Acorn Gym Club (Club Ewell) was set up in 1987 at St Clements School in Ewell. The club moved to The Rainbow Centre, Epsom, in 1992 and back to Ewell (at the Harrier Centre) in 2001, where it has remained ever since. Club Cranleigh (formerly a part of 'SWGC Gymnastics') has been in the Cranleigh area since 2001. The Cranleigh club became a part of Acorn Gym Club in 2021.
Acorn Gymnastics Club can be found in Cranleigh on Sunday and Ewell on Fridays. Acorn is a recreational club offering gymnastics to children aged 3 years plus who would like to train between 45 minutes and 2 hours a week. We are a club that prides itself on offering all children the opportunity to reach their potential within the sport.
The club also encourages gymnasts to partake in regional competitions. Outstanding and potential elite gymnasts will be referred to clubs with Elite squads when outstanding potential talent is identified.
We offer a fun, safe and encouraging environment for children to develop, whilst exploring the exciting world of gymnastics. We use state of the art technology and boast the latest gymnastics equipment, purchased specifically for recreational gymnastics. Our gymnastics program is tailored so that your child will learn the fundamentals of gymnastics, leading to higher level skills and competitions, whilst having the chance to also earn British Gymnastics badges for achievement.

Acorn Gymnastics Club, Ewell: Opinions
Fantastic experience: My daughter started at the club about a month ago and I'm incredibly impressed! Coming from another gymnastics club that showed little interest in developing the children, I've been really pleased by the effort that Luke and the coaches put into the organisation of the sessions and the training of the children. Coaches are friendly, attentive and the children are constantly on the go, learning new skills. My daughter loves it and is showing great progress. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Loved my time here before we moved to Kent. Really fun classes and the teaching was great.
Fantastic experience: Acorn gymnastics is a very welcoming club for young girls and boys. My daughter Matina has been attending Acorn for 5 years and my son Dimos for 3. They both have loved and enjoyed every minute of it!! Luke works tirelessly for the club and his commitment towards everyone, the kids the parents and the coaches is phenomenal. Over time I ve witnessed both my kids grow as gymnasts and as human beings. Their gymnastics skills come on leaps and bounds but also blossomed within every aspect of their life. During the class Luke and coaches have a great rapport with all the kids, they have a good setup, they are patient and ensure they get the best out of each and every gymnast and more importantly keeping them happy and smiley! I am delighted we are a part of Acorn and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Fantastic experience: Luke is fantastic with the kids, all the staff are great, the class is well organised, the atmosphere is so fun and positive, and most importantly; the kids love it!
Negative experience: I brought my daughter along for a trial session which was arranged with the coach luke, the time arranged was 4pm when turning up at 4pm the hall wasn’t set up and equipment was still being brought in by other team members , I was greeted with ermmm hi and a shocked looking face so I explained we had spoken during the week and to bring my daughter along for a trial session at 4pm which was then told oh we can’t do today as we are trialing for our competition which I would not of had a problem with had I been given notice luke has my contact details it’s really dosent take long to send a quick e mail or phone call explaining the situation , before I rush home from school on a Friday , rush to get my daughter changed and out the door again to be there for 4 . My daughter was really looking forward to starting and was very upset and disappointed when we had to walk away with nothing. I was offered to come down in a couple of weeks for another trial but I will not be returning . Absolute terrible customer service and unless you want ur children to be let down last minute do not attend . I asked you more then once to send me a an email with bank details so I could pay for my daughter’s trial as you said in the wass apps you sent me Your not quite sure why you not sending me the PAID trial e mail with bank details would mean I did not have to pay …. You did not send the e mail so please make it make sense . I also didn’t not appreciate being wass apped by you late in the evening . I will upload the messages between us so future clients/customers can make a decision for them selves . Uve lost me… I did not alter my original review what so ever I replied to ur review , and yes I uploaded the messages between us so future clients/customers anyone thinking of joining can see how a gymnastics coach deals with situations and communicates with their customers and to also prove that you even admitted in the messages that because you was (so busy) you did not get round to sending me an e mail with bank details so I could pay for my daughters trial as like you said apparently I I just see you as some sort of funded class and seemed to think I’m entitled to free classes which I do not atal ,if you could explain how do I pay for a trial when u did not send bank details then id love to know , you cannot! If you could also explain how I tried to ambush you at the venue with my ( small daughter next to me) I’d like to know ? This is clearly rattled you . I hope by now you have more staff to support you and learned to communicate with better . I wish you all the best for the future Luke . I also made no mention of a paid trial as we spoke to the phone whilst you was driving may I add again very unprofessional but that seems like the norm with you , and we agreed you would send me the bank details via e mail which again I never received so how am I meant to pay . Ok if you could explain how I ambushed a small local gym club with (my demands) if you could explain what my demands was then ? When all I done was turn up with my daughter which we agreed the time and date on the phone , but as you have lack of communication and orginastation skills you forgot to let me know so we turned up. I’d rather you not call me dishonest thank you again not very professional ! I have not wrote nothing being a false statement , I have no reason to lie or damage your business of any kind ! I spoke to yourself while you was driving and if you want me to be completly honest with you I actually spoke to you a couple of times while you were driving . I never said you had staff shortages , I said I hope you have more staff to support yourself so this lack of communication, updating parents is not an ongoing issue in the future. I understand when typing a message across it can be re read different , but as for the tone you would not know as it’s in a message . I haven’t changed my review what so ever the only way I can reply to urself is by clicking on edit and adding my reply to youself same way your replying to me.
