Fantastic experience: Every time I come to train here I know I’m going to have a great time and have a great workout, the classes are varied enough to keep it interesting and the coaches are fantastic. Since joining I’ve become far fitter and stronger and learned so many new skills from gymnastics to Olympic lifting.

Negative experience: I live directly across from this gym, and the experience has been nothing short of a living hell. From the ungodly hours of the early morning, they blast music at deafening volumes, disrupting the peace and waking up the entire neighborhood. Despite the clear local noise regulations in place, this gym consistently ignores them, showing complete and utter disregard for the surrounding community.The constant barrage of noise starts as early as 6 AM and doesn’t stop until late at night. It’s not just the thumping bass from the music; the cacophony includes yelling, slamming weights, and other loud activities that make it impossible to enjoy any tranquility in my own home. Even with all my windows closed, the relentless noise penetrates my walls, making it impossible to sleep, relax, or concentrate on work.This incessant noise pollution has severely deteriorated my quality of life. It’s not just an occasional disturbance; it’s an everyday assault on the senses. The neighborhood, once a peaceful area, has been transformed into an unbearable noise zone. Countless neighbors have voiced their frustrations and complaints, yet nothing changes. It seems clear that this gym couldn’t care less about the impact they are having on our daily lives.To anyone considering joining this gym: think again. If you value your peace, sanity, and the ability to sleep past the crack of dawn, look elsewhere. There are numerous other gyms that offer the same services without terrorizing the local residents. This establishment is a continuous source of stress, frustration, and utter misery.Save yourself the agony and choose a gym that respects its community. The blatant disregard for the well-being of those living nearby is unacceptable and inexcusable.

Fantastic experience: Great quality of coaches, an amazing community of people across diverse ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Sunday kids class is also great to drop my little ones and workout at the same time!

Negative experience: Imagine a gym where you can’t go whenever you want. Where Your gym time is limited with your sessions. Where you pay for sessions rather than gym usage. Where attending every session requires meticilous preparation beforehand. Where you get penalized for late cancellation and no show. In case of no show you lose your session which is 16£, you get penalized 3£ on top of it, and you can’t use gym that day. I’ve cancelled my membership only 10 days through. This place has been full of endless formalities, time constraints for me. I couldnt go many days because of these rules which hindered my progress and gym time. I was shocked when i found out so called open gym is one session worth and its also checked and tracked. If you dont go you lose a session and you cant use the gym that day. There is no way to use the gym more than 1 hour. Always limited with 1 hour. I failed to understand how i was supposed to progress with this random cardio type workouts, without consistent planning for my workouts. I wanted to move on and forget about this place and continue my fitness journey, i wish the community best of luck and success.

Fantastic experience: Super easy to drop in, lots of class time, clean and tidy gym with very attentive coaches and small classes. They’ve got a self service shop with everything you need from nutrition to knee sleeves and even rpm ropes. The equipment is nice and I had a lovely visit, I will be back!

Fantastic experience: Did a drop in and the leading coach was 5 stars: she introduced everyone with small talk, the was really thorough in the warm up part and in the technique section before the wod. During the wod she kept an eye on everyone, from beginners to experienced athletes, cheering and correcting the form when needed. The wod was tough but the intent was explained and it gives you extra energy. I highly recommend for a day at least

Fantastic experience: I joined Shapesmith’s 3 months ago (September 2022). From the very first engagement, it was clear how much the team running it care and made me feel welcome. The coaches continued that experience and it’s great to feel consistent and pushed with the training. Obviously there are some incredible athletes but the coaches make sure the sessions are attainable to all abilities. Def worth joining.

Fantastic experience: Started going here almost 3 weeks now, have to say I am loving the way this particular type of training is structured and taught at Shapesmiths. The trainers are very easy going but will always encourage you to push and try your hardest to finish the challenges and support you in getting the right form and technique so that you maximise your sessions. Not to mention that all the members i've spoken to are always super friendly and down to earth. Will defo be sticking around here and hope to become a Crossfit specialist soon ;))

Fantastic experience: I joined in Oct 2022 (having never done CrossFit) and have loved every* minute of it. The team, coaches, facilities and community are top notch. And of course, the training intensity is awesome, but also not too intimidating for new comers. 10/10 all round. *there’s the odd minute on that echo bike that is a tad testing haha! It’s all worth it in the end though. Definitely recommend Shapesmiths!

