Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I have ever used. Mike is an absolute diamond and always up for a chat. Love the space, equipment and size of the gym itself. It's very well kept and super clean. So if you are tired of commercial gyms and are looking for something smaller, XPS is for you.

Fantastic experience: Been going for 1+year and has to cancel due to moving. Really good gym with a good range of equipment, staff are very friendly and often know you by name! Lots of regulars go each day which gives things a nice vibe and the showers are individual, private, hot and have Amazing pressure!

Fantastic experience: One XPS Fitness is a great facility that excels in several key areas. The cleanliness is impeccable, making it a pleasure to work out in such a well-maintained environment. Equipment availability is another highlight; I have never struggled to get on a machine, no matter the time of day. The staff, Mike and Martin, are incredibly friendly and helpful, always approachable and ready to assist. The personalised attention of remembering everyone’s name and giving individual tours of the gym to new members is fantastic, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Its prime location in Ancoats makes it a convenient choice for anyone in the area. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-notch gym experience!

Fantastic experience: Probably the best Gym I’ve joined since being in Manchester. Mike and Martin are incredibly friendly and helpful and have amazing equipment - I cannot fault the gym!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to the gym since I was 16 on and off and ultimately struggled to maintain the discipline of training frequently as I found it boring and repetitive. Joining One XPS was the best thing I’ve done as the daily sessions work me hard and I feel so good after doing them. As well as that, I now appreciate the typical gym session instead of being bored of them previously. Mike and Martin are both top top lads and couldn’t recommend this place anymore.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant boutique gym in a great location of town just off great Ancoats street. Never too busy to be able to get on equipment. Particularly enjoy the circuits and organised classes, as good as any I’ve been to in other gyms and dedicated class providers. Mike and Martin are great guys and take time to give tailored advice and technique help to everyone during the sessions. The classes are mixed with an even male and female split, and paired to someone of the same ability so you can train at the best pace for you. Always a fun and friendly vibe created by Mike and Martin. Recommend signing up!

Fantastic experience: I've been a regular at One XPS Fitness for a while now, attending both the classes on offer and training on my own and can't speak highly enough of the experience. Mike and Martin are both brilliant trainers. They're friendly, approachable, and they remember everyone's name, making the gym feel like a community. Martin's strength classes helped me regain confidence and strength post-injury, while Mike's HIIT sessions have significantly boosted my overall fitness and strength. Their support is unparalleled, and you're able to challenge yourself during the sessions whilst having a laugh. For solo workouts, the gym and equipment is top-tier. It's clean, well-maintained, and there are a number of stations dotted about to wipe down equipment once you're finished using it. I highly recommend One XPS Fitness to anyone looking to improve their fitness in a welcoming and friendly environment

Mike took great care onboarding me a few months back and I’ve seen him give the same great service to other gym members. Mike & Martin are always happy to answer any queries and go above and beyond for their clients. The gym is always spotless and the machines are in great condition. The other members are super friendly. All round great environment.

After going to some of the bigger gyms and being completely demotivated by the sheer scale and how 'corporate' they all felt, this gym really stood out. One XPS was really helpful for someone like myself who had a lot of anxiety about starting to go to the gym, Mike and Martin make you feel welcome no matter what gym experience you have or what your goals may be and are more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym especially if you enjoy classes that are challenging & engaging. Mike and Martin are great and will always help if you are unfamiliar with an exercise in the classes. Gym equipment / cleanliness / culture is all spot on too.

Positive experience: Like others have mentioned, management are extremely nice and welcoming! Very clean and the equipment is nice. The gym is however, very small - some days are busier than others but there is a wait for equipment in the early mornings. I would still say it’s worth it, but definitely worth considering if you have a set workout or need specific equipment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for a few months now and it’s one of best gyms I’ve ever attended. It has a great welcoming atmosphere, thanks to Mike and Martin, who seem to remember everyone’s name! Martin, who’s also my PT, is excellent. Super knowledgeable and friendly, able to adapt workouts to specific needs, and stays in touch even on days we don’t train, tracking progress via the fitness apps. I originally enlisted his help to get me in shape for a ToughMudder event. Which I was well equipped to complete by time the event came around. The gym is always kept clean and tidy, it’s extremely well equipped and there is an all round great energy to the place. The only slight negative and not enough to remove a star, is that the gym a modest size, and is (deservedly) growing in popularity so occasionally it can be a little busy. Especially when group classes are being held.

They have helped me enormously to get back into the gym. I love the lunchtime 30min sessions. Very motivating and good to try a range of things. Great value for money. Even when not an everyday gym goer.

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the best gyms I’ve been too in Manchester - always felt very comfortable here and it’s refreshing having a gym you can just chat to the owner/other trainers without feeling uncomfortable! The gym is always super clean and organised and feels very safe having individual changing rooms with showers etc - would 100% recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Mike has not only created a great place to train but a lovely community within the gym walls. No one’s just a number to him. I’ve struggled with so many other gyms in the city centre over the years which have felt like impersonal goldfish bowls, but I’ve not once felt uncomfortable at One XPS.

