Fantastic experience: Tring Martial Arts has been wonderful for my son. Each session is fun and after only one month he has gained so many new skills and grown in confidence.

Fantastic experience: Having attended the academy myself i had no hesitation in enrolling 2 of my grandsons, one of whom has developed into an awesome martial artist. The other lad has joined the beginner classes and is having a fantastic time under the wonderful tuition of Sensei Chris and Paula. With a physically challenged ability in both hands I never thought a push up would be possible, let alone a burpee (I thought that was a drink from 7/11!) Fantastic experience: My Son who is now 10.5 has been attending since he was 7. He loves earning his tags in between belts. They have a junior belt system, and he is working in the advanced section of belts. He really enjoys the classes which are engaging, professional, well taught and fun. The dojo is well kitted out in a professional manner. We do have to buy training equipment as he has progressed. For example, helmet, foam swords, numchucks. I was amazed at how quickly his kicks and punches improved and how high he can kick now compared to when he started. He enjoys the boxing as well. It’s a great way to keep fit. He suffers from a hearing loss disability so learning Marshall Arts in a non-contact class is perfect for him. It has instilled resilience, hard work and respect. The staff are very helpful and professional and there are multiple ways to book classes. If he cant make his regular class, he can switch to another class. They are very flexible. I highly recommend Tring Martial Arts.

Fantastic experience: I suffer with 2 Chronic illnesses and have been doing Tai Chi for 10weeks. It has helped so much with my illness and everybody at TMA is so lovely and makes you feel completely comfortable. I can do as much or as little as I want depending on how I feel. I have learnt so much in such a small amount of time and can’t wait to continue.

After chasing a career, paying a mortgage and living life etc it was time to train again and what can I say about TMA that it is a truly professional outfit of the highest standards with a plush Dojo. Sensei Chris Peck is a true professional and his instruction is superb, so varied and fun and given that I used to train and be taught by 2 Muay thai world champions and by 2 world renown martial arts instructors covering traditional Chinese martial arts and Tae kwon do, you know I know a little about the martial arts. Fantastic experience: Second time for me in sharing a review. Excellent martial arts academy. Sensei (instructor) is of the highest standard. Club is super well run. Just off the back of black belt gradings in November. Everyone who partook certainly knew they’d accomplished something great.

Fantastic experience: We wanted our son Sebastian to gain confidence and become more physically active. Tring Martial Arts has been amazing. It’s taken Seb a little while to settle in, but the close-knit community, especially the trainers (senseis). Very friendly people with a very positive attitude have made Seb feel right at home. Fantastic experience: My child (age 5) is loving attending these classes. Chris and the team are really good with encouraging them to learn the basics of Martial arts while also making it fun with games and obstacle courses. He looks forward to going every time. Fantastic experience: My husband and I signed up our son with TMA over a year ago when he had turned 4 years old. He is now on a blue belt and is still very keen on coming once or twice a week. Fantastic experience: My daughter is part way through the 4-6 yr starter programme and really enjoys this class. I must admit to starting the classes with a degree of ignorance of the content. Now having read the TMA prospectus and sat in on a few of the classes I have realised just how much more is on offer here than some fun after school exercise. And anyone who can cultivate an atmosphere of mental focus with excited children deserves 5 stars, so Sensei Chris definitely gets that - the teaching is excellent. I've been really impressed with everything I've seen and looking forward to my daughter becoming a member.

The class is always friendly, well structured and fully equipped with crash mats, pads, etc. The upstairs 'punchbag room' is the icing on the cake. A big thank you to the whole team.

He is also part of their Instructor Development Programme, an amazing programme that gives young people the opportunity to train as instructors and volunteer to assist in the teaching of younger students. Fantastic experience: My daughter has only recently joined the academy and absolutely loves it! Her confidence is growing each week and she really looks forward to her class with Chris.

Positive experience: Great atmosphere and teaching! The only negative point is it’s quite pricey starting from £99 a month for 2 sessions a week and the cancellation requires 1 month notice. If you have other commitments then probarbly better off trying somewhere else otherwise if you haven’t got any commitments then deffo check it out and try the trial period which allows you to try as many classes as you want for a month for set fee.

Fantastic experience: Chris and his team are a really friendly group of teachers. No ask is too small and they always have time for any one -to-one help. The dojo is a great well equipped space, and whilst we're unable to use it fully during the Covid pandemic the team have setup online training instead. With such a friendly group of teachers and members I've no idea why you wouldn't want to join!

Fantastic experience: Friendly, professional martial arts dojo. Chris and the team are dedicated to their members... nothing is ever too much for them... and spend a lot of time and energy ensuring that everyone gets something really positive out of their training. Online classes during the lockdown have been absolutely fantastic and a brilliant way both to keep fit and to ensure that progress is maintained. As an older, relative newcomer to martial arts, I can say that I've been blown away by how friendly and welcoming everyone is and I'm so glad that I selected TMA as the place to begin my training. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Both my teenage sons get some great exercise, discipline and training through the sessions they attend. I feel it gives them skills to use in situations they may find challenging as young men.

Fantastic experience: This is great place to train in martial arts. Friendly staff and instructors, the building is purpose built for the art. The is floor is covered in soft matting also there is somewhere to put shoes and coats and other belongings. There is car park next door and only a minute away . There is a variety of different arts to choose from Karate . Tai chi . Chi gong . Fitness training. and special events such as workshops.

Fantastic experience: Just completed my first visit which involved back to back sessions of Freestyle Martial Arts and Krav Maga and felt compelled to write a review. Fantastic facilities and equipment, patient and friendly instructors, all the members I spoke with were approachable and helpful. If you are concerned it might be too intimidating to try a session then you shouldn't worry as this is the perfect club for you, all abilities are welcomed. Looking forward to becoming a member!

Fantastic experience: We would highly recommend Tring Martial Arts. Our son has been attending TMA for over four years. In that time, training with TMA has really helped to improve his confidence and focus but above all he has had lots of fun and made great progress through the belts. The facilities, including the purpose built Dojo, and equipment are fantastic and all of the instructors, Paula, Chris and the team, are really patient, friendly and welcoming. The centre is also exceptionally clean. There is a viewing area for parents to watch lessons and grab a coffee and there is car parking on site. Overall a fantastic martial arts centre. Great confidence building, fitness and lots of fun!

Fantastic experience: Tring Martial Arts Black Belt Academy is a Martial Arts school that I would recommend for anyone looking to get fit, lose weight and learn a great deal of practical self defence techniques around friendly likeminded individuals. TMA doesn't just help you to achieve your dream body and provide a chance to socialise, the classes incorporate a great deal of essential life skills, including: confidence and self esteem, public speaking, honesty, gratitude and personal discipline. I would recommend TMA for absolutely anyone, there is so much to gain from training Martial Arts but training in Tring Martial Arts Black Belt Academy is miles above the rest, especially those in the immediate area, there's no surprise that the academy has won numerous awards over the years. For anyone even remotely interested in Martial Arts, regardless of who you are, how fit you are there is so much to gain at TMA unlike other clubs who may not even make a effort to make you feel welcome. TMA really goes the extra mile. You'll wish you gave it a try months ago!
