GPT has a mission of transforming the physical & mental wellbeing of people over 40 in the Sonning area. Bottom line - we want you to feel great, move easier & live better! We help you get fitter, stronger & healthier through small group personal training, larger group resistance training classes, nutrition advice & a supportive community of like-minded members. We have mixed gender & women-only sessions, all coached by experienced personal trainers in our private Sonning studio based at the Reading Rugby Club, off Sonning Lane, RG4 6ST. If you're interested in living a long and healthy life and playing with your great-grandkids someday, come join us! Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned exerciser, you're welcome.

Fantastic experience: I’d never really thought about the importance of strength work and nutrition until recently, but on the recommendation of a friend I joined the Ladies Group PT in January and I have to say it was a great decision. Michael, Tarryn and the team have been so welcoming and support everyone with working towards their own goals. Having never lifted weights in my life I am amazed after only 6 weeks with how far I have come. The nutrition side has also been important for me and I really have noticed my energy levels increasing as I avoid the peaks and troughs of sugar boosts and focus more on protein in my diet. Everyone is so friendly and there is no pressure in the any of the classes which was always my concern with joining a gym. I’m looking forward to building on a great start to 2023

Fantastic experience: As a Senior lady new to the gym, I only have high praise for the fab Coaches and the friendly ladies. I had a hip replacement 6 months ago and this plus the lockdowns left me feeling less than physically strong in my legs which had lost a lot of power due to waiting for the new hip! I am in my second month now at the gym and already seeing big improvements in my strength and mobility. Michael and Tarryn are both very motivating and push me just enough to try everything even on days when I feel I don't think I can achieve much. I love their enthusiasm and encouragement. They will always adapt exercises for me if I cant quite manage. They monitor to ensure correct posture when using equipment. I wasn't a gym user before and like many ladies not a big fan-but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I now like it! My thanks to you both. ☺️ Jan

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place, since I moved to reading in 2014, this is the fitness centre I feel commited to. It's very personal and I always felt as if I am part of this small family fitness group. I feel good coming to this place

Fantastic experience: I've never been one to like the typical gym classes as they're intimidating (and I'm not the slim gym size). Michael and Tarryn have build a great community that is so supportive of each other that it makes you feel like you want to come to classes. I've been going to classes for a good few years now (around having a baby) and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get back into fitness, needing a helping hand with knowing what physical and nutrition stuff they should be doing, and wanting a community that's going to cheer on all your successes - no matter how small!

Fantastic experience: I joined this group nearly a year ago, it’s amazing and I’m loving every class I attend. I can definitely see the difference in my strength and body shape. The whole team are truly professional and supportive. Michael and Tarryn have created a real community around fitness, strength , health and general well being. The members are fun to be with whilst exercising and also during our social activities. 100% recommended.

Fantastic experience: I've been part of this group for 2 years now and I just LOVE it. I can choose whether I go to the gym or join online which really helps me be consistent around my busy work schedule, the classes are motivational and drive "progress not perfection" and Michael and Tarryn are just the most supportive people you could wish for. They put so much effort into making this group fun and challenging and inclusive. Join up, you'll never regret it.

Fantastic experience: Ladies Group PT is an absolutely wonderful group. Michael, Tarryn and the other trainers are so supportive. If you want to lose weight they can help; if you want to get stronger they can help; if you want to get fitter they can help, or if you want to exercise with a group of like minded people this is the place for you. No gym bunnies in sight – just a group of mutually supportive women. The membership system means that you can vary the time and day every week, and the exercises never get boring as the combinations are changed every time. I cannot praise this group and the people who run it highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Micheal and Tarryn have created a wonderful community of likeminded members that care about their health, fitness, mental well-being and becoming the best version of themselves. I have loved training here for a number of years and have a wealth of knowledge thanks to this group. Classes are varied, effective and most of all fun (never thought I’d say that about exercise!).
