Fantastic experience: The training and nutrition expertise at Roar is genuinely first class. Having signed up for a 12-week block with my trainer, Charlie, I’ve seen my strength increase, weight drop and overall training/nutrition knowledge increase ten-fold. Charlie is amazing as a PT - knows how to push me to get the best out of every session, and the overall experience has been so worthwhile in terms of an investment in my health, I’ve signed up for a further 8-week block. Fantastic experience: Luke is an amazing trainer and coach, and has a very nice manner. Thanks to him I’ve managed to lose almost 6 kilos over 7 weeks and increase my activity levels and motivation considerably. The best thing about ROAR is probably the weekly online check in and video review by your coach. It’s the sense of being accountable that helps the most, I feel. Obviously I love London, I started out a baby Londoner, so this connection to England is precious. I’m grateful I’m able to live and train overseas while still receiving the amount of support and guidance that I need. I would also recommend it to anyone who lives locally but is less able to commute for some reason or just likes the added flexibility of using an online training program. In the past I sometimes felt pressure about having to show up at the gym at a certain time, so this makes it a lot easier. Thank you again, Luke and ROAR.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Roar to anyone considering personal training. Having never spent any time in the gym I was unsure what to expect but after 12 weeks I can confidently say it is more than worth it. Fantastic service and lovely people. If you get a chance to train with Craig you will be in luck. Very knowledgable and friendly, absolutely 10/10 service and he will get you the results you are looking for!

Fantastic experience: I joined Roar and was paired up with Charlie in May and it’s safe to say I’ve not looked back! Charlie does not mess around and the progression I have had since May is way more than I could have imagined! At 45 I am lifting the heaviest weights of my life and feel as mentally and physically strong as I ever have in my life and I am certain Charlie is not done as he pushes me to attain PBs every week but in a really supportive and empowering way! Fantastic experience: My experience at Roar was an easy 10/10. I trained with Jack who impressively managed to balance making sessions difficult but very enjoyable. I feel I benefited most from Jacks comprehensive explanations about different training techniques, approaches to body conditioning and nutritional advice . It allowed me to understand what, why and how I was training, which will stay with me. Jack also paid close attention to a past injury I had and addressed this from the beginning in my training plan, but also regularly throughout my programme, making tweaks where necessary. I look forward to extending and 100% recommend Roar to anybody at any stage of their fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: There are many things to love about ROAR. 1. The effectiveness of the programme - training, nutrition, support - you do see results within the first 3 weeks!! With a dedicated personal trainer and an assigned nutrition coach, you will be right on track to whatever goal you set out to achieve. You do walk away after each session feeling healthier, fitter, more agile and refreshed. 2. The genuine care and dedication of the coaches. - Marco, my personal trainer, is nurturing and supportive. He strikes a good balance between caring for your wellbeing and stretching you further to build capacity and capability. He takes the time to explain what the exercise is for and what you are working towards, ensures you keep the form, and motivates you throughout the challenging exercises. - Matt, the nutrition coach assigned to me, will work closely with you to understand and work towards your goals, recommends the nutrition plan, checks in on your adjustment to it. He is both a patient and encouraging person! 3. The bonus is the community spirit within ROAR. You feel the energy, the warmth, the friendliness of everyone in the space. There is a sense of connectedness. Overall, I strongly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I have just completed an 8 week programme at ROAR and am so happy I made that decision a couple months back - I have seen great progress but more importantly, I have started to enjoy strength training again and that is all thanks to my PT - Charlie Inkpen. Charlie introduced me to a variety of new exercises, perfected my form, and helped me set a structured approach to the gym. He also tracked my progress closely, celebrating even the smallest wins, like an extra rep on a weight. His constant support was incredibly motivating - I never thought I’d enjoy a 6:30am session so much! Also huge thanks to my nutritionist Matt who helped me approach weight loss in a sustainable way while tracking macros and ensuring I was educated on how best to fuel myself while in a calorie deficit.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic 12 weeks. Lots of sweat and pain but so so worth. My trainer Jack was absolutely fantastic throughout. Very knowledgeable and able to adapt the program throughout. Gets the best out of you in every session and you leave knowing you’ve worked hard every time. With Matt leading the way in nutrition sessions you learn exactly what healthy eating is all about with the end goals clearly defined. Fantastic experience: When it comes to training, Roar is the best. Jack is the best PT I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few. I actually think he might be the best personal trainer in the world? After doing my initial 12 weeks I wanted to continue training with him even though since starting I’ve qualified as a personal trainer myself. He’s that’s great. No bars.

Fantastic experience: I started training at Roar back in June, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health and performance. My initial goal was to improve my running performance (which requires a lot of strength!) and to lose a bit of weight. My PT, Gedas, really pushed me to do way more than that! He is very demanding (as a PT should be) but supportive and takes care to attend to performance and technique to make sure you’re making progress. He always expects just a little bit more of you - and that’s what really makes a huge difference! I certainly learned a lot. Matt has been incredibly helpful, changing how I think about food, encouraging progress and answering lots of questions about food on the go. Really glad to have made the choice to train with Roar and hope to come back someday to work with their wonderful team.

