Fantastic experience: This gym is incredible, I joined in July and I would give it more than 5* if possible. The facilities are fantastic, it’s always immaculately clean and looked after really well by the owners and members. They have IPF approved powerlifting kit, a range of weightlifting gear and kit to cater for all sorts of performance. Very excited for the expansion.

Fantastic experience: I have only started working out with Matt a month or so ago after a long break from a big commercial gym. The atmosphere at Powering Through is entirely different and much for the better. Having never done ‘proper lifting’ I was very intimidated to join such a small gym where a newcomer may feel very exposed and visible. Both Will and Matt took their time to put me at ease and introduce me to the gym - both other members and the equipment. Everyone is super friendly and just goes about their own training without making you feel intimidated as a novice, while being approachable if you need a bit of help. Matt makes sure any changes in your habits are gradual and manageable. What’s most important to me, any advice given is based on solid scientific research. Their social media content is absolutely superb. And with this being a small, independent gym advice is totally personalised and fitting your lifestyle. The gym is also probably the cleanest gym to ever exist which may be a small thing to some people, but as someone allergic to dust, I really appreciate knowing I won’t be sneezing through my workout ;)

Fantastic experience: Powering Through Performance Centre is unlike most other gyms, led by the Co-owners Will and Matt, the gym offers facilities to train both professional athletes and everyday folk like you and me. You won't see a row of identical treadmills or elliptical machines, the facility offers a selection of weight training equipment, a central track or astroturf for moving exercises and some Ski-ergs (those things are awesome). The performance centre offers group training, 1 on 1 training, "open gym" sessions as well as seminars, sports specific sessions and a plethora of sports performance knowledge. If you want to train alongside UFC fighters, Superbike riders, Professional Golfers, and other pro athletes, or if you want to try your hand at Olympic weightlifting or Powerlifting then you really should check it out.