Fantastic experience: This is a gem of a gym. I have been coming here for a year and cannot fault the facilities. Michael, the friendly owner of the establishment, demonstrates a genuine interest in his members and provides tailor-made training plans, advice and encouragement. I believe that my health and fitness has fundamentally improved. It is important to be consistent and to train even when you do not feel like it, however, this is a proper gym where you want to go and train. Thank you, Mike!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. All the latest equipment, not too busy and super clean. The classes offer something for everyone to build fitness, strength and overall confidence. Mike has created a great culture at the gym, knows all the members names and always there to offer guidance and help people reach their fitness goals. Can’t say enough great things about the gym and Mike, would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My best gym experience ever. Mike, the owner and lead trainer is incredibly welcoming and greets all of the users by name. The live classes, all run by Mike or his assistant Martin, are at convenient times (weekday lunchtimes and teatimes) to fit into my schedule. This has enabled me to maintain the best ever gym routine I've ever had. What's more, most classes take place within the main gym, so that you get a fantastic mix of weights work, mobility, and HIIT-style cardio. This has meant I've developed new muscle and am more toned than ever before. :-) The classes are attended by small groups of between 4 and 12 people, so it feels like a real community. You can also supplement the classes with video classes in the studio or simply work out in the gym. As others have said, the place is never crowded and the atmosphere is calm and friendly, without any of the show-off or macho atmosphere you get in lots of places. All this at a fantastic price for a personalised non-chain gym experience. I could not recommend Mike and One XPS Fitness more strongly.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I’ve been to. Gym-fear and that feeling of gym-intimidation is not a thing here, nor will it ever be thanks to Mike and the team creating such a lovely community of like-minded people trying to work on their fitness. I have been a member since October 2022 and have been super impressed. It has all the equipment I need (plus more!) and an amazing studio to use for classes. I even asked Mike to pause my membership due to extenuating family circumstances and he did with no problems at all. Very excited to come back and keep training soon.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to One XPS for about 8 months, and it’s been the best gym I've been to in Manchester. Mike clearly takes pride in the gym and it shows. The gym is always clean, the vibe is always welcoming, and there’s a good amount of equipment to get stuck into. I signed up with Martin as my PT there and he’s been amazing. He has been really great at listening to me and building a great plan for me to hit my goals as well as regularly checking in on progress. This gym is a hidden gem among the many giant brands and "instagram first" gyms in Manchester. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

There are classes throughout the week which I really enjoy attending and Mike is great at motivating everyone and pushing us each week. Fantastic experience: Quite easily the most welcoming and well equipped gym in Manchester. Prior to joining I’d been out of the gym for a couple of years sporadically doing some halfhearted home workouts here and there. Had I not found One XPS I’d have probably stayed on that path. Mike is so welcoming and a constant positive presence in the gym always encouraging members and pushing them on with their goals and he seems to know each and everyone of his members. Can’t recommend enough. 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Easily my favourite gym in Manchester. It has all the modern equipment you need. It’s always spotless and the music is great and not repetitive like most gyms. Mike the owner is great. Always on hand to offer friendly informative advice. There is a studio for separate classes and individual training. The classes are really good and motivation has well. There are no pretentious customers either and everyone knows their gym etiquette. Everyone seems really nice. Highly recommended.

A modern fitness room and 100’s of virtual classes and a fully equipped gym with free weights, static equipment and cardio machines. Mike is great, so helpful and is happy to offer advice if you ask. All the members are respectful and tidy up after themselves which is a dream!

Fantastic experience: This gym is a game-changer, and it's all thanks to Mike and Martin. My wife and I never stuck with a gym this long before. The classes are really fun and always different. The supportive environment that Mike created make all the difference. The equipment is top-notch, and there's a real sense of community among members. If you're serious about fitness and want a gym that feels like home, this is it!

Fantastic experience: I went to this gym until recently. I highly recommend it. In my experience the people who attend are respectful and freindly. The staff have a preternatural ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. There are no cynical membership tactics. Generous pricing. The gym might be smaller than others but there is everything you need equipment wise. Gets a bit busy on Monday and Tuesday around 5:30 but most gyms do. All other times are fine. The only thing I would change: People here are take extra care to clean equipment after use (commendable) but that means more potential exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals present in most cleaners (check Harvard's website for more info). In future I would suggest switching to less harmful cleaners if you haven't already. It's probably only me that cares about this though. Sad I had to move out of area or would have continued membership.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a range of gyms in Manchester and this is by far my favourite. The gym is always spotless and all the equipment is well looked after. The gym has everything you need equipment wise and they also run a range of classes that look great too. Mike and Martin are really personable and always say hello which is a small thing but adds to the gym experience. Definitely recommend!

Also been working out with Martin who has been my first ever PT. Martin is extremely reliable & punctual, always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned. Fantastic experience: Absolutely superb facilities at this gym, it’s clean modern and fully decked out. Great love instructor classes each weekday lunch and then lots of other virtual classes to choose from that take place in the studio.

Fantastic experience: Mike runs a very well equipped gym in Manchester City Centre. He is very kind and always provides help to solve any inconvenient it could happen. I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a nice gym, not over crowded and with new machines.

Negative experience: This is a decent gym, but it very small. This never used to be an issue but over the past couple of months has become massively over subscribed to the point where every single machine and piece of equipment around 6pm is taken. Given the size, the owner should really consider capping the membership base as it’s not unusable.

Fantastic experience: I have been an on off member of gyms since my teens, because nothing has kept me engaged or motivated. But i can honestly say Mike and his gym feels like a family and Mike is genuinely infested in everyones wellbeing, goals and life. The equipment is by far the best I've used and the facilities are always well maintained and clean.

Best showers I've ever seen in a gym, each in it's own little bathroom means it's just like showering and changing at home!