Fantastic experience: For the longest time, I really believed that a sustainable fitness regime was not part of my DNA. After reaching the 'I've had enough' point one more time, I searched gyms in my area, and Roar popped up. I made an appointment immediately, after looking through a ton of transformation testimonials and figuring that I was either going to lose weight or money. I was paired with Charlie Inkpen. This guy - this legend - has stood by my side (or sometimes behind me) throughout 12 weeks of training, taught me how to complete exercises I'd never done before, motivated me on days I just didn't have the energy, and all the while, supported me in achieving things I never thought were possible. Charlie takes the time to talk about form, posture and timings of movement; he has patience when I'm asking questions about why an exercise is done in a certain way, or how my grip should be; but also, he listens - I have recurring knee and lower back injuries - and Charlie ensures that I complete movements that benefit and strengthen those areas without causing any further pain. He strikes exactly the right balance between pushing ahead for progress with not rushing. Matt has been invaluable with nutrition support. It's a bit daunting to get callipered; however once you're past the strangeness of having random parts of your body pinched, its highly motivating to see how your body is responding to the training program. Even on weeks where you think you've made zero progress, or you're going backwards, you can see progress clearly. Matt is pragmatic and approachable - he regularly makes time if you have questions outside of the check-ins, and whilst 100% nutrition compliance is preferred, he takes a practical approach to goal setting and how nutrition supports this. When I hadn't managed to achieve certain components of the plan (steps during the day continue to elude me) Matt was on hand to guide me with practical advice but also accountability. At the outset of my Roar experience, I truly thought I would start strong, get bored and wuss out around the halfway mark. Instead, due to the awesomeness of Charlie and Matt, not only did I finish the 12 weeks, I immediately signed up for 12 more weeks - it didn't even cross my mind that this was the end for me. I am BEYOND excited to see what we can achieve together going forward.

The strong get stronger, and it sounds like a dream team with yourself, Charlie and Matt all working towards your goals. Fantastic experience: I've been back at ROAR for 4 weeks now. I've decided to extend my sessions beyond the initial 8-week programme. Ben Roworth is my personal trainer, and Matt is my nutrition coach. Ben possesses an impressive depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for fitness. Ben is great—his personable approach knows exactly what I need to help kickstart and reignite my interest in my fitness journey again. Ben has a good balance between pushing me to my limits and being patient while old muscle memory kicks in. Overall I would highly recommend Ben. Fantastic experience: I feel very happy to have discovered ROAR, all thanks to the DailyMail and their very impressive before-and-after story. One month in, I’m feeling very grateful to have shed four kilos already. I’ve also experienced a noticeable psychological shift in the right direction towards working out. Luke is an excellent coach who genuinely reviews what his trainees share to offer honest and practical feedback. For someone like me who lives overseas, the ability to access ROAR virtually is a huge blessing. I really appreciate the flexibility that this program offers me. Using a variety of methods such as photos, step counts, tape measurements and weight to track progress is enjoyable and sensible, as seeing is believing. Fantastic experience: Roar and their body transformation programme has been revolutionary for me. For someone who barely exercised, never did any weight resistance / strength training, this has been a huge revelation. I started the programme with trepidation and was honest at the outset about my fear and worry that it would be all too much for someone like me. This programme is brought to life three times a week with Craig, who has been marvellous on soooo many levels. I have gone from being a person who dreaded any kind of exercise to looking forward to my personal trainer sessions with Craig. I travel a lot with my work and Craig has put together bespoke training based on what equipment I have access to at hotel gyms, or even if it’s just my resistance band in my suitcase. I also look forward to getting my steps in and because Craig looks at the app data and mentions it, it’s motivating to hit those goals daily. This may seem like a minor thing, but it’s massive because it means I remain motivated outside the gym session to hit other cardio goals on my Roar programme. I love the way the personal training is structured, the accountability, the challenge and how Craig always checks in with every set and has this encouraging and empowering manner that I feel, “I can do this!” And that’s with every single session. This review would be incomplete if I didn’t mention my fab nutritionist, Matt. Every 21 days we have our review and out come the callipers! I am a nerd, so I can’t wait to see the data and the graphs. I value the conversation and having someone I can email and ask questions. This access is quite remarkable. I love the simplicity of the nutrition plan, it’s coherent, well structured and sets the guardrails for a balanced diet to support all the exercise. Roar is incredible. Fantastic experience: I’ve had an amazing experience at Roar city and it has really helped me find my mojo and joy for movement again. The gym is lovely and friendly and swish. Charlie Inkpen has been a great PT, I have not had a day of pain and I’ve been getting stronger and stronger, finding the definition I was looking for and enjoying my workouts (and I am not the gym type). Matt Lindsay was my nutrition coach and he has been great and I’ve found a great way to change some things that weren’t working for me any more and completely change my body composition in 12 weeks. Fantastic experience: After a long period of deliberation I signed up with Roar and have recently completed my 12 week programme. The idea was to shed a few kilos and gain some fitness ahead of an upcoming cycling trip. Mission accomplished on this front, but Charlie (my fab trainer) and Matt (nutrition guru) were never going to let me rest on my laurels and I ended up achieving far more than I dared to think possible. Charlie was amazing at giving me the confidence that I could push further by squeezing out another few reps or increasing the weight a bit, always from a place of positivity and encouragement. He was great at explaining why we were doing particular exercises, or the significance of even minor adjustments to form. So hitting the gym independently when away from London was something I felt I could do comfortably and (something I never thought I would say) enjoyably. And I can vouch for the fact that these effects continue even after the programme finished! I’ve at least doubled the weight I was doing on each exercise at the start of the programme, and lost a load of kilos while building muscle. More importantly for me, I’ve gained the confidence that I can make real improvements in fitness and health, together with the knowledge and understanding that will equip me to do it. I suspect I’ll be back with Charlie and Matt after my cycle trip; not because I’m seeking a specific result (yet!) but because I know they will keep me mentally and physically strong and confident. I can think of no better outcome. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: I just finished a 12-week programme with Craig as my trainer and Matt on nutrition. I'm not going to lie, the first 2 weeks were hard, adapting my diet and getting used to lifting weights. But I'm so happy I did it! I feel more fit, more educated on nutrition and knowing how to fuel my body and still enjoy the occasional social outing with friends in between. With this guidance, I'm ready to tackle the next part to shred the last few pounds. And an extra shoutout to Craig, the best trainer I have ever worked with. Always with a smile, which makes it hard to hate him even though you want to when he makes you do a heavy sled push or says '3 more reps' after you finish the initial number...

