Positive experience: Great gym. I love cardio classes and weights. You can have a PT as these are included in your membership which is good. I've needed some guidance in what to use and a PT really helped me

Fantastic experience: THIS REVIEW IS FOR PARADIGM FITNESS, Chesnut Street not for Physique. I initially started this gym when it was The Warehouse, more to push myself boost my confidence and improve my anxiety and also to get fit and healthy again. I never expected to feel so welcome and part of a ‘fitness family’ like I do here. From day 1 I felt like this and I only continued once a week to clubbercise classes but never felt any less part of it! I’ve had been slacking coming for a few weeks due to my mental health but I pushed myself to go and get back into it again I did’nt feel awkward coming back and even though I still find it difficult due to lack of exercise since having my second baby last year, everything was adjusted so I could still join in with the class and benefit and I didn’t end up feeling like a failure. If you want a welcoming gym where you can work at your own pace and what you are comfortable at without feeling like a let down, and also to feel part of a community then this is the place to be. Jude the owner is a brilliant motivator, funny and great to be around, and every other member I’ve met so far have been friendly and made me feel comfortable being there. I even made a new friend through here, and we go on play dates with the kids. Not something I’ve ever felt comfortable doing before and just stuck to the same people so this has been a lovely outcome.

Fantastic experience: Lovely gym and staff, I like how the gym is separated into areas depending on what you want to train, Lots of classes on during the week so that you don't have to train by yourself, or if there is a specific thing you want to do, there is normally a class for it.. There is always something going on in the gym and I honestly love it..

Fantastic experience: After attending all the commercial gyms in the town I came across Physique about 2 years ago when gyms reopened after COVID. What a fantastic gym and the staff are superb. They know every member by their 1st name and the goals they want to achieve. I wish I joined this gym years ago

Fantastic experience: This gym is without a doubt the friendliest, most supportive gym I could have ever imagined! I've been a member since 2017 and trained with all of the PTs to slim down for my wedding, then I had 2 children and covid hit and every single PT has been supportive, said hello when I've walked in or when they've walked past me!! The classes are fab and with included PTs for the price, you really can't go wrong :)

Fantastic experience: Like many people, I've been members at other gyms in the past and set off with good intentions only to get bored/fed up after a couple of weeks and still committed financially for another 50 wks. 4 years later I'm still at physique as it's different, the instructors make it their mission to learn your name, and are motivated to help you reach your goals, through the classes and included PT's I embarked on a "tough love" campaign with Deith, which was a fantastic scheme to show me what I was really capable of, who knew 200kg seated leg press was in me. This gym is great, as no one cares what you're wearing, or what shape or size you are. As everyone in there is invested in doing their best and ensuring that we all contribute to the caring and encouraging environment that all of the instructors have created.. Keep in up..!!

Fantastic experience: Never felt so comfortable in a gym as I do here All staff and fellow customers are very friendly and so supportive #Physique Family. Excellent class timestable and PTs all included in the monthly subscription, they even have kids sessions in the school holidays.

Fantastic experience: Where to start. I really cannot recommend this gym more. I’ve struggled with fitness and weight most of my life, I’ve tried so many gyms across the town and this one is different. The staff genuinely care and go the extra mile every single day with every single person. They are knowledgeable and creative to ensure everyone gets what they need from them and the gym. They have a fantastic range of classes which updates inline with our needs and feedback. They are constantly striving to improve. There’s a great range of equipment and again they’re constantly getting new equipment to provide more for us like the in body machine and the sunbed. Then there’s the creche! Sam and Lisa are fantastic with all of the children and have had my son since he was very young. He loves going to them and gets so excited when he sees them. He’s made fantastic friends there and they serve great food at a really reasonable price. Fab for a cuppa and catch up after classes. In the holidays they provide FREE yes I said FREE kids classes which my middlee loves. Starting them young and providing services for the whole family. When these aren’t on there’s a fab chill out area where she likes to talk with friends, watch tv and play Pac-Man on the games machine. We all go together as a family and I really cannot tell you how fantastic an impact it’s had on our mental health. It’s like date night for me and my other half and we love it. The members are amazing- motivating kind and caring. No judgement here. Again we’ve all made friends for life. Membership for what you get is more than worth it well done if you’ve read this far- there’s so much more I can say but you’ll see when you join! You really will not regret it x Sarah x