Fantastic experience: Never in my life did I think I would join a crossfit community. It was nothing like what I had perceived. From the word "Go", Shapesmiths were incredibly welcoming, adjusting their exercises to suit my fitness level, and encourage me to challenge myself to get fitter and stronger than ever. They also do a great number of socials. The Shapesmiths whatsapp is always quick to get back to any enquiry. Their facebook group has been a great way to keep in the loop and connect with the community. I could not recommend Shapesmiths more!

Conveniently located, variety of classes and timings throughout the day, 24/7 open gym scheme, and super responsive communication with the staff. They really make it easy and stress-free to workout. Their programming and social activities are also top-notch. I'd certainly recommend to anyone looking to take up Cross Fit.

Fantastic experience: If you hesitate, don't! It is the best Crossfit Box I have been to, I love it. Richard is the kindest and the whole team of coach is fantastic. I've improved a lot since I train here: they give you great advice and gently push you towards Rx movements. The box has plenty of space, WODs all day long and all the equipments necessary to do all the WODs.

Fantastic experience: After 2 babies and 1 lockdown in the last 3 year, this January I decided to join Shapesmith. My friends have been trying to get me into crossfit for a while, but there was never the right moment (this is what lazy people say ;)) I finally decided to sign up in January this year and I am so happy I did so. This is the best thing I have ever done for my body. Not only I have lost 12kg in 4 months, but I am feeling stronger and happier. The coaches are amazing, they are supportive and attentive to every single move. Fantastic experience: I’ve experienced a few gyms in the area and moved to Shapes to try CrossFit and learn the lifting movements correctly. Really rate the coaches, very knowledgable and super friendly, excellent programming that’s done weeks in advance on Wodify app which I love being able to see as I can coordinate my week with other workouts/running etc. The size of the classes only 12 so you get quality coaching. So many classes on a day so you’d never miss out. Love the facilities. Well priced for what you get!

Fantastic experience: We dropped in for a midday class and everyone could not have been nicer or more welcoming. It's a beautiful, expansive facility with the latest equipment. Coach James was friendly and helpful, ran a fun class, and gave us great tips to improve our power snatch. Definitely one of the best drop-in experiences we've had anywhere and a first-rate gym. Very highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Joined CrossFit Shapesmiths having never done CrossFit before and it’s the best decision I’ve made. I’d highly recommend joining! With 178 classes across the weekly schedule, you’ll find it hard not to find a class that fits around your schedule. The coaches are all amazing, really knowledgeable and helpful. A bonus is it seems to be full of lovely members too who help make it a place to train with a great friendly community.

Fantastic experience: I’ve checked a few CrossFit boxes before joining Shapesmiths and they were by far the best one I visited. The space itself is great with several arches with different setups for the various classes and a vast offer of sessions at anytime of the day. The community is super welcoming and really good to be part of and the coaches very committed and skilled. After 5 months at Shapesmiths my only regret is not having joined earlier.

Fantastic experience: I have tried many different CrossFit gyms around the world, but none of them even come close the the quality of coaching, programming, equipment/facility and community. Even throughout lockdown they managed to offer a variety of alternatives to their usual gym offerings. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete novice or a pro athlete - you will be welcomed with open arms and you will never want to go anywhere else. The rearrangement of their workout stations now also ensures we keep a safe distance and the rigorous sanitising regime at the end of each session makes me feel like I am training safer than at a “normal” gym

Fantastic experience: I joined Shapesmiths CrossFit in Dec 2020 as was able to trial the gym during the short time gyms were open back then. I tried 3 gyms around the area, Shapesmiths stood out from the moment I did the trial. I’ve had a fairly active lifestyle doing weight and high intensity training but this was my first time stepping into the CrossFit world. What draw me to try CrossFit was the variety of classes and use of weights as I enjoy weight training. During the couple of in person classes I did, the instructors were all amazing and supportive in taking into account my individual skills and abilities to offer modifications for each of the movements. I was only able to do 2 weeks of in person classes and then we went into lockdown. I have been SO impressed about how Shapesmiths has been evolving quickly to continue offering options for members to remain active despite the restrictions. It’s now been 3 months since I’ve been doing online classes, the Shapesmiths team have been absolute stars! I spent most of my day sitting, working from home, doing the online classes has been an absolute saviour for my physical and mental health. The schedule they offer is extensive catering for sessions morning, afternoon and evening with options for use of equipment or body weight only. They’ve gone above and beyond and offer a variety of other classes such as mobility and yoga which complement the CrossFit training - and keep me fit and healthy. Shapesmiths also partners with PH Nutrition for those seeking nutrition advice, it’s truly a well rounded offering. Thanks so much Shapesmiths team for the great work and amazing gym, can’t wait to meet you all in person (finally!)

