Fantastic experience: I signed up to Venture Fitness in May 2023. In the 10 months I've been attending I've found the gym to be a great place to work out. The weightlifting equipment is decent, it does what you need it to do. In my time there some of the kit has been upgraded. The place is kept clean. The staff are all super friendly and on hand to answer questions and give sound advice. And they are always welcoming. It's got a good community feel to the place. There's no-one there who judges you or is looking to compete with you or give it the big I am. I've got to know a few regulars whilst there. You can keep yourself to yourself if you desire without any hassles. It's ideal that it's 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In my time there I've found any time after 9am to about 4pm ISH are the best times to go where it's not so busy that you can't get on the equipment. The after office hours of 5ish till around 8:30pm tend to get busy and it can be tricky to get on various pieces of equipment. Weekends are good times to go. A lot of Saturdays & Sundays that I've been have been really good in terms of low numbers, that's mornings through to afternoons. Obviously the late evenings and early morn hours are going to be the quietest times. Parking is a bit of a mare. There's only a small number of spaces actually allocated for the gym. I guess there's the 3 hours free parking (for now in Asda) which helps. I've been to several gyms over the years and venture fitness is probably the best overall for atmosphere, pricing and friendliness. I recommend Venture Fitness Newton Abbot to anyone that has never been to a gym or is looking to get back in to fitness after time out.

Fantastic experience: My first time going to a gym in roughly 12 years, when you join up you get 2 free PT sessions which I highly recommend if you want to get a plan in place of what you want to accomplish. Really supportive atmosphere which really puts your mind at ease because it can seem daunting when you get started. It's not a pushy environment where they try and get money out of you, just turn up and work on what you need to. My PT Nick has been really helpful getting me back into the gym life and has helped massively with me getting a plan in place. 10/10 and would highly recommend

Been a member for a year now and love it, supportive environment and good atmosphere, I go on my own but never feel intimidated like you get in some gyms, all the members are friendly too! Fantastic experience: Best gym in area by far!!! It's always got a fantastic atmosphere where everyone is friendly and will have a joke with you or help if you have a question or leave you to train in silence if you like. Ash and the team have done a brilliant job doing up the gym with an all new paint job and even better new equipment which gives it a character these big chain faceless generic gyms can't hope to match. Ash has been amazing helping me recover from a back injury through his PT sessions. From creating training plans that are pitched just right to making sure I'm looked after and always encouraging me to do better you could ask for better.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly gym! There is always staff about and willing to help! Nothing is to much trouble. Someone is always about to say hello and goodbye! I enjoy my training days and look forwards to them. Diverse gym and no one is judging.

Fantastic experience: A great friendly gym. Since joining a few months ago I’ve got to know a lot of the team, always friendly & welcoming. Some gyms can be intimadating, especially if your not gym fit. This place is the opposite of that, everyone’s welcome and it shows, as all the other members are really friendly too. A quick shout out to my PT Georgie - She is amazing! I’ve never been that keen on gyms, she is full of enthusiasm and the fitness programmes that I’ve been set have really pushed me. I’ve grown to like going to the gym and that’s down to the friendliness at VF and Georgie. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Going to the gym was never really my thing, always apprehensive of being over weight and being new to it and did not want to be judged - Since taking over at venture fitness Ash and Matt have change my mindset completely about going to the gym, This place has a great atmosphere and really welcoming and friendly faces, Also a great selection of equipment! all the staff have extensive amounts of knowledge to help you achieve your targets!

Fantastic experience: Venture Fitness is clean, well maintained and the atmosphere is amazing as well as having a wide range of equipment to cater for all your training needs. Matt and Ash the owners are very friendly and approachable with a great deal of knowledge and experience in the health & fitness industry. If I need some advice about training or just a general chat they are willing to listen and offer advice. Venture Fitness have fantastic personal trainers and a variety of group fitness classes. I highly recommend that anyone who is thinking of starting the gym or is looking for a change to check out Venture Fitness.

Fantastic experience: I looked at most of the gyms around and Ash from Venture Fitness was the most inviting and informative of the trainers i’d met. I had been looking to join a gym for a year and instantly felt comfortable there. I train as often as I can but not as much as I’d like but always receive a smile and hi from Ash and his team. Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere at Venture Fitness, all the members are friendly and the staff are great with a lot of knowledge behind them. Perfect gym for any ages and it also offers classes and PT seasions to suit all abilities. Personally I wouldn't train anywhere else.
