Fantastic experience: Went yesterday for a birthday pool party. Did only use this facility. There was ample of parking which is always a good start! I walked into the reception which has a clean and fresh feeling about it. The viewing area was clean and tidy where we sat and watched the children play with inflatables for an hour. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with the children who had come back through reception to get into the pool. Thought, that was the way back to the changing rooms. Maybe some more signage or better explanation from the start needed. Our hosts had brought picnic boxes for the children for afterwards, not sure if there are any catering options packages with the centre. They all had a fabulous time. Great selection of inflatables, and obviously the slide was a massive hit. Would highly recommend for a childrens party if you are looking for that sort of thing

Positive experience: Pools great for kids but the gym isn't the best

Negative experience: They have so much potential to be the best facility for miles around unfortunately a year ago I joined to used the spin studio to find there was very few spins classes both actual and virtual that it did not make sense for me to keep my membership, considering places leisure offers multiple virtual spin classes a day, unfortunately this gym only offered them twice a week then charged you extra for on den classes. If they change their spin class programme I may reconsider joining again and amending my review but at present I am very disappointed

Negative experience: Unless u are a member, its almost impossible to book a lane swim. Quite ridiculous cos its empty when u do get one. Dunno who is paying for this empty pool, i expect tax payers.

Negative experience: Water is too cold. Someone in senior management is trying to save too much money on the heating.

Negative experience: Very pleasant and helpful front of house staff. But since joining up I have found a major issue with coming to the facility to just go swimming. The website is not fit for purpose, it is more antagonising than helpful so I regularly use the app on the smart phone now, which is great if you're not technically challenged, or disabled in some capacity, like being partially blind or if you can even use a smart phone, or can afford to have one - as that appears more accurate, though it can have issues - I am in the position where I've already signed up and I've relayed my thoughts and feelings with the regional manager, who is a lovely and authentic character who has informed me, will pass my constructive criticism on to the relevant people. I am in the process of monitoring and witnessing any change. I will debate whether to continue paying for the membership accordingly. I have edited my review from first impressions, and I am updating as progress, or no progress is occurring. I find Stradbroke is much quieter, but the pool is shallow and there's no slide or sauna.

Fantastic experience: Am 86 and was treated well for first-time getting back into swimming and the slow lane was ideal at 8 am for me and other new and returning muscle-wearing adventureres.

Fantastic experience: Great place for the family. They have a water slide, which is great entertainment for young to middle children. Overall the facilities are good, the shop has the essentials and there are some snacks available though no cafe or real food.

Fantastic experience: Attend the centre most weeks for swimming session. Impressed with ability to book online, with variable time slots throughout the day. Appreciate ability to combine swimming with lower body water resistance strengthening in adjacent small pool, recommended by my physio. Staff friendly and approachable.

Negative experience: Claims to shut at 17:00. I arrived at 16:27 and was told I couldn't buy arm bands for my 2 year old. Staff still behind counter, item was one step from the counter. Couldn't be bothered to do the transaction. Please change your opening times, or better training for staff at the counter. Possible customer service and not a course on picking her nails; Either would benefit your business

Negative experience: I use this gym as it’s the closest to home, arrived at 6.45 this morning and the doors were open, so my partner and I go inside to use the gym. Doors to gym area locked. Apparently it’s open at 7am but, from personal experience, most days you can get in a bit earlier regardless. Not today. The unfriendly blonde member of staff seemed to have a bee in her bonnet today and made a passive aggressive remark within our earshot to her colleagues about having to wait another 10 minutes while storming away, all whilst there were three members of staff already in and sat behind the desk! The front doors were open, lights on and most importantly, it’s an unmanned gym anyway, so what difference does it make?! It’s not an issue of waiting for the gym to be cleaned because that doesn’t seem to start until an hour after opening anyway, if it happens at all! I would say that the rest of the staff are pleasant enough though.

Fantastic experience: My son and I recently joined the leisure centre in Bungay. The staff are super friendly and helpful ! The gym is well equipped and the pool and changing areas are clean and tidy. We haven't tried any of the many classes they offer.

Positive experience: Only visited for child's birthday swimming party (& I didn't go in), but the kids really enjoyed themselves in this very clean pool, with snacks in the viewing area afterwards. There's one small flume as an additional attraction. Staff were all very welcoming. Plenty of free parking too, and not far from the town

Negative experience: The place has a sauna. But you never get to use it!! They dont advertise when it’s open or when it’s closed like other branches of Everyone active do. It can be completely empty and on, but you can still get turfed out without apology for basically no reason. Actually you are made to feel you are in the wrong. A platinum member. And rude customer service @ Tuesday 11th June 2024 8:10pm I’m sick and tired of this. Cancelling my membership.

Negative experience: The bins are left full of dirty nappies for weeks at a time.The ladies gym changing is full of used tampons according to my wife and its takes weeks not days to empty them .Not going back its filthy

Negative experience: Complicated pricing and over priced. I visited today 2nd November to join up with an NHS discount for swimming. Told that whole gym + swim same price - okay fine £24.99 pm. Told I have to pay £34.99 today which includes £10 joining fee and 1 month membership overpayment (so you get this usage back for 1 month from the date you cancel). Then Told I will have to pay £48 !? On 1st December for following 2 months ?? No explanation why - its just how everyone active do payments. So to just join everyone active to go for a swim I have to pay £80+ in the space of FOUR WEEKS?! Even my David lloyd membership was cheaper. Thanks for nothing in a cost of living crisis but I wont be joining.

