Positive experience: Good gym fantastic price, you can usually avoid it being crazy busy without the hours being ridiculous, which is nice. Everyone seems friendly, without judgement. Showers do the job. Would give 5 stars with A/C, and better cleanliness.

Fantastic experience: Was in Devon visiting friends and recommended Barum as a gym to go. I wasn't disappointed. The gym was spotless, excellent choice of equipment, great music and very friendly owners, who were extremely helpful and chatty when needed. Such a vast range of people training, so didn't feel apprehensive in any way. If ever you're in the area and need a gym, pay this one a visit, I know I will when next down that way. (You can pay for day or weekly passes online / in advance, so you can access the gym if unmanned).

Fantastic experience: Well maintained modern gym run by knowledgeable friendly owners. Fab range of kit, cardio and weight wise. There's a really good atmosphere, gyms can be intimidating to some but that's not the vibe you get being here. Never felt uncomfortable. I refer barum barbell as my home gym from home to those who ask about my gym experience choice of personal trainers here too which i also take advantage of. Brilliant location and would Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Although slightly smaller than some of the other gyms available locally, the equipment seems more extensive. Staff available were really informed and welcome which is great if you're a newcomer and find starting out again a bit daunting. Overall great vibes, looking forward to using them more.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a friendly, non intimidating gym then look no further! Great to see a diverse of people & ages all there for their own reasons, no one us judging anyone. I’m so glad I moved from my previous gym & now back training on a regular basis. Loving it! A choice of memberships to suit everyone from a day pass, weekly, monthly etc no contracts like others! It’s Kitted out with a whole range of equipment, easy to use whether you’re a beginner or experienced. With an experienced team on hand to help you along the way if you need it nothing is too much trouble. Ask as many times as you like! Great to feel part of something special & nothing better than supporting a local independent gym. Go check it out you won’t be disappointed!

With their vast wealth of knowledge, they are always happy to help with whatever fitness goals you wish to achieve. Top equipment, friendly staff, and a true supportive atmosphere. After 21 years as a gym goer, I can safely say Barum is one of the best gyms I have been a member of.

Fantastic experience: One of the standout aspects of Barum Barbell is benefiting from Personal Training sessions with TJ. I cannot express enough how brilliant she is at tailoring the training sessions to my specific needs, whether I am focusing on building strength, improving flexibility, or targeting certain muscle groups, TJ always creates workouts that challenge and motivate me. Over the past 18months I have contended with bouts of sciatica, which has made training particularly difficult. TJ has been so invested in supporting me back in to the gym and I have fallen in love with training again. Barum Barbell is a friendly and welcoming gym. TJ and Kurt are passionate about making it an enjoyable place to workout and connect with others. Lyn P.S I absolutely love the glute drive machine!