Fantastic experience: I’ve finished both a 12 week followed by an 8 week programme with Luke and Matt. I was really impressed with the support and professionalism shown by everyone on the Roar team. Luke in particular was excellent through and really pushed me to achieve my goals and gave me constant encouragement throughout. Each hour really flew by and definitely felt like I made great progress over my time. Could not recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Did a 12 week transformation, one of the best things I've ever done. The change in my physique and mental health has been amazing. The team at Roar has been wonderfully supportive and greatly knowledgeable, their support and encouragement has been priceless. I worked with Gedas who was the perfect coach match from me. He was driven and helped me go beyond where I wanted to stop. I've achieved multiple personal bests under his guidance. Every workout was perfectly planned for my needs by Gedas and I couldn't have wished for a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Believe the hype - ROAR works!!! In 12 weeks I have transformed my shape, strength and eating habits. Having weekly accountability made a real difference to me - I didn’t miss workouts as I couldn’t face seeing a missed workout in the app . My online coach Luke has been fantastic- supporting every step and helping to adapt when work travel and life events got in the way. I lost 6kg in 12 weeks but more importantly I have lost inches, built amazing strength and are the happiest I have ever been with myself. I know the art of possible and the journey has just started. If you are thinking about starting a ROAR programme just do it - it will transform your body and your mind.

Fantastic experience: I recently finished my first 12 weeks of training at Roar and I just wish I did it before. I feel better and fitter now in my early 40s than when I used to go to the gym 5 times per week in my 20s! I have been training with Marco who has been absolutely brilliant, encouraging me to do more and better every time and all with great humour! Fantastic support from Luke on nutrition, I look leaner and don't feel tired like I used to. If you are reading this review and contemplating if you should train at Roar - just do it, you will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just finished a 12 week programme at Roar and have had such an incredible experience inside the gym and out. I went to Roar after taking 4 months off from my normal fitness routine while I was travelling. Wanting to get back on track, build a new routine and get back to my optimal shape both physically & mentally, Roar was the best investment I’ve made in myself. I’ve been training with Marco who has been absolutely incredible and exactly what I needed to hold me accountable and help me achieve my goals- he managed to make even the most brutal sessions so much fun (a completely unexpected positive but I had so much fun!). Fantastic experience: Best investment I’ve ever made - after not being able to do much due to injuries and not eating too good post Covid, I now have the confidence to get back in a gym and know exactly what I’m doing thanks to Craig and Matt. Craig is a brilliant PT! He never disappointed and always delivered a subtle increase in weights with a smile irrespective of the sarcasm he received Matt was always on point to help with nutritional guidance and ideas when I was getting bored , coming up with different foods for thought to keep me focussed. The only regret is that I just wish I’d done this sooner and really look forward to coming back again soon!

