The Watson Gym 24/7

Positive experience: I have seen Watson gym grow from the start. Alway investing in quality equipment and improving the facilities. The air-conditioning and 24 hours opening is a real advantage.

Negative experience: a few months ago there was no agreement on the introduction to the gym due to the lack of sufficient staff. but now that I decided to join the gym and wanted to ask a few questions there is a complete lack of response despite several messages sent

Negative experience: Awful gym. Consistently unclean, facilities are atrocious. The owners are simply rude. And they also bring their employees (namely cleaner) into public question when it’s their responsibility to adhere and enforce hygiene standards. Not the poor cleaner. Incredibly weak. Pass.

Negative experience: I have have given 30 days notice for cancelling my gym membership due to moving away in October 2024 After a month they changed me again, I wrote them an email and they said I will get refund , that was December 2024. Now in January I have been charged again even though I haven't use gym facilities since October 2024. And the gym saga is still going on. Beware of my experience before joining.

Fantastic experience: The Watson Gym is genuinely the best gym I've ever stepped foot in. Watson has all the equipment you need and lots of it, there is even equipment I didn't know existed! The Gym is also incredibly well designed as the pink and black colour theme exudes a vibe like no other and the equipment is also located in all the correct areas. Most importantly, the staff are extremely competent and friendly as the weights are always racked correctly and the staff are always up for a chat, especially the gym's owner Louis who is frequently around chatting to members. The best gym I've ever been to!

They have machines I've never seen anywhere else (alongside all the more common ones) and there is ample space and just loads of kit! Everything works and is clearly well maintained... Negative experience: Blokey and intimidating. So expensive. Dirty toilets. Definitely not for beginners or anyone who isn’t comfortable in the gym yet. Good luck ever getting a reply on email if you need advice. Also once you sign up you can’t cancel your membership unless you meet specific criteria! Nightmare!

Staff are not only really knowledgeable but friendly, inclusive, supportive and motivating. Alex has been superb in helping me achieve my goals whilst adapting to work around injuries & joint issues. I’ve made massive progress in achieving my goals, changing body composition, over the last few months - a combination of the right environment, great facilities and the best support. If you’re looking for a change in body composition, fitness & health, stress release and mental well being I couldn’t recommend it more.

Fantastic experience: I was staying at the Premier Inn nearby which doesn't have a gym, so I thought I'd get a day pass for Watson so that I could get a workout in. I was very impressed. The staff were very friendly, the equipment is top-notch (and pink - amazing!) and the gym is roomy and spaced-out. They also had towels available which is a great bonus. I would definitely visit when I'm staying in Frome again.

Coach Quinny is the best and most knowledgeable trainer I have ever come across. Classes are structured and progressive and I have seen fantastic results from them. The owner Louis is extremely friendly and is always interacting with members and ensuring everyone is happy and feels welcome. 10/10 couldn't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Best premium 24/7 gyms. The equipment is phenomenal with a huge range, it’s clean and organised and the members really respect it as well, so even though it’s not always staffed it’s always set and ready for you to get stuck into your training. The staff are super friendly, non judgemental and supportive so if you have gym anxiety they’re here to help as much or as little as you want. The ladies only section is the best I’ve ever seen, it’s not packed with cardio equipment (how it usually is). It’s basically a paired down version of the main gym in a room so you can lift heavy in confidence. They are consistently working on ways to make it better and it’s obvious everyone who is here takes pride in their work! Honestly, so pleased it’s my local! Couldn’t ask for a better place!! No other 24/7 gyms match it in the South UK. The Watson Gym Group is the best where everyone is working on doing and being their best. Thanks for being in Frome!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here now for just over 2 years and it really has gone from strength to strength in that time. It's now much bigger than it was and is packed full of top quality equipment that is really well maintained. It's also probably the friendliest gym I've ever been to. The staff are all super helpful and always cheerful. I don't think there is a better gym in Frome or anywhere else close. The gym is kept spotlessly clean and all the equipment is incredibly well maintained. I suspect I've found the best gym in Frome with the bonus that it's open 24 hours.

Fantastic experience: The BEST gym around. You will not get a better ‘inclusive’ atmosphere in any other gym. Plus the equipment is outstanding with a wide range of machines, free weights and plenty of cardio machines.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous to go here to begin with because I had this idea in my head of what it would be like - blokey and intimidating. I honestly couldn't have been more wrong!! Everyone is SO FRIENDLY, and everyone is accepted regardless or their size or fitness level. I've actually for the first time EVER started to enjoy exercise because of the amazing team and welcoming atmosphere at Watson Gym. My PT Sarah is absolutely fantastic - the sessions are varied, she pushes me to go further, keeps me motivated, and has been great at understanding my health concerns and adapting exercises to ensure I get the most out of the sessions. I wish I had plucked up the courage to join sooner!

Fantastic experience: As an avid gym goer, I feel I know an excellent gym when I see one. As an elite military veteran, I feel I know an environment which fosters great team spirit and inclusiveness. The Watson Gym covers both of those aspects in bucket loads. This gym has personally helped me deal with stress and fatigue, whilst I have personally noticed other fellow gym users boom in self-confidence and improvements; notwithstanding the elleviation of other knock-on effects of hectic working lifestyles. As well as a great crowd and equipment second to none, the staff provide a myriad of invaluable advice. I've personally been on the receiving end of insightful new training methodologies and also offered some of my own when asked by other fellow gym users. If you want to keep yourself to yourself; you can. If you want to dip your toe in some all inclusive banter and motivation; you can. Whatever you are after, you'll find it here. You just need to make that first step through the door and the rest will follow.

Fantastic experience: Trained here a few times this week on a day pass with my boyfriend as we were staying at the center parcs round the corner. It’s an absolute gem, kit is really well maintained and staff super friendly! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. I travel 45 minutes to train here and it is absolutely worth it. The equipment is incredible, and the standards of excellence throughout the facility are first class. It is a privilege to workout here.

Fantastic experience: By far the nicest gym in Frome and surrounding area. Equipment is new and well maintained, gym goers are polite and even has a woman-only-space (which I'm told by my partner is amazing). Only downside is due to location you need to cycle/drive to get there, but plenty of parking and easily accessible.

Fantastic experience: Just signed up for 2 months whilst I'm living in Frome and I absolutely love this gym. Considering there's some referbs going on at the moment there's still a fantastic selection of equipment to use, it's all well spaced out and other members put everything back where they got it from! On top of that the playlist is actually fairly decent..

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place… expensive but worth it, my only improvement would be that they should invest in a sauna. If they want to become the leading gym in the south west of the UK they need to look at this sorta stuff. That being said the gym is amazing but Watson please get a sauna

Positive experience: I've only been training at the Watson for a month, but I love it already. There's loads of different machines so although it might mess up your routine a little, you'll never be waiting around as there's multiple machines for each muscle group. Enough adjustable benches in the free weights area to cope with peak hours and there's a huge range of dumbbells. Although there's a cloakroom hidden away and toilets, there aren't proper changing rooms which can be a pain if you're coming straight from work or school and can't change beforehand. Music can be a little bit loud in some places too, but I've got rubbish earbuds which don't have great noise cancelling.
