And then there was the Bakewell tart flapjacks… Nine of us pretty much took over the whole place on a recent photo shoot but were warmly welcomed despite bringing a lot of equipment in. I wish I’d bought a bag of their coffee, though…

Fantastic experience: The Best Babycino's in Town! As my 2.5 year old would say! We popped into here whilst visiting Bakewell village. We were caught by the sign "speciality coffee" [Yum!] which led us to a small courtyard area. The café is small - around 7/8 tables but this added to the lovely intimacy of the place. It has a really nice fitness/active feel - which we loved - but had we not been into fitness then we would have still felt welcome. The server was lovely and had great energy - which was much appreciated as my little one demanded another babycino! I had a latte and my husband had a flat white - both of which were fantastic! Very reasonably priced too as the bill came to just over £6. There appeared to be a selection of cakes on offer but we are being good so the cakes were not tasted. We would really recommend coffee and or fitness lovers to come here if you're in the area. Toilet facilities were available.

Fantastic experience: Popped in on a whim as I love good coffee. I was intrigued as it's off the street and me and the pooch needed a pit stop. Me the pup met Esther (I believe), had great coffee and a lovely chat while my pup had a good fuss. Since been onto the website to learn a little more. Very inspiring people, very welcoming and that coffee really is great. So even if you're just a weekend plodder like me, pop in, have brew and a chat and be inspired. Lovely to meet you, Bear loved his fuss.

Fantastic experience: Friendliest little café and although good for us, not so good for them, it is quiet! Off the main road so passing trade misses them, great coffee and flapjack. really lovely letting us use the place for an extended meeting. Will be back

Fantastic experience: I just love this place. They genuinely have THE best coffee and brownies in town. But this bijoux box is far more than just a cafe. It's a home for any runners or cyclists that love the Peaks. Sam and Katie the cool owners are bonafide athletes with a detailed knowledge of the area that they happily share with customers. They also offer a variety of small classes in the adjoining gym designed to help develop a rounded athlete plus free runs and cycle rides. There really is a unique vibe there...

Fantastic experience: With 100% sincerity, this is the best experience I've ever had in a coffee shop. A friend & I were visiting the Peak District over the bank holiday weekend. Stumbling in, we had no idea what to do over the next few days. Upon leaving, we were decked out with the itinerary of a personalised hike, intertwining some of the most beautiful areas the peaks had to offer. The staff member (Hate to say I've forgotten her name) & the knowledgable local who helped were both incredibly kind & helpful. Then adding to all of that, you could really see the passion they held over the area shining through. We unfortunately didn't have time to pop in on our way back, but that encounter most definitely made the weekend. The route was impeccably varied, beautiful & challenging. + Always helps when you're starting off any adventure caffeinated on delicious coffee. Couldn't recommend it any higher.