Fantastic experience: Love bungay swimming pool. Only improvment would be to clamp down on people who book and dont show up to the swimming pool and block the slots for others. Other than that the facilites are all clean and staff always friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool, very clean and well run. Nice bonus was a sauna next to the pool. Pool was salt, not chlorine which is a great idea. Better for your skin

Negative experience: Dirty and not very well run. sauna and pool is never in use as there's always a class or event on during peak times. The gym has a lot of useless equipment and the place is very dirty. In my years going there I have never seen a hoover out. Walk through the changing rooms in white socks and they will think you've been working in a hairdressers all day.

Fantastic experience: Attended the swimming pool yesterday 05/09 at 3pm session. I have not been to the pool for a long time and I was amazed at the facility in terms how clean and well organised it was. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Took my granddaughter who's 3, she loved it especially the slide. We all went (6 people) in the family time, very nice atmosphere.

Positive experience: Good gym however limited time accessibility to the sauna, so like me if you like a sauna after gym you will need to avoid during swimming lesson and school swim time. This makes the times the sauna is available very limited.

Fantastic experience: Went swimming not over crowded even when full. Good shallow parts for children. Really good changing rooms family changing rooms, group changing rooms. Spectators area. We as a family of 3 were really impressed. Well done to the young staff.

Positive experience: Have recently moved in nearby and have grown to love this place. The membership is really reasonable and now as well as going to the gym and sauna I can take the kids swimming as often as I like for free, as I'm a member and they're under 5 Staff are lovely. All I'd say is make the sauna hotter and OPEN THE GYM LATER ON WEEKENDS closing a gym mid afternoon at weekends is insane

Fantastic experience: Fabulous, love this swimming pool been coming for over 30 years. Love the light coming in from the roof, lightens the whole place. Swim and sauna...great. only shame is how long it takes to mend showers and other kit when they break down.

Positive experience: Easy to book online all swimming organised in time slots, only thing I would say is need slightly larger changing rooms, more showers and lockers as all change in the same area and can get a bit busy when time slots overlap.

Positive experience: Good facilities, all newly renovated bringing it up to a modern standard. However sauna and clothes drier are already out of use and swimming slots still have to booked.

Fantastic experience: Went with a friend who was signing up for swimming lessons. Very nice staff who really went the extra mile in explaining everything about the centre, showed us around the gym. I shall be going there myself to swim and possibly gym.

Negative experience: Been going to the pool for years. Since this new company has taken over, it's more expensive, time is limited and we spent 15 minutes of that time trying to find a locker that would lock. Seeing us struggling with the lockers, other customers vocalised their complaints. I thought a community leisure centre was a public service, not a money making scheme.

Positive experience: Great new gym needs some tweeks some machines are not needed should be replaced as promised 6 month's ago , still not happened, Now 18 months still no changes TV in corner never worked since opening

Positive experience: Massive update.... The pool has been refurbished! Changing rooms are all new, the pool water temperature is now perfect and there is now a small spectating area. Would recommend! Not the cleanest of pools unfortunately. Changing rooms and showers are in desperate need of refurbishment or could do with a good scrub if nothing else. Pool water is quite chilly. Fine for an energetic swim but too cold for family sessions. Obviously needed for hygiene reasons but far too much chlorine for me. Quite uncomfortable at times. A nice facility to have locally but just a shame about the negatives. Won't be rushing back!

Fantastic experience: Much nicer since the refurb. Changing rooms and showers especially! Love the safety aspect of the new spectator area, but it makes it difficult for your children to talk to you through the thick glass. Pool is still the same though, wish they'd put some of that money into making it a bit better.

Fantastic experience: Refurbishment is great, this is for the swimming pool and changing area specifically. Looks much cleaner, friendly reception staff, and not overcrowded swimming sessions. Well worth a visit. Lockers take £1 coins that you get back. Kids love the slide (and so do the adults).

Fantastic experience: Just had first swim after lockdown. Had my 7 year old grandaughter with me due to extra day off. Very well organised and 50 minutes plenty enough time. Social distancing all adhered to.

Negative experience: It was such a disappointing first visit to Waveney Valley Leisure Centre. On the plus side, the place was clean and the facilities were bright and modern. But the majority of the staff looked like they really didn't want to be there (the receptionist in particular appeared rather disinterested). The water slide was closed, which is understandable given the current circumstances. However, as we travelled here especially for the kids to use the slide, it would have been nice to have had some form of notification prior to booking so as to avoid the tears and upset after we'd arrived. Instead, we ended up paying more and travelling further to do what we'd do at Stradbroke, which has more accommodating members of staff. I probably won't rush back.

Fantastic experience: Me and my children visited recently, even with all the rules at the moment, it was a fantastic experience! The staff are brilliant, everyone was really great and explained the process. We could use the changing room after but had to be swim ready when we arrived. The pool is really user friendly as it has a ramp for wheelchair users and a shallow section for small children. The app was easy enough to book on aswell. Great centre

Negative experience: I would have thought that the closure due to boiler repairs would have been an opportunity for a much needed deep clean and makeover. Instead, the black mould is still there in the mens shower; one of the shower heads is still leaking and black bits of something and other rubbish on the floor all indicate usual service (or lack of it). The water was pleasantly warm although it was oddly quite salty. I believe the management of this pool is outsourced to Sentinel. This is the same Sentinel that keep the Bradwell Pool immaculate!
