Fantastic experience: I have been attending Michael's ladies only small group classes for almost a year and a half and its the best decision I've ever made. I was never consistent with working out in the past, lacked confidence and technique. Since joining I have felt stronger and regained that confidence. Michael puts a lot of effort into his classes, ensures you are working hard and makes them fun/engaging. If you are considering joining a PT I would highly recommend Michael.

Fantastic experience: I am so pleased I managed to find out about Aberdeen Fitness Studio. I have been going for 5 months now and I can honestly say I look.forward to the classes (previously I would have lost interest a few months in). I was a bit nervous at first but the small group format with other girls is very supportive and everyone has a plan specifically suited to their level of fitness. Michael demonstrates how to do each exercise and makes sure you continue the proper form. He also tailors the exercises as I had a recent back issue with the type of job I do. In the time i have been doing the classes I have toned up more than from any cardio exercises I used to do which is such a boost. I would definitely recommend - I never thought I would love an exercise class as much as I do.

Fantastic experience: I started attending Michael’s small group sessions back in the spring. I knew that going to the gym and trying to workout on my own has not worked for me in the past; I need the accountability and motivation provided by having a PT with me every step of the way. I was nervous as I had not really done much for my fitness in the months before. I am honestly delighted that I took the first step! The sessions are challenging but I (weirdly!) love them. Michael is extremely professional, encouraging and great at pushing me beyond what I think I am capable of. I like the fact the sessions are quite short, there is no hanging around - you arrive, workout and leave feeling as though you have really achieved something. Michael varies the workouts so the repetitive boredom doesn’t kick in and it works brilliantly to be working alongside 3 other women. It’s incredibly reassuring to have Michael tailor each session to my individual capabilities - I don’t have to worry about following charts or working out what I should be lifting or doing: for me, this is perfect! I feel stronger and more confident - I highly recommend Michael’s group sessions.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Aberdeen Fitness Studio in January 2024 because I wanted to become more confident in weight lifting and understanding techniques when it comes to using weights. I tend to give up on workout classes after a while, but I can see myself attending Aberdeen Fitness Studio long term. Michael is knowledgeable, kind and flexible and he makes exercise feel positive and rewarding. I always feel good and motivated following our sessions and have definitely gained a new found confidence when it comes to my abilities and strength! Would recommend to any woman who is keen to improve her relationship with exercise and have fun and meet new people whilst doing it!

Fantastic experience: I have no self confidence and at 55 thought I was too old, my daughters persuaded me to join, I wanted to lose weight and feel fitter for my daughters wedding. I have been going once a week for the last 5 months. I love it!! I have lost weight, my confidence has grown and I tell all my friends it’s never to late to start, I have even had the confidence to go to a commercial gym, I never imagined I could do that, Michael is patient and knows exactly how to get you to do your best, it’s hard but so rewarding!! Fantastic experience: The ladies small group Pt session has been brilliant from the start. I started with the goal of feeling fitter and stronger but wanted the guidance of a professional and to be in a space that felt less intimidating than a commercial gym. Michael and his programmes have been so good in providing that, it might feel hard physically at the time, but it's also encouraging as you know the effort put in is what's building your strength. Being in the group you feel like you're all working together even if you're doing your own allocated exercise which I really like. Michael is an absolute pro, and is always on top of keeping us right with form and pushes us appropriately to help us get the best out of the session, I never feel embarrased if I'm not doing something right, it's a really good atmosphere. I might feel tired at the end of a session, but it's a good tired and I definitely always feel better mentally. If you're looking for all of the above, go for it!

