Fantastic experience: I started training at PARC at end of 2023 hoping to improve my strength, mobility and balance. I could barely do 1 squat at the first session, yesterday I did 50! I feel so much better, more confident in myself, fitter and stronger. My balance is so much better for horse riding, I am approaching 60, and now feel like I have many more years to enjoy my passion. George is always cheerful and encouraging and adjusts the exercises for each individual. I do 2 sessions a week and love the flexibility to pick which sessions fit my schedule that week so I don't have to miss any. George even got me juggling in one session which is fun exercise and helps coordination, I even do it at home now and find it therapeutic. Looking forward to many more sessions!!!
Fantastic experience: Have been attending bi-weekly classes at Parc for 18 months now. I am 54 and had a long term knee injury when I started, stairs were painful, couldn't go running or cycling, and it was stopping me windsurfing. This was a low point. George really understood what exercises I needed to strengthen my knees. Scaling the range and intensity to my ability. 6 months in, I could do a full squat unaided, this was a massive leap forward both physically and mentally. Fast forward to today, I'm back running and cycling, loving the windsurfing again, all with no knee pain! The classes at Parc are always full of super friendly positive energy, no matter your age or ability. The coaching and feedback are 1st class. Although my injury doesn't bother me now, I am still going twice a week because it keeps me strong and flexible. Great work George!
Fantastic experience: George’s sessions at Parc are really improving my flexibility and full range of movement strength for surfing and have the added benefit that I feel like I am injury proofing myself for sport.

Fantastic experience: I cant quite describe how much I enjoy George's sessions at PARC. They challenge me to use my body in ways I haven't done before, to explore ranges of motion, strength, flexibility and mobility that feel new, energising and impactful. They make me feel more "whole" and grounded, and I know complement the other activities I enjoy, partly because George is so good at tailoring each movement for every individual. I love the explanations he gives, giving context to the 'why' behind each exercise, and I trust his physiological knowledge and approach implicitly. Having never been a gym goer, and usually favoured exercise in fresh air and/or solitude, this is an entirely new experience for me. I've recommended PARC to friends and clients alike — thanks George!
Fantastic experience: George has a very bespoke approach to training and rehab. I have really enjoyed the combination of strengthening and mobility exercises. I now know exercises which are easy and manageable to carry on a program at home alongside his classes, which have allowed me to keep my back healthy. I've seen so much progress in my recovery since working with George. There’s a nice, relaxed atmosphere, which is enjoyable and non-judgmental.
Fantastic experience: Really enjoying my weekly 121 sessions at PARC. George takes the time to fully understand where you are at and what your key aims and goals are - it’s a very considered and focussed approach, working on both strength and mobility often without using weights in a way that builds confidence and progressively challenges you to achieve the goals and then exceed them. Although just at the start of my PARC journey, I am really happy with how far I have come in the 4 months since I began attending these sessions.
Fantastic experience: The perfect entry into strength and conditioning classes..George is an amazing and patient trainer, always brings good vibes and makes you feel good. I've noticed the difference from just a couple of classes a week over the last few months. He knows exactly what each individual needs even in a full class. Feeling strong!

He’s very patient and has an incredible knowledge of exercises/movements to help each individual issue. His gym is well equipped and everyone is friendly & welcoming - not always the case with gyms. Fantastic experience: I used PARC's early morning group sessions to keep active during a recent visit to see family in North Devon. What a brilliant facility for Barnstaple! George is such a great coach with loads of specialist knowledge that he shares as he talks you through every movement and technique. The sessions at PARC are different to anything i've done before. I was introduced to lots of new exercises. It's a challenging workout, but in a controlled way. I honestly felt like I got so much more out of each session than during my normal workout and you could see that everybody else in the group left each morning with a big grin and a sense of achievement ready for the day ahead! An added bonus is that since my last block of sessions I've been able to take everything I learnt at PARC with me into my local gym in London. I can't wait to pick up where I left off and continue my progression when i'm next in the area. Thanks George, a real 5-star experience - see you soon! :)
Fantastic experience: George is an awesome coach, PARC is the best place to train if you ACTUALLY want to get stronger and more mobile! It's not just another gym, it's a nice community with experienced coaches. 2nd to none, wouldn't train anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: George is a very talented, knowledgeable, passionate and patient coach whose approach is personal and friendly. He breaks everything down into manageable and easily understandable chunks. The facility and equipment is top notch too!
Fantastic experience: I've been working with George for a couple of months now and it's been really really helpful for my very long term issues with patellar tendonitis. Being able to get hands on coaching on the ATG exercises and getting bespoke exercise programs along with George's expertise and enthusiasm has made a huge difference already after years of problems. Highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: George and Francie have created a really wonderful space. Beyond a challenging, new set of exercises, I was surprisingly taught the basics of juggling which really loosened me up and made me relaxed and comfortable. Really brilliant atmosphere and exciting what they are building.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended George and his approach to training! He's very patient with my lack of coordination and has been great at motivating me to keep up training. I had 6 months of PT sessions initially before building up my confidence to join in the group sessions. Having always hated group classes, I can honestly say the group sessions are not your standard group. They're really welcoming and non competitive. George facilitates them well & there's a lovely community feel to them. So far I've been training for nearly a year which is probably the longest I've ever stuck with a gym programme so that's pretty high praise for PARC. Overall I feel much stronger, more motivated and have experienced less back/neck issues over the last year.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic experience: I approached George to give me some help with my lower back and neck pain. I’ve been weight training for a while and these had been slowly developing to the point I could barely get out of bed without rolling into some stretches first. George was great!!! He educated me on new ways of training my body to get the best out of my gym sessions. With these few simple changes I have now got gym training plans I love, enjoy and can feel working. As I write this I remember how bad my pain has got, and now I can’t actually remember the last time I noticed the pain present!!! Great gym space too! Rig, sled and much more! Thanks George for creating such an awesome vibe!!!
Fantastic experience: I have never enjoyed training at a gym & booked onto a free taster class after a friend had recommended me and I couldn’t believe how good my body felt afterwards! I met Francie before the session who was lovely & showed me around the gym which instantly made me feel at ease. During the workout George explained exactly why we did every exercise & provided all of the progressions/regressions, which meant I could do every exercise even though I have limited mobility, which felt great. I’ve left with some excellent tools that I can implement into my own training & can’t wait for the next time I’m down to come visit - If only there was another PARC near me!
