Positive experience: Great value for money with the kit it provides ,, however air con never on 1900 most days and is so warm .understand there shouldn’t be much over free weight but cardio area is so warm

Positive experience: Wish staff would occasionally walk around the gym and tidy the place. Often empty drinks containers, benches and weights laid all over. Rules about members tidying after themselves not enforced.

Fantastic experience: Visited peak time. Was busy but managed to get on everything I wanted. Couple of people getting some serious thumb exercise on the machines.

Fantastic experience: Miles cleaner than the kip that is lifestyle fitness which was last cleaned when Jesus was a foetus. Machines and equipment all new and even when busy, always managed to use the equipment I need with ease. This is just a gym though- for the price it’s spot on but don’t expect saunas and swimming pools for that price.

Positive experience: Good gym, clean and staff friendly. Only gripe is spinning classes too late, 6.30, 6.45 etc

Fantastic experience: I joined as all the family joined too so I was feeling left out. I also wanted to work on my core strength as I was very strong in the past but had not been to gym for years so it was time to jump back in. PureGym Teesside is perfect for me as it's very well equipped, modern, clean, big enough that you don't feel crowded or rushed or in the way (especially in the quieter hours). As an introvert I also don't like a huge amount of uneccessary interaction, I just want to go in, do my thing and check out. It's really perfect for those of us who just want to get our work done and move on with minimal hassle. The trendy upmarket gyms full of posers and egos are anathema to that kind pragmatic approach, so all in all, this is PERFECT. I like the 24hr option too, will use it if I have one of those occasional insomniac sessions that strikes randomly LOL.

Negative experience: Great gym but please change the toilet taps-theyre awful for splashback. Makes an absolute mess

Positive experience: It's newly opened and another gym addition to the Teeside area. Gym is well equipped with high quality exercises machines. I have couple of takes on the gym though. 1st , the equipments are not well placed and cramped together. 2nd and maily It's not well lit area. Could have done a better job with lighting as the gym is fitted with energy saving dimming lights operated by sensors and quite high ceilings, furthermore, ceiling is painted black which contributed being the gym dull and dim. Changing room and showers ok but disappointingly no steam room. Overall, it's a great gym especially with the price point of £9.99 / month currently going on promotion for the whole year .