Fantastic experience: I debated for a long time whether to sign up for Roar, even after several friends had amazing experiences with glowing reviews, I thought I could get back in shape on my own... but after a year+ of trying everything from classes to counting calories on myfitnesspal to signing up for running races, the weight was just not shifting, clothes weren't fitting and I felt more unfit than ever. I finally made the decision to go for Roar and it was honestly the best thing I could I have done. In less than 2 months I was able to do what I hadn't been able to do for years - drop several kilos, fit back into my pre-pandemic clothes, and feel stronger and more toned than ever. A certain high-intensity class I used to do that felt like the hardest workout ever before... now felt easy, and the satisfaction from that achievement was incredible. I hadn't ever properly weight trained before and always thought that if I wasn't absolutely exhausted after a HIIT class I hadn't worked hard enough and wouldn't see results - but this just left me tired, burned out and hungry. Training at Roar has shown me the power of consistent, progressive training that doesn't leave my burned out but gives real results, and I really have Charlie to thank for that - his patience, encouragement, and deep technical knowledge was what I needed to not only gain confidence lifting weights but frankly enjoy it more than any other workout. Not only am I surprised by what I can lift, but the Roar sessions are a much needed and welcome mental break from a demanding job and leave me in a better headspace to go back to work. Charlie goes out of his way to ensure I can fit in sessions around an intense work schedule (where my time is mostly not my own) and really understands how and when I need to be pushed to get that new PB. Similarly Matt for nutrition doles out guidance at our check-ins in a way that leaves me encouraged, never hungry, nourished and ready for my sessions, and critically - seeing results. When I first joined Roar I was mostly focused on the outcome, the completion of the transformation, but I have to say, the best part so far has been the journey itself. Fantastic experience: Joining roar was the best decision I've ever made. The 12 programme has not only overhauled my body, but also lead me to make positive changes in my lifestyle and outlook on health and fitness. I had never set foot in a gym before joining Roar, I was nervous and thought I would be limited by my disability, but my trainer Ben has proved me wrong! Ben is incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, he pushes me to achieve each week and I'm so happy with the results. Fantastic experience: I've been going to Roar for around 3 months now, changing trainers to Gus due to the prior trainer leaving. Gus ensured that the change did not interrupt my programme and made it a seamless switch, as I was nervous having to build a relationship with another trainer during the sessions. It's been hard (as expected), but Gus has been super supportive, encouraging and knowledgable during each session. Ensuring that my posture and movements are always correct to maximise each exercise I do. Not only that but he's made the environment so welcoming and fun! I don't see exercising as a chore anymore because I'm always looking forward to chatting with him with each session. Luke (my nutritionist) has also kept me updated with my progress and accountability every few weeks, which helps me understand the certain things I need to look out for or change to get the most out of the programme. My health has become milestones better and I've gained more confidence with not only my body, but lifestyle choices within food. Roar has been the best investment I've done so far!

With Matt guiding me on diet and Ben Roworth running the workouts I'm 11 kg lighter and replaced my old 36 inch jeans for some sexy slender 32's!! Fantastic experience: Before joining ROAR, I found myself reading these reviews, debating the merits of a personal trainer versus taking a more do-it-yourself fitness path. I hesitated for a year—a decision I now regret. That year could have been transformational; instead, it was marked by more inactivity, poor diets, and too more beers. My only regret is not starting with ROAR sooner. Enter Jack Barton—my trainer and part-time magician. Jack has been instrumental in transforming my once jelly-like physique into one I now unashamedly admire in the mirror. Jack quickly understood my character and recognized that I respond best to a firm yet encouraging approach. Jack excels at identifying the mental blocks I often confuse for physical limits, providing the precise right motivation to push past them. He has deepened my understanding of the mechanics and science behind the routines and exercises we do and has also adapted my program to navigate subtle injuries and poor habits I had unknowingly developed over the years. All in all, my sessions with Jack are a masterclass in realizing my potential. Alongside Jack, Luke has been the cornerstone in guiding my nutrition. Luke has been very helpful in understanding where I can and can’t compromise with my nutrition. I now feel equipped and comfortable tackling the difficult balance of convenience vs. nutrition. Fantastic experience: I started a 12 week training program back in February and I am very sad to say that I now only have two weeks left of training at Roar City. I was initially very apprehensive about starting such an intensive fitness regime, especially given the financial commitment and also due to the fact that I had worked with other personal trainers in the past with mixed success. However, after about a year of deliberating, I eventually plucked up the courage and signed on the dotted line, and I can honestly say that joining Roar City is probably one of the best decisions that I have ever made. From the outset, everyone in the team has acted with the utmost professionalism and made me feel extremely welcome. My experience is that Roar City is a place for everyone, irrespective of shape, size or fitness, which was obvious from the moment that I first stepped through the doors of the gym and saw people of all abilities working out. During my initial assessment with Roar's nutrition oracle, Matt, we discussed my fitness objectives and how to factor in my recurring back injury and upcoming holiday plans into my training schedule, which had been a big concern of mine ahead of starting the program. However, Matt came up with a fantastic tailor-made plan and provided lots of useful tips and guidance on how to stay fit and focussed on my diet whilst on holiday. I was then extremely fortunate to be assigned Craig Laurencin as my personal trainer. Craig is easily, and without question, the best personal trainer that I have ever worked with. He is exceptionally knowledgeable of all things fitness related, and his constant words of encouragement and attentiveness have motivated me to push myself to my limits throughout the whole program. Craig has also taken the time to fully understand the extent to which my back problem can cause me issues whilst training, and repeatedly takes time to make sure that I am okay during our sessions. To top it all off, he is a thoroughly nice person to train with, makes training fun and is a major asset to Roar. When I first started I was really worried that 12 weeks of intense training and dieting would feel like a lifetime. However, in reality I have really enjoyed the program and the time has just flown by. More importantly, I have lost more weight and built more muscle than I had thought possible over 12 weeks, and I very much look forward to a point in the future when I can come back and do it all again! In summary, the Roar experience is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who is motivated and committed to making a significant and lasting change to the way that they think about fitness and nutrition. Just remember to ask for Craig when you sign up!

Fantastic experience: This was a completely new experience for me and Gus, my trainer, has made a very daunting experience really reassuring and I have grown in confidence. The results so far have been exciting and I am really enjoying training - which I never anticipated would be the outcome. I recommend Gus, not just because he is great at relaxing the nervous gym-goer but because he is really effective in what he does and the results speak for themselves.

