In my home gym, I’ve created a versatile studio catering for all fitness needs. It features a range of dumbbells from 3kg to 30kg, along with an assortment of fitness tools like medicine and slam balls, kettlebells, power bags, an Olympic bar, and a Hex bar to cater to your strength, cardio and core needs. I incorporate bodyweight exercises using TRX and resistance bands, while also incorporating cardio through spinning and treadmill sessions for a well-rounded fitness routine. And for an unbeatable cardio workout, I turn to boxing!
I joined the river camp back in 2016. I was new to the area and had only been personal training with Tanya for a few months. Tanya spent a long time persuading me to attend the camp but I was apprehensive and so put it off for some time. I had previous bootcamp experiences of very clicky groups who were not welcoming to outsiders, and as the group in Tanya’s camp all seemed to know each other I thought it would be the same – I could not have been more wrong!
They were so welcoming and have now become friends, some of them were even at my baby shower! Even now that work has prevented me from attending as often as I would like, whenever I do go, the welcome is so warm and I spend just as much time smiling and laughing as I do getting a fantastic workout. The only downside is how much I ache the next day, oh and even after seven years, Tanya still can’t count!!!!
Bootcamp is simply the best three hours of my week. A chance to workout with like-minded people to collectively achieve and maintain our fitness goals, with a huge amount of mutual support, motivation and fresh air and the most inventive camp leader. It’s a must!
I have been going to boot camp for almost eleven years now and I can’t imagine doing anything else with my M/W/F mornings. Not only does Tanya bring such an infectious energy to camp, the workouts are always challenging. However, the best part of camp by far is the sense of “community”. Yes, you get an incredible workout, but it is also mentally and emotionally supportive. Unfortunately I have to move back to the US next summer and I will by far miss boot camp and even more so Tanya the most!!!
Tanya’s sessions at Boot Camp have huge amounts of variety, no class is ever the same so you never get bored and always feel challenged. Tanya shows great enthusiasm to every class and gives you variations of a move if you are injured or want that extra challenge. I encourage anyone to attend a class, you will walk away feeling great.
Training with Tanya has really improved my overall fitness, she challenges me but also listens to what are my goals and what drives me, she makes each session different and never boring, the session always fly’s by! I often leave amazed by what I have achieved, Tanya is technically knowledgeable in all areas of fitness, she is patient and genuinely cares. I can see so many positive changes since I started training with her.
I have had the pleasure of having Tanya as a personal trainer for the past seven years, and I cannot recommend her enough. Having Tanya throughout my time at school and university has made me genuinely love fitness and develop health habits from a young age, which I now carry into my adult life. Tanya has always taken the time to understand my personal fitness goals and develop my technique so that I feel confident both training with her and independently. Not only is she a great PT, but she has become a great friend. She provides personal touches and builds great relationships with her clients. I really love my sessions with her and genuinely look forward to them.
