight and all my clothes fit!! Trust me I’ve tried everything before and was four stone over Weight. All I did was follow the program and put the effort in. I had the constant support of coach Phoebe, regular motivation from Coach Si and the support and “push” from the non-judgmental focused session coaches! Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: All I can say is.. it does what it says on the tin. I joined in the summer to lose my 10lb beer baby and to get my focus back in my general fitness routines. Over the following 8-9 weeks I followed the calorie and protein targets (most of the time), trained at least 3 times a week and did my steps ( the dogs loved the extra walks), hit my personal weight goal.. and… still managed to have more than a few beers at the weekend. I’ve joined now as a permanent member and love my 6:30am sessions. The coaches are great, provide the motivation and advice where needed (Shout out to Caz and Timmy especially). This isn’t a niche trendy hipster gym, all image over substance - there’s no mirrors to pose in. You get out what you put in.. but if you want to lose that mid life weight you’ve built up, generally get fitter, healthier and happier then join up.. what have you got to lose? (Apart from the excess weight)
Fantastic experience: What can I say? I have never liked gyms! This place is amazing, the coaches and staff are great. Extremely helpful, with everything including nutrition. I started on a six week boot camp, I have now joined for the year! So if you want to get filter and healthier with a bunch of really friendly people, this is the place for you.
Fantastic experience: I joined Smyths Fitness on a 6 week challenge, I was really overweight and unhappy with myself . I was not at all looking forward to it as I’ve never exercised in my life !! On walking in on my first session I fell in love with the place , the coaches and members are all so lovely and helpful.. everyone helps each other and wants you to succeed. I was only going to do it for the 6 weeks to get a kick start into fitness …I loved it that much I became a member .. The results are amazing my body looks completely different and Iv gone down 2 dress sizes and lost weight . I would highly recommend Symths Fitness if you are looking to get fit and healthy!!!

Negative experience: Good results and great crowd. I supported the business through COVID as it felt right to help a small business, only to be unsupported when I had a personal situation. Shame really. Community only then on their terms. Use it for what it is.

Fantastic experience: Completed boot camp and haven’t looked back. I really enjoy all the classes with coaches who are both enthusiastic and experienced. With their help and advice I’ve lost a stone and now targeting more. Also lost some of the body fat that has been gathering over the last few years.

Fantastic experience: I have recently become a full member. It was an easy decision to make. I have never felt welcome in gyms. They can be judgy places and people don’t always treat you respectfully if you are new to something or don’t look a certain way. It’s really not like that here. The coaches (and members) all want you to succeed, welcome you and want you to achieve whatever goal you have in mind.
Fantastic experience: Recently just completed the 6 week introduction at Smyth Fitness and thoroughly recommend it. Previously I've struggled with motivation dragging myself to a conventional gym so wanted to try something new. All the coaches and members are really friendly and helpful. You get assigned a coach to go through goals, accountability and nutrition and am enjoying the sessions so much so that have signed up as a full member. There's loads of sessions to choose from during the week and what I've liked is that you have the choice of a strength or cardio session at each time so you're not just limited to what's on at the time you can make it etc.