Fantastic experience: Working with Luke Grahame. Asked for program to improve cycling performance. Within 2 months, 5 min power, 20 min power up over 15% on ramp test. Set fastest 30,50 and 100km times on bike, 4 mins off 100km time. Weight consistent, I'm just outputting more. Sessions are brutal, but motivated to get through them as the results are factual, not just "if feel better" or "I look better", although my arms are bigger, too.

Fantastic experience: I have the pleasure of working with Ben as my personal trainer and Matt as my nutritionist, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. They took the time to understand my fitness level, goals, and any limitations I had, and tailored a personalised workout plan that pushed me to my limits while still being mindful of my capabilities. Ben has been great in helping me push myself on the gym floor. I've seen remarkable progress in my strength, endurance, and physical appearance, something I never really achieved on a huge scale when training on my own for years. I am now lifting weights I never thought possible and feel more confident to strength train on my own. His attention to detail is evident, and he constantly provides encouragement and support through our sessions, but also coaches me on technique and the purpose of all exercises. Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at roar for 3 months now and it has been the best investment in me I’ve ever made. I’d fallen off the gym wagon after I got married and wanted to feel confident going back. Roar has far surpassed my expectations in succeeding in this - the programme was personalised to me and within a few weeks I felt stronger and so much happier in myself again. The team at roar are excellent - and having both the nutrition and training has been a game changer for me as ensures I remain accountable. Jake (my PT) has been awesome - really supportive, pushes me when needed and is always fun to chat too, which makes the hour fly. He ensures I leave each session feeling like I have made progress. Fantastic experience: I’ve just completed my twelve week programme at Roar, and really enjoyed it. I came into it hating exercise and thinking I was going to dread each session, but now I’m really motivated to continue weight lifting which I find very fun! I had a change of trainers, but Roar were great about this and assigned me to Tom. I can’t praise him enough. He was extremely friendly and professional and I was able to make a lot of progress in a short space of time. I’m definitely confident going into weight lifting by myself now. I would say to anyone who is curious about weight training and who wants to learn from the best should check out Roar : they really give you a very solid foundation in everything and push you to do your very best.

Fantastic experience: I have worked with several personal trainers over the years but this is the first time that I feel I have the support of a team that can hold me accountable and help me achieve my goals. Matt is helping educate me about nutrition and in re-establishing a healthy relationship with food. My trainer Jack has been absolutely incredible! He has a lot of patience and is always positive and motivational. He pushes me outside of my comfort zone every session and I am really pleased with the progress we have made in just over 6 weeks. Fantastic experience: Having had little gym experience prior to joining Roar and with the aim of building muscle, I am already seeing results five weeks/halfway into my programme (bi-weekly) and I am seriously impressed with my trainer Jack and his ability to teach each exercise with the correct form and push me to my max, as well as generally being a great guy! Fantastic experience: I started training at Roar in December 2023 and, after 20+ training sessions spread across 3 months, I am now close to hitting my target weight and am noticeably leaner. Starting from scratch, coach Ben R incrementally improved my form, strength and stamina session-by-session without it ever feeling impossible or too exhausting. Fantastic experience: I have been training with Matt at ROAR for the last four months and I could not recommend a better trainer to start off one’s fitness journey. Fantastic experience: I am currently training with Luke, via online means. Best investment I've made in a long time. Brilliant work out programming that fits seamlessly into my schedule, flexibility with the food plan even if it involves calorie counting, and above all accountability. After years of seeing no physical results, it has been extremely motivating to see the hard work paying off for once. I have another month to go with the program and intend to sign up again for another 3 months to continue the results.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Jack Barton now since the middle of Jan and am just over a 3rd of the way into my program. I am delighted I signed up and very happy that Jack is my trainer. There is no doubt that the first few weeks were brutal and were a big shock to my body! Fantastic experience: Could not recommend the Roar experience more! I came in as someone already quite fit, but I was a cardio warrior and had fairly low skills (and confidence) around strength training. That all changed after working with Jack, my trainer, who coached me not only on the core skills but also the principles and foundations to crush a progressive overload plan. Jack also really listened to what my goals were and tailored the programme to my starting line, too. Mostly importantly, he made every session fun, especially for my low-energy ones where I had to dig deep to crank out.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Gus at Roar City for over 8 weeks and the experience was transformational both physically and mentally. Fantastic experience: I've been training at Roar with Gus for around five months now and it has been amazing. I had exercised fairly regularly before, but never had any particular structure to my training. With Gus's help I feel like I've been able to progress week on week, and have lifted weights far beyond what I would have thought possible on my own. He's really helped me with form and technique, is super energetic, supportive and fun to chat to (which makes the hour go by really quickly!) It's definitely an investment, but having an hour to focus on training 3 times a week has made a big difference to my physical health, my strength and my mental health!

