Loftus Leisure Centre

Positive experience: Leisure centre is decent but there are never any staff on reception, they just go off and leave it unattended. When you call it never goes through, you get one automated message saying "we are experiencing a high number of calls" and then it goes straight to another saying "sorry I'm not available", every time. My husband ended up wasting £7 today having to book a second slot for a squash court because he couldn't make the first one he'd booked and no one would answer the phone for him to change the booking. He's also got there on time and been stood waiting ages with others at reception as no staff are there, they even had to shout a cleaner to go get someone to let them in which wasted their time they had booked, ridiculous. Saltburn leisure centre always has 2 or even 3 members of staff there when you walk in

Fantastic experience: Ample parking, clean facilities. The pool is maintained well, the staff are friendly, the gym is on the small size but quiet and fully equipped. The sauna is good, overall worth the membership fee.

Positive experience: Great leisure centre with good gym and swimming facilities. Staff are really friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the opening times, I’m not sure why they can’t open at 07:30 every morning rather than alternating between 07:30 and 09:00 through the week.

Fantastic experience: Good free carparking. Easy access, staff were very helpful and friendly. Baths looked very clean and tidy. Temp of water was a little cooler than I would like but it won't stop me going again.

Fantastic experience: Went to 09:30 family swim. Only a few swimming so it was ideal for encouraging my grandchildren to practice their swimming. Pool very clean and attendant keeping a close watch on activities. Overall a pleasant experience

Negative experience: Tried to go in at 20 past 8 and they said they had already cashed up but there was still 40 minutes till they had closed

Positive experience: A great resource for the East Cleveland community. Always clean and tidy with friendly staff who are always on hand to help if needed.

Positive experience: Lockers don't accept new pound coins. Reception will swap for a token,but frustrating when you have already got changed

Negative experience: Poor staff with very bad attitude and needs a refurbishment of the changeing room pool is very shallow but is quite modern

Positive experience: Good, spacious and airy leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, separate kiddies pool and viewing gallery in between. Adequate gym, dance studio and squash court. They hold fitness classes and have swimming lessons (and decent sized lockers, unlike some of the others in the Everyone Active group). Reception area with seating, hot and cold drinks dispensers and snack machines. The staff are always friendly and ready to help.
