Forge Gym

Fantastic experience: Been training here seasonally for the past 5ish years, so I’ve seen first-hand the amount of heart and soul that the owners have put into improving the gym into the way it is now. Through constant investments in new and improved kit on a regular basis, upgrading and expanding the floor space with new areas and improved toilet and shower facilities, and catering towards all member needs where possible. This is seen in recent years with housing and providing calibrated powerlifting plates, various strongman equipment, crossfit cardio machines, on top of some of the best bodybuilding equipment on the market! The owners and office staff are always so extremely helpful and kind in accommodating to my temporary pass needs and helping me find/use equipment on the floor. Always helpful when I’m in need of a spot or advice when no one else is around. That being said, the majority of the members are also very welcoming and approachable if I need anything, the community in this gym is unlike any other! Everyone in the gym just wants you to succeed and you definitely get that vibe when training here whether you’re a member or a day pass! All in all a great environment for all people from beginners to seasoned gym-goers. The gym floor and changing room/toilet facilities are always spotless! The staff make a great effort into ensuring the gym is clean and kept up to a great standard. The 24/7 membership is a great attribute for me due to my work hours. This makes my training sessions seamless in my schedule without being confined to staffed hours. The vending machine outside reception is also stocked with energy drinks, protein shakes and bars, and often electrolytes, for when reception/supplement shop is unstaffed. Sometimes car park gets full quick but the entire road is free street parking so this has never been an issue.

Fantastic experience: Super nice and helpful gal got us set up for a day pass. As of March 2025 they seem to be available between 0900-1600. It was very easy to pay and get setup. I wish all gyms were this easy for a day pass. The facility itself is top notch- lots of machines, some cardio equipment, and plenty of free weights. Bathrooms with shower are nice and clean.

Fantastic experience: Superb gym. The staff are incredibly welcoming and happy to help with anything. The selection of free weights, cables and machines is also very impressive. The gym has a very appealing interior and is always clean and tidy which is another big plus. It is clear that the team are very passionate about what they do.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly staff and an amazing layout of the gym with huge range of equipment. I like to visit new gyms on my travels and this one didn’t disappoint. Had to pick up the obligatory hoodie and T-shirt too. Highly recommend it

Fantastic experience: I used this gym for five days while visiting Inverness to do the park run and some sightseeing.There is a wide range of equipment, both free weights and resistance machines. Also, there are a number of running machines, rowers and stair climbers. The welcome was friendly and access is available 24 hours. A £10 deposit is required for the entrance fob which is refunded when returned. I had a great time and would use again without hesitation if returning to Inverness

Fantastic experience: I went to Forge gym when I was in Inverness for the weekend. The gym is clean, well equipped, and people actually put equipment back where it belongs! Please train the folk at my local gym The staff were really friendly and welcoming and I loved Glen's awesome music choices . Will definitely be back on my next trip to Inverness.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely class gym! I have tried several gyms whilst working in the area and Forge is definitely my favourite and will be my local when working here from now on. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The gym itself is well ventilated and clean with some amazing bits of equipment. This is clearly a gym run by people with a passion for fitness. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the big commercial gyms I'm used to in Glasgow. Pretty quiet as well, even when the piece of kit I needed was occupied it really wasn't long in freeing up. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Before I even moved to Inverness I was looking at a new gym to call my home, as soon as I saw Forge I knew it was the perfect replacement for my gym back home. Awesome equipment, well maintained and the gym is spotless every time I attend. You can tell the owners really care about the gym and their members, and to top it off they have a quality stock of supplements and merchandise. Everyone there is so welcoming and it's not an intimidating gym at all which is a common misconception with places like this. I look forward to many years of training here and look forward to becoming part of the Forge family. Definitely give this place a try if you want to progress your training because these places are where people come to grow physically and mentally!

Fantastic experience: I train at many, many different gyms whilst travelling. The Forge has a great mix of both unique old school and modern machines, it caters for everybody and you’ll find something no matter what your training style is! The music is great and the facilities especially the bathrooms are spotless and a real credit to the staff. I will be sure to visit again and recommend to anybody in the area.

The gym itself is well equipped for anyone looking to build strength and improve their physique and fitness. However, the real pull here is the people that make The Forge what it is. Staff are nothing but helpful and friendly, whilst members provide all the inspiration and encouragement you need. The Forge is a place where people are achieving their goals, not just because the equipment encourages it, but because theres a whole community of people there behind them. If you want to start your fitness journey, or push yourself to the next level, The Forge is the place to do it.

Fantastic experience: Had a great drop in workout here while visiting Inverness. Powerlifters, weightlifters, and bodybuilders all in one place with lots of great equipment. Dumbbells are heavy enough for nearly everyone, barbells and machines are in great shape, and plenty of bumper and metal plates. Facilities are clean. Staff and membership are friendly and welcoming. If you're visiting or local, this is the place to go! I've been to many, many gyms and this is one I'll remember for sure!

And every time after. I absolutely love this place and there is nowhere else I'd rather workout than here.

Fantastic experience: The forge is a great gym, it’s very well maintained, the kit is looked after and upgraded regularly. The gym listens to its members and takes their views and thoughts into consideration which is also a massive thing. The atmosphere is something I’ve never felt in other gyms, the phrase “forge fam” really speaks for itself. It’s also extremely nice to look at if your into aesthetically pleasing environments.

Fantastic experience: *Free first time day pass* Every gym is subjective, especially for what you’re looking for. But for me Forge offered the “warehouse” option. So typically bodybuilder gyms have better equipment. Which Forge offered a variety of brands. Which is usually a green flag. Most commercial gyms only offer low level equipment, like techno gym and matrix. Forge’s equipment is mostly from Primal strength which is half decent. However, Forge also provides some great nautilus machines. Originally, I thought Forge was going to be a functional/cross fit gym from their google page. But it wasn’t until I further looked into their Instagram where I saw PCA amateur bodybuilders and a few pros. Which made me realise that this was the place to go to. If I were to rate this gym holistically: Metal plates +1 Bumper plates and calibrated plates +1 Lack of cables and bench -1 Old school barbells (like you see in pumping iron with Arnold ) +1 Benches not having a visible mirror when performing an exercise lower than 60 degrees (like dumbbell incline or flat dumbbell press) -1 Separate sections for PPL +1

Fantastic experience: After trying a corporate gym in the area, I decided I wanted to try something new that was a bit easier for me to get to as I live outwith inverness. Louise was super helpful and replied quickly when I messaged about a couple queries I had. I got a show around of the gym when I arrived and with it being my first time at forge, it was free! There is such a wide range of machines and free weights here; I was positively overwhelmed with how much I'd be able to do. I can happily say I will be paying for a membership and returning this week :)

Fantastic experience: My partner had recently tried out Forge for the first time and only had good things to say about it. I decided to tag along as well and try it out for myself. Was greeted by Pamela and very kindly given a free day pass as it was my first time there. Great gym, great equipment and overall a really nice place! I will definitely be back :)
