Each UltraFlex is under development for several months and whilst it would have been easy just to slap some paint on the walls, get one manufacturer to sell us a package of all the leftover equipment and then pat ourselves on the back, we don’t do average, we are wanting to build a legacy, competing alongside some of the top gyms in the world and that can’t be done in a lunchtime.
Instead, we choose the hard route, to rebuild from the ground up, a 100% no holds barred fit out over 10-15,000 sq.ft, with brand new changing facilities, studio & treatment rooms and even our own barbershop. We then hand-pick the best equipment from the top independent manufacturers around the world, some of which are custom made, to ensure that our members have exactly what they need to achieve their goals. This is a total structural overhaul featuring brand new cardio, boxing and MMA.
We know how frustrating it can be to have to wait when you’re ready to train, so we have a huge volume of weights and cardio equipment, to ensure that there are multiple racks and machines for every body part, so that when it is busy, it doesn’t have to delay your session.
Whether you are an experienced strength athlete, or just starting out and want to lose weight or get in shape, then we have everything you need to get the most out of your workouts and match your effort with results. We are open to all, with a friendly and positive environment to make you feel welcome and part of the family. If you need a little push, or just want a new routine, we have a great team of experienced personal trainers at your disposal.

Fantastic experience: TOO MUCH EQUIPMENT! I was in town for work and stopped by, picking up a week’s pass and WOW, what a great gym. As someone who normally goes to a globo style gym, the big guys were a little bit intimidating at first and I wasn’t sure if I’d get the gym etiquette right, but I shouldn’t have worried, everyone was great and welcoming. There’s so much equipment, I never had to wait to use something. If I’m ever in Derby again, I’ll be sure to visit.
Fantastic experience: UltraFlex is easily one of the ultimate bodybuilding establishments in the UK. The atmosphere and experience are unmatched. When you enter, just like a kid in the playground, you're spoilt for choice by the extensive plethora of fun and exciting machinery. There are some very interesting Hoist machines that rock back and forth as you perform reps, which is an unusual yet fun experience. There's a very good range of machinery for all muscle groups, so you'll never have a stale workout, as it's easy to mix things up. A few issues with this gym are that the site is fairly compact. Therefore, the car park is small, and the numerous machines are cramped up inside. There is also no water fountain on the gym floor, but you're able to use the sink at the front. Moreover, UltraFlex is a lot more expensive than other equivalent bodybuilding gyms across the UK. When you go to UltraFlex, you know the gains are coming. Happy training!

Fantastic experience: Easily the most impressive, inspirational & motivating gym I’ve been to! It’s a top class gym attracting some pro athletes which train there too. It has an amazing atmosphere, staff are super friendly & the gym is immaculate. After just one session I instantly signed up, there is no other gym that does it like this!
Fantastic experience: Made for bodybuilders mostly but has great equipment for strong man and powerlifting. And the air conditioning and fans are brilliant if you find yourself getting hot when you workout. Cold plunge and sauna is in the changing rooms. Would have been nice to share the experience with the opposite sex. But brilliant kit.
Fantastic experience: 5 stars loads of equipment!! And room to park a HGV near by!! (Artic) (free parking after 6pm to 8am) Clean showers and good choice of drinks and food if you want it !! Only down side it’s £14 for a day pass but I get why as a lorry driver get day passes to a lot of gym (each day) this gym is definitely one of the best I’ve been too maybe do a HGV discount (key worker) either way when I’m working in the area I will be back

Positive experience: A huge selection of equipment, legs section is fantastic. So many machines to choose from. Only slight downside is the huge selection of tripods you have to navigate around to get anywhere . The powerlifting area is ok but it's definitely not a dedicated powerlifting gym. No squat bar or monolift which is a shame. Squat stands are a bit sketchy.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars than I’d rate them much higher, that’s what UltraFlex and all their staff/team deserve! UF has been the best place for me, mentally, physically and socially…all staff are very welcoming and will go above and beyond to accommodate their members!! Everywhere is so clean and tidy and the toilets are kept immaculate, the only gym I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many, where I’ve actually seen the toilets been cleaned! I’ve always hated showing at gyms as it doesn’t normally feel as clean as your home facilities, not at UF, the shows are kept clean and you can shower in hot water rather than luke-warm! Over all…I highly recommend this gym, so much so, it’s worth the travel as I do travel from Nottingham to Derby! My forever gym I also want to give a massive shout out to the owners: Charles and Jo, they’re both amazing people and not only do you see them around the gym, they get their hands dirty too by keeping up with cleaning, maintenance and often on shift themselves at UF! the whole staff team are amazing and welcoming to anybody at UF, which I feel is now a home!! If you haven’t already gone, go..so much to offer than just the gym service too! I could go on and on about UF but I’ll let you see the rest for yourselves! ENJOY

Positive experience: Awesome place, plenty of Parking, friendly staff and amazing equipment. However no water machine is disappointing as doht want to keep going to reception to ask the staff to fill it up and definitely needs AIR CON as the fans look cool but there no good really. If it got AIR CON I'd quit my gym and come there. Oh and £14 a day pass, bit steep guys!

Charles and Jo really set the bar high on the standards ensuring the gym is always immaculate and the vibe always positive. The place is exceptional, in every standard - Help, advise, motivation, free weights, machines, boxing, MMA, it’s got it all. No stupid cards to remember - entry is with your fingerprint all with flexible membership options. The changing rooms are brilliant with fancy electronic locks so no keys. Just drop you stuff and get pumping! I’ve changed for the better and can’t wait to see what this place brings out in me. Even after 30 years- this place is fresh.