Fantastic experience: As a newbie to a gym I wasn't sure what to expect - everyone here has made me feel very welcome and are so encouraging whatever your goal maybe. The P.T's - I have had a session with each p.t. as they all have different ways of working and I wanted to find which I prefer for consistency - honestly, I would happily have a session with any of them, they all listen to what i would like to do that session and none of them push you further than you can go. Other members of the gym are friendly and are happy to help - there is always a member of staff around and no meat heads ! There is a ladies/female only area that is well equipped if the ladies prefer to be in there for any reason and female p.t's. Changing rooms are gender separated communal with showers and plenty of lockers but you could always get changed in the toilet cubicle if your shy. I am very happy to have signed up - the monthly payments are on the lower side compared to other gyms in Darlington and everything is included - classes & p.t's - most other gyms charge extra for those

Fantastic experience: Always hated gyms, always thought it was the worst place to be, but from the very first taster session every one was so friendly, different from any other gym. PT's included in my membership, classes included with a good variety. Safe to say I now enjoy the gym that's with the help of physique family.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym I have tried a few in the town but never stuck at it but physique is just another level. The staff are so helpful the classes are so well planned and so many to choose from. All pt sessions and classes are included in your monthly fee. This gym also has the crèche where they will watch you child/children while you workout my son loves to go there.

Fantastic experience: Physique is an excellent gym. I’ve been a member at a few different places in Darlington and across the UK and I’ve never felt as much part of a community as I do there. The equipment and facilities are great but the staff, the classes and the free PT element are truly what sets it apart from the others for me. I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone of any age.

Fantastic experience: This gym transformed my outlook to exercise and gave me the confidence to try new things when I was really worried about a historic back injury. All of the team are personable and truly care about the memberships physical and mental well being. You get free PTs in with the price and a wide range of classes. Give this gym a try. Fantastic experience: I joined Physique in Jan 2022, after a few years of feeling unhappy with my fitness and weight gain over covid. The support from the instructors is second to none, the variety of classes available means there is something to suit everyone and your fitness journey. The instructors take the time to get to know you and identify your goals so you can achieve what you want. Its like having another family. Added bonus is that in the school holidays they offer classes for you and your children, which my ten year old loves and it's included in your membership at no extra cost.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Darlington (and everywhere!). I've been to a couple of chain gyms previously, this is so much better. Encouraging staff that actually care about you and your fitness journey, plus a huge range of classes and PT sessions included in the membership price, amazing value.

Fantastic experience: I used to hate gyms, I found them tedious and boring until I discovered Physique and now I can't imagine NOT going. This gym is unlike any other I've been to. It has a real family feel, all the staff know your name and are very friendly and welcoming. As are the other members, there is a lot of support and encouragement from everyone. PT sessions are included in the membership price, as are parent and child classes during the school holidays, my daughter absolutely loves joining in with me, especially Boxfit. There's also a chill out area for the kids to wait whilst you train so you don't need to worry about childcare. I have just completed a 6 week "Tough Love" course which was amazing (also included in the membership cost). I lost body fat, gained muscle and improved my fitness. I was helped with my diet and had weekly weigh-ins to track my progress. It also helped with my overall confidence in using the gym and gave me ideas on what I should be doing going forwards. There is a wide variety of classes and they are very easy to book online. I absolutely would not go anywhere else now, thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Only been a member for a couple of weeks but I can honestly say I already love this gym! Everyone is so friendly, the PTs are really encouraging and friendly, unlike other gyms they don’t just leave you to get on with it (unless you want them to!). I’ve always been so daunted by gyms and found any excuse not to go but thanks to these guys I actually look forward to going! Keep doing what you do Physique, you’re the best!

The PT instructor are fabulous, they care about your fitness journey, they care about you as an individual and support you in every aspect from eating healthy, training and overall mental health. The staff are ultra friendly and they all know your name and offer encouragement and motivation. Love the classes and the style of how they are ran and I know this gym will get be back to where I want to be regrading my fitness , weight and health. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Without fail the best choice I’ve made in 2023! This gym is absolutely outstanding. They’ve helped me through one of the hardest times in my life and given me my confidence back! Their PT sessions are fantastic, Cameron has worked really hard with me and taught me so much, which has given me the confidence to do everything on my own too! Deith and the team are so welcoming and supportive too. I’ve never been good at sticking to the gym but in just 4 months I’ve lost 2 stone and honestly turned my life around. Had a fantastic welcome by Deith and have had many training sessions with brilliant Trainers who make training really enjoyable! All the facilities and equipment are modern and to a high standard. Fantastic experience: Best gym in town. I've been to most in town (including the higher level health clubs) and not one has even come close for value for money and customer service. Going to any other gym now would be a disappointment

Fantastic experience: Joining this gym is one of the best decisions i have made. The staff are amazing and will help you with anything you need. The classes are fabulous and easy to book. I have in just 2 weeks knocked 1min 30 secs of my park run pb with there help. I cannot rate this gym high enough, enjoying everything about it. Thank you to all of the staff there your amazing