Fantastic experience: So glad I started here back in March! I’ve never done anything like this before so wasn’t sure what to expect but Michael provides lots of information prior to starting and makes you feel at ease during your first session. I enjoy learning different weight exercises as it’s made me become confident with going to the gym on my own which I couldn’t have done before, thanks to Michael for providing a great PT experience! :)

Fantastic experience: I first started training with Michael about 2 and a half years ago with the aim of pushing myself more than I do when training alone. I was always stuck in the same training routine but at Aberdeen fitness studio the workouts change weekly and I find myself doing exercises I would have previously avoided, due to being unsure how to do them properly or being nervous about being unable to do them at all. I also find myself lifting heavier weights than I would have previously attempted. I would 100% recommend training with Michael

Fantastic experience: Michael is an excellent PT, there’s no hiding, which is exactly the purpose of a PT and he challenges you to what he knows you can achieve, even when you’re in doubt which really helps you get great results! I’ve been training for a marathon and definitely notice a difference in my strength since working with Michael, I’d definitely recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending small group pt for a few months now, I have never felt more confident in the gym than I do now. Michael is extremely supportive and tailors each exercise to your needs. I feel a lot stronger and have been introduced to exercises and new techniques that I would never think to try myself. Micheal is a great PT and the studio is very well equipped and clean.

Fantastic experience: One year in! Michael has been amazing at keeping me on track. I joined his ladies only small group class to build resilience following an elbow injury. Michael tailored my workouts which has enabled me to improve my overall strength and fitness. This has had a huge positive effect where I rarely feel pain in my elbow. The classes are fun and well structured. Michael is encouraging and has the class working to the best of our abilities. The classes are friendly with good banter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Michael to anyone who is considering joining a personal trainer/ gym class. He really does work hard to help people achieve their goals.

Fantastic experience: I started working with Michael at 63years old and can honestly say, now aged 70, that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He quickly helped me achieve my goals of improving my stamina, balance, core strength and general fitness- and I can now lift weights I never thought possible! With seven grandchildren, this has proved to be invaluable. In the beginning ( having not exercised for a long time) I was very apprehensive but his professional, patient welcoming manner instantly put me at my ease. Michael’s sessions are always well planned, never repetitive and consistently challenging. He strikes the right balance between building your confidence and pushing for results while respecting your limits in a safe, knowledgeable way. I’d highly recommend Michael no matter what age you are. But to anyone who IS that little bit older, I’d say it’s never too late to start your fitness journey. I’ll be continuing mine with Michael for as long as I can.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Michael for over 6 years now and it's been a great journey. I started attending sessions with my dad after having numerous gym memberships and not gaining anything from them. Michael has helped improve my strength and techniques with a wide range of equipment which I never would have been confident enough to use in a standard gym. His workouts are varied and never the same which keep things challenging and never boring. He is very motivating and encouraging even when you are swearing at him when doing Bulgarian Split Squats!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE the group PT sessions with Michael and can not recommend them highly enough. I started with absolutely no gym/strength experience, I went to cardio type exercise classes nearly every day, but did not know how to lift. I did not have the confidence to go onto my local gym floor (sometimes I would try, but would quickly walk right back out the door). Now, with the education and encouragement from Michael, I am regularly on the gym floor and confident in what I am doing. The group aspect of it is also favoured by me, it’s a lot of fun. Fantastic experience: I've been training with Michael for almost a year attending small group PT sessions. Fantastic experience: Michael is an excellent Personal Trainer! I've been training with him for a year now and he's helped me to stay consistent with my workouts while making continuous progress with my strength training. He creates full body workouts for me on a monthly basis which are the right mix of challenge/effort level but are also simple and easy to follow which helps me to reach my goals! He's also available to answer any questions and support anything I'm unsure of. Fantastic experience: Having tried a few other gyms in the past I am so delighted to have found Michael ! Small group training (a maximum of four) with the same trainer every week, who is supportive and knowledgeable in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. With a modern, immaculately kept, well equipped gym, Michael explains every movement and constantly monitors everyone in the gym, pushing where necessary but also pulling back on an exercise if not right for you. Having been seeing Michael for around six months now, just once a week, I have found my strength increase week on week- not bad for a previously unfit 60 something! If you are considering starting training for the first time or looking to continue a training journey, I would definitely suggest you contact Michael who will give you honest, simple advice and options on your training journey.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Michael since May 2021 both as a 1-2-1 client and now in a small group PT class. Since working with Michael, my confidence and abilities in the gym have grown massively and he has pushed me beyond where I had placed limitations on myself. Michael is always on hand and willing to find alternative exercises if needed or to offer support to correct your form. Michael was also extremely accommodating to me personally when I had a serious knee injury and had no idea how long I would be out for, he kept in touch and as soon as I was fit enough to start working out again, Michael got me back in the gym and worked with me to help build my strength and confidence again, without that, I do not believe I would have recovered as quickly as I did without his support. The group PT sessions are great, with a good, hard work out and good banter. I cannot recommend Michael and Aberdeen Fitness Studio enough. The gym is extremely clean and private allowing shy gym goers the opportunity to expand their horizons. I cannot recommend Michael and Aberdeen Fitness Studios enough, even if my face tells a different story half way through the work out!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Michael twice a week now for nearly two years and really enjoy it. A mix of ladies small group PT and one to one sessions. He’s a great coach and really pushes you to do your best. He knows his stuff and is very supportive. I don’t like the idea of going to a gym myself so this private studio is great. It’s always clean and has great facilities. The routines are always varied and Michael is always great at changing them up when you have any injuries or not feeling great. It’s made me much more confident knowing I have someone to keep me right.