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Shapesmiths enough. From day one, I was welcomed with a hug (literally) and found that this wasn't just a place to come train but an open family which supports and helps you build your skills as well as friendships. The coaches along with well programmed classes are brilliantly structured to keep developing you as an athlete and easily regressed/progressed making it easily accessible for all levels.

Fantastic experience: As a 69 year old exercise novice, I am so happy to have discovered the super-friendly coaches and my peer group in Shapesmiths’ over-60s online classes. The workouts are adapted for our different capabilities and we are encouraged to progress by coaches with a real understanding of the issues of older athletes and by the support of the group.

I’m just grateful I found them before the first lockdown and the support throughout the last year from a fitness, wellness and community perspective has simply been extraordinary. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of this place. It’s not just a gym, it’s a wonderful community of supportive people who’ve become some very close friends. First class programming that’s constantly challenging and effective. The coaches are some of the best people that I know. They get a feel for every member and adapt their approach to each individual. Never have I ever felt so comfortable and or happy than I am when I’m there. Without that place I wouldn’t be where I am!

Fantastic experience: Shapesmiths takes fitness seriously, and offer comprehensive program 7 days a week under one roof (or multiple arches in this case). The team, *hugs*, really cultivates a sense of community, diversity and acceptance thrive in this hub. They are ever so resourceful, responsive and responsible for our memberships. The coaches, *muah*, really exemplifies passion and dedication, and they are all so lovable!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, fantastic vibe, clean, good facilities and very, very welcoming! The crew and management who run it are top drawer, absolutely no hesitation in recommending this gym. Check out their awesome online offerings - something for everyone! I am 59 years old and have been a member for over a year. Ain't leaving anytime soon either.

Brilliant management and trainers, top spec equipment, and most of all an incredibly friendly and welcoming space. If I was still in the area I would be there almost every single day. Fantastic experience: Well stocked box and great setup of the training space, with a nice industrial-like touch. The coaches are awesome, very knowledgeable and approachable. Strong sense of community and positiveness towards fitness and healthy lifestyles. Fantastic experience: I cannot stress too much how supportive Shapesmiths CrossFit gym has been. Since lockdown I have been attending the Masters 60+ zoom workouts. I have loved my classes, never boring always varied and adapted to my needs. Our coaches have been exceptional and great at keeping us motivated when WODs have been particularly challenging. Our classes are full of fun and humour to the extent that we've made friends across the globe. It's been a wonderful learning experience. If you're hesitating about joining Shapesmiths because you know nothing about CrossFit, hesitate no longer, all coaches will put you at your ease and you'll feel fitter and energised. It's a great community.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get fit(ter) after this long lockdown time sitting at home and/or working out in your living room, I cannot recommend enough that you give a try to Shapesmiths. It's a super friendly CrossFit box, very welcoming for all ages and levels of fitness. No need to be buff or super-fit but these individuals will find it's challenging for them too! The coaches are great, competent and friendly, and the community they have built is priceless. Definitely way better than going in the gym on your own or with just a buddy. I'm so much looking forward to restarting working out there once the lockdown eases! Come join the fun!

Fantastic experience: Amazing. I joined Shapesmiths after several months of walking past on my commute - with zero experience and pretty unfit. I was welcomed and supported from the start. Everything is scaled and tailored for all fitness/strength levels to make sure you get the most out of each class. Since joining, I've had two babies, and felt supported to continue training at Shapesmiths through both pregnancies - the coaching team made sure I was safe throughout, and worked with me to make sure all sessions were 100% appropriate for me and the bump. Shapesmiths also hugely helped me post-natally following baby 1, and I'm sure will do the same once I'm ready to return after baby 2.

Fantastic experience: 6 Stars Being a frequent traveller, I have dropped in to many CrossFit boxes across the globe and Shapesmiths undoubtedly provide one of the best spaces I have ever had the pleasure of training in, offering a range of first class facilities and coaching options. The location makes it easily accessible for visitors like me who due to distance can’t commit to a regular membership. Furthermore, as a box, they act as a beacon of support for the community and beyond, facilitating and hosting regular events to raise money for causes such as finding cures for rare forms of cancer, the victims of the bush fires in Australia and many more. It has been an honour to partake in these events! Once we regain a sense of normality, I look forward to spending more time at Shapesmiths, particularly at weekends, where they are one of the few boxes around to offer a variety of high quality classes on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Fantastic experience: An amazing community of great people who want to have fun whilst getting a bit fitter. Everybody is very welcoming, the coaches are all excellent, and they deliver classes suited to people of all ability levels.
