RAM Martial Arts and Fitness centre was opened in July 2018 by John Reilly and Malcolm White, although the club itself has been running for many years since Master Reilly began teaching in 1993. 

We are a WKA Kickboxing affiliated school. With us you will receive expert tuition in this striking based martial art using traditional boxing blended with dynamic kicking techniques.

We have several circuit classes per day on the RAM timetable. Whether you wish to pop in before work for an early morning high intensity blast to kick start your day, or if you prefer to come along at the evening session, you’ll lose weight, get fitter and stronger and have a great time with a fantastic bunch of like minded members.

Master John Reilly is the founder and head instructor at RAM Taekwon-Do Academy. He started training Taekwon-Do in 1989 with Mr. Kris Ram and he was awarded the rank of Master (7th dan) in Pyongyang, DPRK at the 2017 World Championships.

His true passion lies in teaching his students traditional ITF Taekwon-Do. He originally founded the club in 1993 before opening a full time martial arts and fitness centre in 2018.

Kirsty is a 5th Degree Black Belt and she is Master Reilly’s wife. She began her training in Taekwon-Do with Master Reilly’s instructor, Kris Ram in 1998.

Malcolm is a 4th Degree Black Belt and an assistant instructor at RAM Taekwono-Do Academy. He began training at the end of 2011 and changed his life through Taekwon-Do. Under Master Reilly’s guidance he began training hard and competing regularly in both Taekwon-Do and kickboxing, eventually earning his black belt in under 3 years.

He is a current member of the ITF Scotland team and the WKA Scotland Kickboxing team, winning medals at national and international level in both disciplines.

Since beginning his martial arts training Malcolm has turned his life around, getting himself fit and even started his own personal training business. It was a dream come true to be able to help Master Reilly with the opening of RAM Martial Arts and Fitness Centre.
