Fantastic experience: We did a children’s party here at the weekend with one of our character party drop-ins. The staff were friendly and so helpful. The hall where the party was being held was a fantastic size. They had a large bouncy castle and a good-sized soft play area in there, and there was still plenty of space to play the party games. Fantastic experience: Excellent gym and sports facilities at very affordable prices with good well trained and courteous staff.

Positive experience: Great facilities, not too busy and always very clean. Only let down is the lane layout in the pool. Some lanes have are set up as double wide which halves the effective lane space. This makes some sense for the slow lane (and perhaps the medium lane) for those that are not comfortable with single lane layouts but makes very little sense for the fast lane. It would be a lot better to split the fast lane into single lanes to minimise overtaking, increase effective space and also allow fast lanes with different speeds (a faster fast lane and a slower fast lane).

Also the womens toilets in the pool changing area almost never have soap, smell of urine, and the toilet seats are often detached.

Positive experience: For the third week in a row there has not been any toilet paper in the toilets in reception. Surely there should be regular checks to stop this happening? Also it would help if the car park machines took debit cards. Otherwise, no problems.

Fantastic experience: My son had his 10th birthday party here at the weekend and I can honestly say he and his friends had the best time… the lifeguards made it so fun dancing, splashing them etc. I would definitely recommend the inflatable party it was great.

Fantastic experience: Hosted a birthday party at Uttoxeter Leisure centre, sports hall hire, bouncy castle, sports equipment great value for money. Staff were wonderfully helpful, helped with any of my queries. I use the leisure centre for a number of different things and can’t fault them.

Negative experience: Very poor. My son went for swimming lessons here for years. He's never received a single certificate for his years of swimming. Everybody moved up other than him and he can swim perfectly, never have to worry about him. I requested to speak to the manager and they never got back to me. They told me he is a good swimmer, but he's not been moved up a class and the others are in his year at school, one of them is even his cousin. It has caused him to be teased and bullied and now I have a vendetta with the incredibly poor company. I have now cancelled his lessons and removed him from the center. DON NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO PROGRESS AND ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE OF LEARNING TO SWIM.

Negative experience: The receptionists are friendly, Amy Cooper is a superb instuctor. The manager seems incompetent in my opinion and complaints/queries are fobbed off. Escalation is pointless. The membership offers are very misleading (be careful when you sign up as a better offer is often around the corner) . 4 very popular manned classes have disappeared off the new timetable (Jan 20) replaced by more virtual classes...and the same virtual classes have been repeated continually since introduced August 2019 and the reply was that to keep the timetable "fresh" . The place has great potential, and a really lovely and talented staff team. Update 7th June 2023. I have now left Everyone Active Uttoxeter Leisure Centre. The promised daytime classes were never replaced. The centre did not recruit more Instructors. The Spin Classes that were over subscribed when they had 18 bikes are impossible to access now they have created a Spin Studio (cupboard) with just 11 bikes, it is claustrophobic. The class studio has been removed to house 4 weightlifting racks that have remained inactive for the last 12 visits I have made. So the big sports hall is now being shared eg Kids badminton with boxercise! There are no instuctor led classes on Fridays or Sundays. The repetitive virtual classes draw less than 4% occupancy ...but they tell you they listen to and act on feedback. It's cheap but you only get what you pay for!

Fantastic experience: Holiday club for the children and they absolutely love it. Crafts, sports, games, swimming - all offered by loving and caring staff. They always have a cracking time and are throughly powered out by the time they come home.

Negative experience: Freezing cold pool & air temperature. Every person in there today was complaining about the temperature. Parents with children were getting out early because their children were uncomfortable. The last time I went there a few weeks ago it was also cold, obviousley have turned the temperature down to save money / increase profit, however this will lead to less people using the pool.