Fantastic experience: Michael is a first class trainer, both supportive and encouraging in helping you to push your own boundaries - certainly gets me lifting weights I wouldn’t be doing on my own! Great gym environment and set up, ideal for small group class with everyone working to their own capabilities - so get yourself along. I’m in 50s and wasn’t a ‘gym person’ - but really enjoying the challenge & fitness benefits this brings.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym on a taster course for 4 weeks as I was curious to find out more about how it worked in a small group PT session. I usually have a problem trying to motivate myself and I find Michael is great at this and now I have a greater energy level and am lifting weights I never would on my own. He is really encouraging and my confidence in the gym has grown loads. If you’re thinking about doing personal training but unsure if you’d like it then give the taster course a go - I’m sure you’ll see the advantages and carry on from there.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending sessions with Michael for almost 4 years now and there’s a good reason for that! Michael is very professional and the group sessions he runs fit very well round my work schedule. I’ve developed so much strength over the years I’ve been going and the sessions are always challenging but so enjoyable (most of the time!), there’s the social aspect too of having others there within the group you’re training in which can be motivational also! Michael is very encouraging and supportive. Would definitely highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Michael for a number of years now. I began one to one sessions to help build my stamina and improve my overall health. I feel I have achieved this and I am continuing with my weekly sessions. I like the cleanliness and privacy of the studio. Fantastic experience: Michael is an excellent personal trainer who genuinely cares about his clients' fitness goals. He truly pays attention to the client within that one-on-one session, and he intuitively knows what he/she needs for that extra push to accomplish his/her fitness objectives. Fantastic experience: For many years I have attended a variation of classes, along with PT, & some running. I often toyed with the idea of weight training, but I never really "got it", nor did I have the confidence to walk into a weights room, let alone a room full of men & women that all 'appear' to know exactly what they were doing. The thought terrified me and I felt like I'd stick out like a sore thumb, not knowing where to start! But...In November 2015, I went to see Michael at Aberdeen Fitness Studio. I thought "I go try this weight stuff one more time", "it would be a change if nothing else", "I don't have to do it forever"... Convinced my feelings for weights most probably won't have changed!! How wrong could I be. I love it (in a weird sense) I even look forward to it!! Michael has changed my feelings for weight training completely. He has me lifting, pushing, pulling, & swinging weights I would NEVER have imagined I could. I train with him twice a week, in a private room, no distractions, just the encouragement to work hard...it's just what I needed. I have added a weight training day to my own weekly regime, all through Michaels encouraging words. This, for me is a huge improvement. My diet has improved to, maybe not quite at it's best yet, but I'm getting there. I feel fitter, healthier & more energised than ever.