Fantastic experience: I considered joining up to Roar for about a year before I actually did. I wish I hadn't delayed! I saw all the transformations but thought, 'that couldn't possibly be me', having struggled to get the weight off for the last few years. Not so much trouble putting it on though! From the moment I stepped into Roar, there was a different vibe, not like other gyms I have been members of. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming - the front of house team learnt my name after just one visit - sounds like a small thing but it makes a difference. The PTs are all great and say hello even if they're not training you and the other gym members are just as friendly. I have been a member for 5 weeks and in that time I have lost 4kg and 2 dress sizes. I have gained muscle, confidence, determination and a generally happier, healthier mind and body. I cannot thank Vik, my PT, enough for all he has done in the 5 weeks I have been training with him. Vik always pushes me to do things I never thought my body was capable of and I'm feeling muscles I never knew I had! He isn't like other PTs - he doesn't let me give up when I say I can't do any more because he knows I can; yet he also knows when I've reached my limits (which he always pushes me to). Not only is he friendly, encouraging and supportive, he massively knows his stuff! It's not just about doing an exercise, he explains why I'm doing it, what part of the body it's helping, how to do it properly and the results speak for themselves. Luke is in charge of my nutrition and he has been amazing too. It's not just a case of 'stick to this plan and you'll lose weight', Luke explained exactly why I wasn't losing weight before and the reasons for the menu choices I've been given. I'm currently on 1350 calories per day and I don't even feel hungry - I feel great! I can't wait to continue on my journey and see where it ends. If you're thinking of joining, just do it, you won't regret it. You're making a meaningful investment in yourself and your future. If you're really lucky, you might even get Vik as your PT!

Fantastic experience: I’ve signed up to two programmes with ROAR, both with female trainers Rachel and now Ella. I’ve found the focus on weights and strength exactly what I’ve needed in my forties as I look to lose weight, tone and sculpt. I’ve enjoyed my sessions with Ella as she adapts the programme to suit my needs. She always pushes me exactly when I would ordinarily give up, so my body and my mind thank her.

Both of whom have been incredibly supportive and have pushed me further than I could have ever gone alone. I've lost over 13KG and feel stronger and fitter than ever. Gedas is a really knowledgable, precise and focussed PT. I always come away from my sessions having learnt something new about how and why different exercises and techniques work, which has built my confidence when it comes to doing self-directed weight training alongside the PT sessions. Beyond the weight training, Gedas is also very proficient with regards to stretching and recovery, and incorporates some stretching work into sessions which has made a big difference to my mobility. I'd definitely recommend Roar, especially if you're looking for an effective way to give yourself a kick and improve your fitness and wellbeing.

Fantastic experience: I started earlier this year on a 3 month programme (3x a week) with my trainer at Roar, Daniel Boyce. Working with Daniel has yielded great results, and has been a real pleasure. Aside from tailoring a great regime for me personally, he is extremely flexible and adaptable in terms of working with my routine which can vary a great deal from week to week. Besides this, the gym is clean and lovely to use, the location (Bank) is extremely convenient, and the whole business is smooth and efficiently run. I have no hesitation in recommending Roar and Dan, and look forward to continuing with them in the future!

Fantastic experience: I signed up to Roar on the recommendation of a friend - I was incredibly nervous being someone who has never been able to commit to a regular exercise routine despite having PTs previously. I was incredibly lucky to be paired up with Ella who is absolutely phenomenal - Ive now kept to a proper routine for over three months now and it is entirely down to her. Fantastic experience: I joined Roar back in April after deciding I need and change to my fitness routine. I have done various levels of training over the last 25 year from Martial Arts to Ironman at a competitive level. After years of wear and tear my body wasn't in the best condition.....I could pick up the smallest injury just from doing a body weight squat. This was one of the reasons for looking at strength training however at the same time this was a huge concern as I thought I would get injured very quickly. Thankfully I couldn't have been more wrong! From the first meeting with Luke Grahame he understood my concerns and was able to put me at ease straight away, which was no small feat considering the amount of injuries and niggles I have had. What's been even more reassuring is since day one of training with Luke he has always been mindful of the injuries I’ve had in the past, and not forgot one of them. Even to the point that he makes sure I don't push too hard even if I want too. Since training with Luke, not only has my physical appearance changed I feel so much better and stronger. I no longer feel like I’m falling apart and now have a lot more confidence again when doing any form of exercise. I could not recommend Luke and the Roar Family enough, not only if you want to transform but improve your overall health, strength, and conditioning.

Fantastic experience: I had been thinking about signing up to ROAR for a while before I finally pressed go and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, first of all the team are all so lovely & welcoming, it’s honestly a joy going in each week and seeing everyone. Obviously I was nervous to start with but very quickly my weekly ROAR sessions started to become the highlight of my week. To be honest in the past I’ve found gyms super intimidating & not been confident in that sort of space but ROAR is completely different. The one on one sessions mean you remain super focussed throughout each session and the gym never gets too busy; my trainer Jay was amazing - he encouraged and pushed me every session but I always felt completely safe & supported, it wasn’t long before my confidence started to grown and each week I was able to push myself that bit further. The program is great and combined with the nutritional advice it can be seen as a bit of a lifestyle overhaul however I’ve never felt better, stronger & fitter & definitely feel more confident weight training on my own in the future. Thank you ROAR, you guys are the best & I’ll miss you so much.

Fantastic experience: I signed up to Roar a few months ago and would highly recommend the experience! I have worked with Personal Trainers in the past, and I have to say that Ben is excellent. He is knowledgable, friendly, and patient, and keeps workouts interesting by changing up the routine frequently. I also meet Tom every few weeks for nutritional assessments, which have been very useful to supplement my training with custom feedback and advice. Since starting two months ago, I have noticed great improvement in my strength and weightlifting technique. I also fear “the prowler” and “death circuits” a lot less now (still collapse during / afterwards though). Looking forward to continuing the programme at Roar, (surviving), and seeing the final results!