It is concerning that you seem to take pleasure in believing that you “rattle”, “effect”, and “shock” someone— and puzzling that you suggest that this is all over something as insignificant as some minor clerical issues. ----- This seems to have started because i discovered that you were attempting to gain repeated free trials. You had already been for two free trials in quick succession when you made a phone call a few months later (posing as a brand new customer) looking for another. Previously you booked in by filling in the form, as most customers do; but, on this occasion you made a phone call. Perhaps you thought by having availability confirmed over the phone we couldn't deny that there were spaces later. On that day, I was the one who answered your call (rather than an administrator) and after unnecessarily having to explain about our classes (without interruption) i asked for your details. As the name you gave was one that i recognised, but didn't know the history of, I asked you if you had previously been to our classes, which you acknowledged. You waited whilst i checked the database. I delicately informed you that i could see that you had already recently been for two free trials and politely reminded you that we only offer one free trial per child. Instead of asking for a payment for a whole term (as should have been the next step for someone who had already trialed), I kindly offered you the option of a "paid trial" and said i would send the bank details by email again so we could schedule another class. Although I offered a paid trial, you chose to attend again without a confirmed booking. A few days later you unexpectedly appeared with your daughter at the venue at a time that you had previously been for your two free trials. As explained previously, our club doesn't accept walk-ins or cash payments — this is clearly stated in our policy and shared with all trialists. You would have anticipated arriving at a busy class of infants and accompanying parents. However, on that particular day, unbeknown to you, we had re-arranged timings in preparation for a club competition and only the club employees were present at that time (It was a date that we would never have arranged for trialists to come). A discussion about your booking — or lack thereof — did not take place in front of others as it may have otherwise, due to the schedule changes that day. Nevertheless, despite your unexpected appearance, you yourself state that I (again) offered a paid trial for a future class, but you still left "upset and disappointed (..) to walk away with nothing". Note – Our free trials are designed to make things easy for new families exploring our classes. In over twenty years, we've not encountered anyone attempting to schedule multiple free trials in this way. ----- In reply (to your response to my reply): It's disappointing that private messages were posted publicly, especially without including key parts (relating to our comms) that would have provided fuller context. The phrasing used (“us parents” etc.) suggests that the communication was always being made with the intention of gaining support publicly. However, they just demonstrate your lack of transparency when leaving a fair review for a business. The key part of what was being disputed was clearly about you being asked to pay for a trial (see attached messages - "I had no issue with paying for a trial" etc); yet you ommitted that from your initial review entirely. ----- Your subsequent messages are increasingly emotional, which make it difficult to engage constructively. It's disappointing that things reached this point; nevertheless, I hope Gracie is settling in well at her new club and that things are now more positive for you both.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant club and very friendly staff. Always a great experience
Fantastic experience: My child has been attending for a while now, and we’ve seen so much progress, not just in gymnastics skills but in confidence too. Luke, the owner, is fantastic. He’s always around, super approachable, and really cares about the kids. You can tell he puts his heart into making sure the club is a positive, safe, and fun place to learn. The coaches are patient and really take the time to work with each child individually, which has made a huge difference for us. The gym itself is well-equipped, and the class sizes are just right – never too crowded, so the kids get plenty of attention. My child looks forward to every session, and I couldn’t be happier with the environment Luke and his team have created. If you’re looking for a club where your child will be supported and encouraged to do their best, Acorn Gymnastics is the place!
Fantastic experience: My daughter had been having session here at Acorn for 3 years! the journey had been wonderful, the coachs are kind and caring for everyone. My daughter had a great time and the best experience in her gymnastic journey. The club had also bought them to join open competitions and it was a essential opportunity for kids to widen their horizons!! My daughter enjoyed a lot, I would definatinely recommand this academy to everyone who are interested to start gymnastic.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, well run. My son loves it.

Fantastic experience: My daughters absolutely love their sessions here. The staff are keen and friendly and the progress that my children have made over the last 12 months has been a joy to see.