All the coaches are great & always there if you need anything, every class is different & everyone is super friendly & we have a laugh. I’m really enjoying working out now.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Smyth fitness highly enough! Over the years I’ve trained at various places from the cheapest of sawdust mills to the expensive corporate twinkle town setups and none of them compare to Smyth’s Fitness. If your looking to get in shape, loose the dad bod, improve your fitness or just tighten things up then this is the place! I had been out of training for 5yrs, gotten lazy, was not far away from 20st and worse still just as close to 50yrs old…. Something needed to change, but to be honest, I had more than enough excuses of why I couldn’t do anything about it…. Seeing a recent holiday pic where my belly stuck out more than the rucksack on my back was the trigger…… I’d followed Smyth Fitness on Fb for years, seen them posting for the start of the six week programme and had a chat with Si Smyth himself. There was no false promises, no hard sell and had just a really nice guy to guy chat about the facility, the team, expectations and programme…… Id say that first point of contact set the theme of the entire experience. Everything was as he said it was, the team are just as knowledgeable, polite and more importantly engaging… Additional to all the fitness equipment and weights etc, They’ve invested in some really good tech and apps to support the analysis, scans, monitoring and production of the bespoke nutrition plans. The unit itself is easy to access and just walking in, and you see the big “Smyth’s Fitness” mural on the wall, you get a sense of just exactly how effective it’s all gonna be. There’s no walls of mirrors, no shimmering glitter floors, walls or disco balls, but what there is, is all of the key equipment and more needed to deliver exactly what they print on the tin! The other members are all of a like mind, friendly, welcoming and all at various stages of their lives and on their own journey of fitness and getting into shape… 6 week programme done, I’d lost 7.3kg and seriously gotten the bug again! Shape changing in such a short time was unreal, the environment sucks you in and I am now signed up for an additional 12months! So much thought goes into each class, two different classes running at each time slot and no two days are the same, it really does keep you interested and switched in, they do all the thinking, planning and setting out, everything is cleaned and wiped down after every class and you get hand sanitizer on entry, there’s motivation boards, programme boards, PB boards and even optional internal team type events such as a warrior games and 5hr Boot Camp to help encourage a happy fitfam environment and help you set you your own personal goal and achievements… Great support from the coaches direct through what’s app or from the team and all the SF FitFam members on their Facebook group too!! If your looking to find the ideal place, with an honest and knowledgeable team, with no BS and a proven record that really do deliver the goods, where your not judged or compared but are encouraged and supported all the way to loosing weight, getting in shape and living a healthier life style then this place is all you need to know!! Seriously, don’t put it off, give it a go on the 6 week programme, it really is that good!! You’ll only regret not doing it sooner!!!
Fantastic experience: Joined the 6 week programme initially to try out. Have had a fantastic experience. You can choose sessions from 5am to 7 pm. Lots of different activities. All led by knowledgeable friendly coaches who know you by name. Have joined as a member now. Lots of other people I met have been members for years.
Fantastic experience: I'm not one for public gyms but at smyth fitness I was made welcome and worked up my levels, the coaches are on hand for information and motivation, great energy from them. It has changed my view on gyms. Well done guys
Fantastic experience: I joined Smyth fitness 3 months after having a Csection. I knew I wanted to get fitter and lose weight but was naturally concerned about whether it was the right time. I am also not a natural when it comes to excercise and I would have used any excuse to avoid starting! Si assured me that he had the best coaches working with him and they knew how to accommodate post surgery/injury challenges- he wasn't wrong!! Whenever it was needed a station/excercise was altered to ensure I still achieved results without hindering my recovery..in fact, getting stronger and healthier has aided my recovery. Now I am 6 months postpartum and I am fitter and healthier than I have been in a long time. I have lost fat, gained muscle and I am much more of an active parent for my children! If you are going to achieve your goals anywhere, it's here as you have a group of coaches and members supporting you! It is so much more than a gym!

Fantastic experience: I am so glad that I found Smyth Fitness, the real deal and full package where fitness, wellness and nutrition are core to the programme. This is the first time I can honestly say this is a holistic approach. Coaches are supportive, knowledgeable, up to date with the best evidence base & research and are really personable. I have experienced personal challenges as I started the programme and Si, Pheobe and Timmy have been there when I needed them with words of encouragement and advice I would not hesitate to recommend Smyth Fitness and after my 6 weeks bootcamp I am now a member. Fantastic experience: Firstly if you want an easy ride this is not for you! I don't do gyms, I don't like weights, I get bored easily and the thought of an hours workout....well! However Smyth Fitness is far from a normal gym environment. Your coaches are firm but fair, listen and will adapt exercises if you can't manage them, workouts are 30mins long which is more than ample and the variety means you'll never get bored as you never know just what's instore as you walk in the door. The other members and bootcampers are all there for the same reasons so the moral in there is so amazing, you will find all sizes, ages both male and female. This is more than a gym there are social events, direct messaging to your personnal coaches, meal guidance and much more. I've never lifted weights in my life and although nervous I now do 2 classes a week, I think it all boiled down to lack of knowledge and that's certainly something Smyth Fitness have plenty of. Remember this review is from someone that doesn't "DO" gyms!!! Take a chance......Good luck!
Fantastic experience: I have just finished my 6 week starter sessions and have loved every minute of it that I have now signed up for the year. The team are fantastic and really supportive. They encourage and support you every step at the way, with your fitness and your nutrition too. The gym itself is lovely with lots of equipment and NO mirrors, if you hate looking at yourself while you work out. This helps with self-esteem. But most of all I like the support you get from fellow members and the lovely family feel... im constantly encouraged by people I dont know who eventually become friends.