Fantastic experience: I joined Roar after Easter with a big birthday ahead of me, a busy job, kids at home and lots of juggling. 4 months later I'd lost lots of weight (15 kilos) and felt so much better in myself! Gedas, has been a great trainer, keeps me focused and lots of fun, really adaptable and been a huge motivation. I couldn't have done it without him! Matt was great with the nutrition advice as well. The gym is never too busy with lots of new equipment. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic experience: I’m into my 5th week at Roar, having thought about signing up for over a year! I can honestly say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made! Gyms can be super intimidating… so Day 1 was a bit like going on a blind date, with a load of trepidation thrown in! However, my trainer Vik soon made me feel at ease … and with his humour and knowledge of when to push and when to adjust the routine, we’ve now got into a great rhythm! It’s been great working with Vik … despite me wanting to occasionally punch him and definitely swear a lot! He’s an awesome trainer! The whole team are very welcoming and it’s great that everyone is there working with their PT! This has been the perfect thing to get back into a healthy routine, I look forward to my sessions and feel great afterwards! The biggest impact has been on my mental health and happiness, the physical benefits are an added bonus! Looking forward to continuing my ROAR journey!!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone needs a PT like Ella! She has in-depth knowledge, coupled with an amazing attitude and I always look forward to training with her. I genuinely feel super boosted physically and mentally after every session. In a short time with her I’ve learnt so much and made demonstrable progress in areas where I’d been plateauing previously. She pays close care and attention to my individual training needs, so I can really trust in her support. She won’t let me slack, but knows just how hard to push as well. Fantastic experience: I started training with Luke at Roar Fitnesses using the online program. My wife suggested I try working with Luke after she had seen fantastic results in just 12 weeks. I wasn't looking for a quick fix but steady sustainable progress and some life changing habits. I am on week 16 of a 24 week two phase program and am making huge amounts of progress, adjusting the weight training program, adjusting nutrition based on the feedback I send in. It's great to be accountable it gives you that little bit of nudge to do the right thing during the week when you are a bit tired. As a result of the advice that Luke gives me I have developed better nutrition, hydration and exercise habits. I have managed to build muscle, get leaner and drastically reduce my waistline. If you want to make a positive change in your life, try Roar Fitness, it will make a difference if you put the work in and follow the advice to stay injury free and build healthy habits.

Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Roar, with Craig as my trainer and Matt for nutrition. It was genuinely life changing. I'd never lifted weights before joining, so went in with a fair amount of trepidation. I needn't worry though, as Roar welcomes people of all abilities. What I found was a really diverse, safe place to train, completely devoid of egos and judgement. If I could train with Craig forever, I genuinely would. He's once of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting, but knows when to push me ande hold me accountable. It's impossible to hate him... even on leg days. I've got some injuries that I need to manage, and he never fails to check on how I'm feeling, tailoring my program to ensure I don't injure myself. Matt has also given me great advice on how to adjust my diet to get the best out of my training. Nutrition is a massive part of this process, and he's always available to steer me in the right direction. As for the gym itself, it's great. Lovely staff at reception. Clean showers and changeroom. All the equipment you need, and because it's a PT-only gym you're rarely waiting for your turn. It takes a lot of willpower to make such a big lifestyle change, but with Craig and Matt on board I was set up for success from the very moment I signed up.

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best experience ever! I initially signed up for 8 weeks and was skeptical. I've been pretty fit all my life and went to F45, Barrys, 1Rebel etc pretty regularly. My first session humbled me (in a good way!). Jay has been great - answered all of my dumb questions and I've seen great progress. I've lost over 10kg in 12 weeks which is crazy. I'm now on one session a week and it's intense but effective! Would definitely recommend Roar and Jay in particular.

Fantastic experience: I signed up with Roar in May and worked with Ben Keith-Young (Trainer) and Matt Lindsay (Nutrition) over the past six months and they were phenomenal. It was hard work and Ben Keith-Young was a superb trainer whose professionalism, experience and motivation were incredible. I’ll likely be back for more punishment next summer!

Fantastic experience: I took the plunge and joined Roar after 7 years of inactivity and a huge weight gain. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. In the space of 7 weeks I’ve lost 16kg, dropped a couple of clothes sizes and feel far more flexible and energetic. A huge amount of credit goes to the PT was paired with, Vik. I couldn’t have asked for a better PT match. He’s supportive and knowledgable. He manages to get continual improvement, and friendly at the same time. The gym is designed to ensure there’s never too many people and everyone is constantly making the most of sessions. Luke provided a nutrition plan which alongside the training and exercise, can be faulted. Despite the calorie deficit, I rarely feel hungry, and the vitamin package ensures optimal recover and performance. A 5* experience.