Negative experience: Pool is now poor relation to the gym. (Some people enjoy swimming not gym) Swam here up until Nov not been since til a few weeks ago. Very disappointed by the drop in standards in the pool area I was going to take out a couples membership for swimming glad we went back first Pool air temp was cold the pool itself was cold the changing area floor had dirty foot prints and quite honestly needs a deep clean

Positive experience: It's hit and miss to be honest. There is no options to only be a swimming member which is annoying. I don't want to use the gym there, I only want to use the pool but it's expensive so the only other option is a full price membership. I wish there was more options but there's nothing plus they've put up the swimming prices too! So I won't be going back now until there are more options and I have been a lot. Because it's shared changing rooms, sometimes you can get kids banging on the doors and trying to poke your feet under the stalls and it's kinda weird that it's unisex now to be honest. It's clean though. The pool temperature is good, the pool is very shallow but always has been. The lifeguards are polite and not on their phones, but they will allow kids to dive bomb. Overall, it's good sometimes and bad others. The pricing options are, well there are no options! Change that and I'll come back. Give us a swimming membership option please!!! I don't want to use that gym, I have my own.

Jane is absolutely fantastic and has brought my daughter on so much in a short space, really over the moon! On to stage 2 ! Facilities are always clean, staff lovely and never over crowded, brilliant

Fantastic experience: Love the leisure centre, such an integral part of the community, we used the gym, the occasional spinning class and the swimming pool...also take the granddaughter who is learning how to swim. Nice, clean facilities with changing rooms and shower facilities. Lovely friendly staff...what's not to like...well done Uttoxeter Leisure Centre...

Positive experience: Nice modern facilities. The pool is warm and comfortable. Good sized changing cubicle system. Lockers take a returnable £1 coin or supermarket trolley token. The hair dryers are free to use.

Positive experience: Staff are awsome and friendly that's why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. Pool is small but clean. Gym is small but good equipment. Changing rooms are quite grimy and showers are awful, they really need an upgrade. I've come from living in loughborough and charnwood leisure centre has given me high expectations. Price on the membership is very good, only 28 quid. Just found out you get parking money returned at reception for up to 3 hours. Although 3 hours is 2.50 amd they only give you 2.40 but hey ho. Edit: would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: It's great and I would like to thank all of the staff that were working last time I was there! I'm epileptic and had an absence seizure when I was at the gym. The staff helped me out, got me a drink and sat down with me. They were all amazing! One even walked me back to my flat when I was well enough to head home. I had also organised a session with the personal trainer there the week beforehand and she couldn't have been more helpful. I had stopped my membership too for now as I wouldn't be back for a moment and they were all excellent on the reception before and after I had been ill and really considerate about it. I think the person who made sure I got home safe was one of the lifeguards. Thank you all for your help and I'll be back again! :)

Fantastic experience: Good gym setup, friendly staff, welcomes people from all walks of life. Also the gym isn't intimidating like a lot of places. Since the upgrade the equipment is top notch. Also has air conditioning for hot days.

Fantastic experience: Fab changed a lot in 20 years

Fantastic experience: Didn't go into the leisure centre, we visited the park and recreational grounds outside the leisure centre. This place is absolutely gorgeous, acres and acres of parkland , woodland and play areas at both ends. Great for a family day out or for dog walks. A brook runs alongside, a part of it where kids can paddle, or other areas where your dogs can go in to cool off. There are picnic tables here too and lots of park benches if you need to sit down and rest or just relax and enjoy the views. Families with kids could easily spend a good couple of hours here and not get bored cos there is plenty to keep them occupied. A definite five stars for this park,

Fantastic experience: Great place for a family swim, nice and relaxing didn't feel rushed to get out of the building once swimming session had finished. We went to the 3:00 pm Sunday session, will be going again. Don't forget to get your parking refund.

Positive experience: Being only 11, there isn’t much you can do at a leisure centre. Although, whenever I go swimming with my mum, there is always something at the bottom of the pool and some ‘odd’ people using the facilities. Once, it got extremely out-of-hand when there were large, brown marks at the bottom of the pool of which I alerted the lifeguards with. They did not seem concerned and sent a person swimming in the pool to check it out! It looks as if the pool has never been cleaned.

Fantastic experience: Credit where credit is due. This is my first time in the pool at the Leisure Centre. I am disabled and struggle with mobilitt. The staff at the centre bent over backwards to help me and ensure I was comfortable. Help was immediately given. Very disabled friendly. The changing facilities were spotlessly clean. The disabled changing room was spacious and also spotlessly clean. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Used the gym as a one off when my son was at a party in the area (I live in Tarporley!) and was very impressed with the staff and the quality of equipment. Was easy to join online (for free) and also do the induction online. Meant that after checking out my membership when I first arrived I could just pay for a one off fee and use the gym. Very clean and well kept facility and will certainly use again if in the area.