Fantastic experience: my roar journey in 5 bullet points - never trained in such lovely surroundings with good atmosphere and great equipment - hugely enjoyed training with Gus who makes up for his poor taste in music with great knowledge about all things training related - enjoyed talking to Tom about nutrition and even more about the theatre - lost 15kgs and learnt a new term "popping" - something to do with seeing your actual muscles when you lose weight! - enjoyed training at Roar so much that i signed up for more!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Roar City branch for just over four months - initially signing up for 3 months, but extending my sessions for a further two months due to the brilliant results achieved. I was lucky to be placed with Jay as my PT who has been a fantastic, insightful and motivating trainer. He has known when to push to get the results that I was looking for, while listening to specific concerns that I may have had. During the past 4 months, Jay has been reliable, is always on time and has ensured that we have had a clear plan to work to. Jay has ensured that I have got the most out of every session - so much so that I have lost 11kg, improved my nutrition, and reduced some of the bad habits that had accumulated over many years. When on the gym floor, Jay is considerate of his colleagues and their clients. He is diligent about leaving the equipment in a fit state and ready for use by others. The gym at Roar City branch is well equipped with a relaxed but focused atmosphere. I wouldn’t want to train with anyone else!

Fantastic experience: I started at Roar a few weeks ago and cannot recommend it enough. For someone with very little experience and a busy working life, it has been the perfect introduction to getting fit and lifting weights with flexibility on timings. The results so far have been great - shout out to Jack who is a great PT, very motivational, and patient given my lack of experience (I highly recommend him). Matt has also been really helpful on the nutrition side, and I’ve never eaten healthier/better. The gym itself is never busy, all the equipment feels brand new, and has everything you could need. Best investment I’ve made for my fitness!

Fantastic experience: I started training with Ben at Roar in September and have been delighted with my progress so far. I’ve received tremendous support from him during, and outside of, our PT sessions and his encouragement has definitely helped me achieve more than I thought would be possible in this time. I feel challenged, but never defeated, as Ben knows when to push me and when to give me some breathing room. In addition to Ben, my nutritionist Luke has also been incredibly helpful, offering me advice and helping me to find solutions to dietary challenges that arise. The positivity at Roar is great and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying their journey. For anyone who is considering joining, I would wholeheartedly recommend signing up, the investment in yourself is worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I started at Roar earlier this year, having never trained with weights before. With two young kids and a full time job, I hadn't been making a priority of my own health and fitness. I was really out of shape and generally not feeling great. I needed a lifestyle reset, and to start feeling and seeing the benefits fast.. This is exactly what I got at Roar. I lost over 4 kg in the first 3 weeks and a total of 17kg over the course of 15 weeks. I was surprised at how quickly I built strength, felt physically fitter, and so much happier in myself. I was also surprised that it wasn't at all awful to do! The gym (City branch) is a really nice place to come to and train. I've enjoyed the nutrition side of things (with thanks to Tom). And most importantly, my PT (Ben) has been the absolute best - massively supportive, very patient, always pushing me hard, and always fun to chat to. After completing my initial stint, I re-signed to continue training with Ben once a week, and started training on my own between our sessions - something I now feel empowered to do (and actually like doing!) thanks to his dedication to the cause! I can honestly say signing with Roar is one of the best decisions I've ever made, and to anyone else thinking about it, it's a hard recommend from me!

I was someone completely new to the gym and had no clue where to begin. Gus has been my PT and he is amazing. He knows when to push me and how to keep me going when I feel like I can’t go any harder. Fantastic experience: I signed up to Roar for a 3 month stint after piling on weight I just couldn’t shift with a goal of being in the best shape of my life for my big birthday. I got assigned to Gedas (training) and Matt (nutrition) who both believed in me, encouraged and helped me every step of the way to reach my goal. Trainings with Gedas who is a true taskmaster are challenging but so worth it. Not only I am 11kgs lighter but I am lifting now more than I ever imagined possible and have a new level of body and mind confidence. Regular trainings with G and following Matt’s nutrition advice allowed me to change my relationship with food and drink and have a healthy balance with my busy social life. Needless to say I resigned and continue my training with Gedas to maintain my top form.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training for twice a day for 12 weeks with Vik and supported by Luke on the nutrition side. Both Vik and Luke are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I’ve had so far. I like that the gym does not have a large footprint and the equipment is of a high standard. I’ve enjoyed the sessions with Vik and have been surprised at the weights that I’ve been lifting every week but Vik always seems to know that I can handle it. I’ve signed up for another 12 weeks because I’ve been enjoying the sessions and continue to increase the weights lifted every session and want to see where I can take this.
Fantastic experience: I can echo what others have said, joining roar is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m roughly three quarters of my way through the 12 week transformation program and it’s been fantastic. My trainer Gedas is excellent, providing unparalleled instruction, constantly challenging me to go the extra mile and helping me through any challenges. I feel I’ve come a long way in a relatively short space of time and I couldn’t have done it without his guidance. The nutritional support from Tom has also been superb - catering for my vegetarian diet, answering all of my questions and adapting recipes in line with my personal preferences. I’ve never eaten better, exercised so much, or felt so healthy. It’s an amazing environment and a brilliant experience. A very wholehearted five stars.
Fantastic experience: After 2 years of working from home, and the heaviest I have ever been, I was struggling to get back into the habit of regular training and healthy nutrition. I am now 6 weeks into an 8-week plan and it has really put me back on track. My body shape is starting to change, clothes are getting looser, and I am getting my self-esteem back and feeling better about myself. All the staff are really friendly, but my personal trainer Lucie is simply the best and a credit to the Roar team. She is always enthusiastic, full of positivity, warm and down to earth so each session is hard work but fun and I actually look forward to working out. The package is expensive but it’s a great feeling when you start to see results (and there’s no cardio!) Thank you Lucie!!
